How well does this work with a ret pally? I know he shows it but he’s not max lvl using blood and such can you set it so it knows the last .01 second to push blood for twisting? Or is it just gonna highlight blood the whole time till it’s pushed ? I see this working well on pretty much any other toon but ret to me seems difficult to set up!
I love the idea of doing this for all the classes/specs. Feel like they would help a lot of people closer to launch, and also those views from those videos... would be a pretty nice extra for you probably

He says the rotations are easy and will get harder and I'm over here sweating trying to get used to timing my power shifting right and still wearing that level 40 helm because it's BiS I guess. It's goofy but pretty fun
I setup seal twisting on pally. just have to keep in mind there will be a lot of conditionals AND youll have to know the basics of how to play anyways. For the complex stuff i find it just helps like show when the combo is starting. Like in pally seal twisting i have .5 sec on my swing timer to hit that twist if thats any consolation how specific you can get.
Would be cool to see the rotations. Could make it easier for me to pick a class as well because I'd actually know what's going on with the late game gameplay :D
I've had a look at this and it doesn't look like it can deal with dots that have a cast time. For example Vampiric Touch, Unstable Affliction or Immolate. The cast time of these spells varies with haste. So if you set this up to say "glow when there is 1.5s left on Immolate", then if you have a haste proc then you'll clip your dot. If you just say "glow when Immolate isn't on the target" then you're missing out ticks and losing dps. It needs some more complex conditions to be able to handle this
I had no troubles setting that up, you just have to know the times when those things happen and program it to see if that buff is on you to use that condition, place it higher on the list and bam when you have the haste proc buff it will use that instead. This addon is not easy to guess at sometimes, might have to write out a flow chart and then test it in the real world before taking it into a raid. While you can change the order on the fly trust me setting condition on the fly is a pain in the ass.
I would really like to see a complex example of a setup (Cat maybe ?) to see what it can and maybe can not do. For example i wouldnt know how to set up Savage Roar and Tigers Fury. Nice videos btw! Really enjoing the content lately.
This actually looks very usefull for casual players wanting to learn more about their rotation and understanding it abit more since they easily can analize and set up their own rotation. Instead of trying to understand their rotation while dpsing. Im gonna try this and try to get my guildies fiddle around with it. Hopefully making them more hyped about maximizing their rotation. The best performance comes from having fun improving
I used an addon in WotLK through Warlords called Event Horizon. I was a big fan of that because it showed cooldowns and dots all in one place and on a "linear time" scale. It didn't tell you what to do, but gave you all of the info you needed to make that decision fairly optimally. The 5-10 second look ahead on remaining times were great for helping you choose what to do next during your current cast/GCD. Gonna try to find that and get it going for LK again.

i like the idea of you setting up rotation master for every class/spec at 80 and putting it into import links, im lazy and would much rather just copy it.
There's a rotation addon called Hekili that i think dates back to wrath. It calculates the optimal rotation and suggests abilities based on optimal dps and even factors in if youre moving or not. It also automatically distinguishes between AOE and ST dps and changes priority of suggestion accordingly depending on number of targets present. Using Hekili or the addon you've featured is great if you don't have the rotation as muscle memory yet but the negative about them is people tend to tunnel vision on it and lose focus/control of their character by some margin.
I love this! I’ve been making weakauras to do similar things (highlighting frame selector / buttons) depending on cooldowns and debuffs. But this seems like a great start. I have a lot of ideas for other options to add and if we can get them added (like prioritize other spells depending on how many mobs are near your character, showing the spell icon come up on the screen instead of just highlighting it on your bar, work on hostile targets only, allow you to use on items (potion cooldowns) as well, etc. Basically everything I’m already doing in my custom weakauras), I can eventually move away from having weakauras take care of this. It will also be a lot easier for the average user to set up compared to weakauras. If you ever need someone to help test anything out or are in need of some features to add, hit me up!
This is very useful for alts and off-spec where you can't remember everything.. I used CLCRet back in WOTLK and Hekili on retail which does the same thing so, nothing new, but glad to see one for classic.
Adding them is def. A good idea for getting newer players and or returning players a place to start. I know I was overwhelmed a bit when I started playing WoW and figuring out rotations and looking up guides; this is a simple & easy starting point and new & or returning players can expand and learn as they want from there.
Great video, I started back in WoTLK and as a new player I used a rotation addon. Can't remember the name of it now but was very helpful for new players. I think it would be a great idea if you could custom and link rotations for classes mainly for first time players or like me who ain't very good at other classes. I especially think frost and unholy dk rotation would be amazing. I personally have always wanted to play dk but never got the hang of them and lost interest. Nice Clip Scotte . It would be interesting to see this set up for a class such as an SV hunter with explosive shot procs and other classes ( that have class / talent builds ) specific proc abilities and/or trinkets / Eng tricks to throw into the mix . To the max and beyond !!!
I'd like to see some in depth dungeon guides that include important boss mechanics, important trash pack abilities that need to be interrupted, buffs that can be stolen with mage spell steal, that sort of thing. I have been playing on a p-server recently and noticed a lot of people have very little idea what a bunch of mobs are doing and wipe to things like runecasters being able to get their fire buff off.
I'm not actually a big fan of using to many add-ons because I feel like that takes a lot of skill out of it but I like how you explained it and pointed out the problems you had.
great add-on, is there an extension of it where it clicks the hotkey of the blinking spell, or even if it just clicks on the spell with mouse would be satisfactory. finally a solution for the hard decision making of what spell to use out of so many, now i can boost a char to almost max level, buy gold get good items, and have a solution to not be trash at it.
Hi, i have a problem, for a rotation, im a class, warlock, when i enter for a rotation master, when i put for a spell, i follow your steps,but, the rotation of the spells does not work for me, because it only stays at 1 and the others nothing.
Got this today and started using it on the DK, can't get the addon to correctly indicate when to use icy touch and plague strike. even with conditions set, it skips the 2nd spell in the rotation. If icy touch is first, it skips plague strike and vice versa

I'd love so see this addon on feral dps (probably with bear weaving) and how to set it up with (f.e. savage roar use with 5 cp and when to use rip and rake if it's not on the target) and probably when to use bear would be best for bearweaving as procs of ooc might be troublesome. Especially cause we all know that feral is a great class, but maintaining all the skills can be horrible at the start. now that we probably need to bearweave aswell, it would only make the rotation harder. i guess this addon could come in pretty handy to maintain all buffs and debuffs to maximize dps without trouble. would be great to hear from you. Can't figure out how to get this to monitor Warlock Curses, I set it to CoE, but trying to figure out how to tell it to switch to CoR or CoW if CoE is present from another player, am I asking too much of the addon?

Making a series with a video for each class / spec is a great idea, but honestly It'd be easier on users if he just coded profile exporting/importing to the addon and you could make another video with links to your exports in the the description (or update this video with them). Either that or post yours in the description of each video for more content, or some variation of the two.
ngl took a minute to figure out some of the settings for pally seal twisting but i eventually got it. Pretty nice clean scratch programming if/and style setup. Was most curious if there was gonna be a weapon swing remaining, to my delight there was so Rm seal twisting works. glowing seal of martyr at .5 sec wep swing and judgment cd > 2 working.

There is an addon called gnome seqencer that allows you to make one button rotations for almost any class. It is very good for people with disabilities in hands or fingers.

Any idea on how well it could be implemented on speccs like enhancement shaman in wotlk that have no set rotation but more like a dynamic priority list depending on proccs and stuff? Like, can I tell the addon to always highlight lightning bolt as soon as I'm on 5 stack of maelstrom weapon, for example?
Im leveling a sm/ds lock and I see a lot of guides say throw corruption first but wouldn’t it make more sense to throw agony first for the ramp damage?

I may have missed in the video but does the addon recognize duel talent spec. (Example- I main resto shaman to heal dungeons and raid but quest/farm as elemental and have the addon set up as elemental. When i go to swap back to heal a dungeon is it still going to tell me the ele rotation?)
Tried to use this addon, but did not have the same success that you did. I am sure I am doing something wrong. worked for a couple of hours trying to adjust conditions and other stuff and didn't have any luck. So thought I would cast my vote to encourage the creation of rotations for all classes. This was a great video and it works I am sure. But can't figure out what I am doing wrong.
Super neat addon, while I don't think it's a good idea to do 500 5 min videos, maybe a 10-15 min video for each class covering all 3 specs in same video
Seems like the same thing as TellMeWhen except that one queues up your globals so you always know what is next (similar to Hekili on retail), and this one doesn't seem to.
I haven't seen this addressed anywhere but: How will the healing power to spell power conversion work? Will my existing spell healing number be my spell power or my spell damage number? Effectively if I'm say a priest/druid heals main and want to go shadow/balance to lvl. Will I be able to do this just with subpar 2ndry stats or will I have rly bad damage to?
If you wanna cheat you can use pixelbot to make a 1 button macro using this with any class. It would just press whichever bind is highlighted for you while you hold down/spam any X button set in pixelbot :D I tried this by using conditional WA that only shows up 1 icon of what's the most optimal skill/spell to use and it worked too good. Not using it anymore though, for obv reasons.
All in all the addon seems pretty decent, I would have liked to see some memory usage as well. Myself I am a man of many specs, and a lot of Them don’t see the playtime they should, so an advanced base combat rotation would be pretty nice - so content wise i would say go for it.

can you setup exorcism for example, so its only active in rotation with undead mobs?

WeakAuras and TellMeWhen are always going to be better for higher level play but this is nice for new players.

Any idea on how well it could be implemented on speccs like enhancement shaman in wotlk that have no set rotation but more like a dynamic priority list depending on proccs and stuff? Like, can I tell the addon to always highlight lightning bolt as soon as I'm on 5 stack of maelstrom weapon, for example?

Im leveling a sm/ds lock and I see a lot of guides say throw corruption first but wouldn’t it make more sense to throw agony first for the ramp damage?

I may have missed in the video but does the addon recognize duel talent spec. (Example- I main resto shaman to heal dungeons and raid but quest/farm as elemental and have the addon set up as elemental. When i go to swap back to heal a dungeon is it still going to tell me the ele rotation?)

Tried to use this addon, but did not have the same success that you did. I am sure I am doing something wrong. worked for a couple of hours trying to adjust conditions and other stuff and didn't have any luck. So thought I would cast my vote to encourage the creation of rotations for all classes. This was a great video and it works I am sure. But can't figure out what I am doing wrong.

Seems like the same thing as TellMeWhen except that one queues up your globals so you always know what is next (similar to Hekili on retail), and this one doesn't seem to.
I haven't seen this addressed anywhere but: How will the healing power to spell power conversion work? Will my existing spell healing number be my spell power or my spell damage number?
Effectively if I'm say a priest/druid heals main and want to go shadow/balance to lvl. Will I be able to do this just with subpar 2ndry stats or will I have rly bad damage to?

If you wanna cheat you can use pixelbot to make a 1 button macro using this with any class. It would just press whichever bind is highlighted for you while you hold down/spam any X button set in pixelbot :D I tried this by using conditional WA that only shows up 1 icon of what's the most optimal skill/spell to use and it worked too good. Not using it anymore though, for obv reasons.
What about switching from single target and aoe rotations

All in all the addon seems pretty decent, I would have liked to see some memory usage as well.
Myself I am a man of many specs, and a lot of Them don’t see the playtime they should, so an advanced base combat rotation would be pretty nice - so content wise i would say go for it.
