I know some will disagree, but personally after playing only a warrior for the last 15 years, I think Arms is the most fun spec to play in nearly all of it's different xpac forms. Fury is a God tier spec as well, but the carpal tunnel gets real sometimes lol
Raided as pally tank, mage, hunter, and warrior dps. Warrior dps is def the most fun for me, fury warrior will be main from lol 60 classic through wrath and beyond.

Its just dawned on me that Wrath Classic will be the first time in Wrath I main a DPS spec. I mean 'sure' I briefly played Enhancement Shaman and had a single trial raid, but that barely counts for anything (and I was pretty bad). This time I'm going in as a Hunter. So regardless of anything else it should be fun comparing it to the awkwardness of TBC (I still love Hunter, but the 'quirks' are getting a bit thin in places, like auto-clipping, pet AI, etc). I can't wait to actually have proper AoE damage rather then doing my single target rotation and passively cleaving when there's more targets (and occasionally memeing with Volley to remind myself how pathetic it is and wonder how Blizz screwed it up so badly).
Fire mage becomes even more fun when you get to Ulduar and the tier 8 4-set bonus. Being able to shoot off 2, 3, maybe even 4 pyroblasts in a row just feels so good! Watch your threat if this happens early in the fight though 😅
do you find that a lot of people playing high skill ceiling dps rotations tend to tunnel a lot more as well? i always found as a raid leader that the single button classes were the best “raiders” in terms of paying attention to stuff
Probably varies, i have 2 monitors and when im playing my destro lock just spamming shadowbolt i tend to be doing other things on my second monitor while raiding, whereas something more complex would require my attention to stay on wow.
When you go for things like this like say as you frost DK you don't only use frost moves do you? What makes frost funner than blood and unholy? And thank you I really enjoy your videos and I also am fond of demonology warlocks
@@tableslam personally that’s why I’m switching from my feral main. TBC feral feels unique, WotLK feral is too much like a rogue (which I don’t like that much). I’m going demo lock instead.
Rogue was my main and I had a blast with it in classic all the way from MC-Nax but I decided to switch it up because of how unwanted they are in TBC. TBC feral has been awesome, being able to switch from tank to big pumper dps by switching a couple gear pieces has been very fun. I'm just having a hard time picking my main in wrath Rogue- Chill rotation, very familiar playstyle, and on top of the charts throughout the expansion Feral- Unique spec, so you will probably only find one in a raid, fairly good dps if you play it right, and a very rewarding rotation to master. Plus I already have a sunwell geared druid. DK- fresh class for me that I've never played, top damage class, very high survivability with plate armor, and a really cool ascetic.
Same here mate mained hunter since i started in tbc always had either a rogue or warrior alt gonna main rogue for WOTLK first time ever not maining hunter lol
Rogue is my fav for sure! Combat was more so for PVE but the sublety and assassination trees were so much fun for PVP. Just keeping people stunned then vanishing and stunning again... it was so much fun to be able to control fights that way I could being rogue. Only weakness was almost always a Paladin... They always pissed me off and were borderline impossible to deal with. Especially Ret Pallys
was playing on a private server some time ago in prep for wotlk classic and for the first time leveled something other than warlock or rogue. I picked a warrior and had A LOT of fun with both protection and arms. I never really enjoyed tanking before but prot really hit the spot for me and arms was a lot of fun with overpower and execute procs. I do really like the stealthy ninja playstyle of the rogue or the DoT and Rot style of affliction but somehow Arms was really something I didn't expect to have as much fun with as I did. Not sure what I will level when I start wotlk classic but it is def between these 3 and also considering shaman.
Im kinda in the same boat except i had a rogue main in vanilla and wanted something opposite so i went with priest . I enjoyed DPSing 5 mans but felt like the importance of a healer was fun. I enjoyed healing 5 mans a lot of the utility other than dps the priest brought. Come TBC rolled a shaman which was cool as enhance but geared resto and didnt like it for arenas so i made a warrior alt which became my main. Loved the concept of just charging in a killing mobs and also really enjoyed tanking 5 mans.. it gave me the whole range of dps, healer and tank with those classes.. There's something to be said about a tank or healer being able to save a group from a wipe. Ony my rogue I always knew I had an ohh crap button in vanish but i think out of all 3 positions I actually enjoy healer for 5 mans, I think it takes the most skill and attention to group detail than just dps. Im now playing wotlk warmane and I am trying to go something i never really was which was pure ranged dps in lock, hunter, mage.. i have em all mid to upper 20s and it's tough deciding which one i wana continue. These lower levels are fine to keep em on pace level wise but i cant keep doing that across 3 characters.. im leaning more to lock and mage since i have the least played time behind the wheel with them. I did have a 39 hunter for pvp in tbc but warlock is probably my weakest knowledge based character I have rolled for a caster class.
@@Mixwell1983 yeah leveling 3 characters at the same time is just going to burn you out 10x faster. I started Wotlk classic and I ended up leveling a warlock again. I got to level 73 or so and quit because I got bored from the tedious, repetitive and slow leveling. (affliction) Warlock is an efficient leveler, in PvE you can never really run out of health and mana, but in the end it was just kinda boring when I didn't have 7x exp from private server. Not sure which warlock spec you want to play but after playing affliction for so long I can say that it really doesn't have a whole lot going for it rotation wise. Keep up the DoTs and fill in with shadowbolt, and then Drain Soul when the target gets to a certain health %. On AoE you spam Seed of Corruption. That's pretty much it. Demo might be more fun due to Decimation and Molten Core talents but I haven't played it at 80. You have some cool utility flavor spells like Fel Armor but it is just an apply and forget buff for the next hour thing. For PvP your slow ass self-healing isn't all that impressive, I mean a Shadowpriest can just drop shadowform and heal far better with Flash Heal than you ever could with Drain Life. Paladin's instant Flash of Light from Art of War is better too. Shaman's and Druid self-healing is also far better. Before you start getting gear at 80 you also do damage waaaaay too slow. People can easily outheal it. You don't really have any kind of burst either (you can pump with Drain Soul when the target hits 20% health though) (as affliction), so you should probably team up with someone in arena who does, and also someone who can slow/peel for you. Resilience will be a super important stat for you too. Destruction does have burst but if you're against a melee team they will stick on you like glue and never allow you to cast. (if they know what they are doing). Demo is not really viable for pvp. Affliction can be pretty good in 1v1s though, but is kinda hindered in duels due to limited kiting range. (this is just my experience, I might just be bad, probably) I leveled a hunter for a bit on Classic but kept forgetting to buy arrows which was annoying, the hunter deadzone also killed the class for me. I have zero experience playing mage but I've heard fire should be pretty fun in PvE and be viable in pvp. Frost is a beast in PvP if you can play it well. Nobody can touch you, not viable for PvE tho. I would say pick the warlock if you REALLY enjoy the class fantasy and can find a lot of enjoyment in the fantasy/Roleplay aspect (not Goldshire roleplay but are really into the fantasy of the class), the actual gameplay (affliction) gets kinda boring after a while. Your dots don't really have any spell effects and they all basically function the same way and it can be bothersome trying to keep all of them up on multiple targets. Your shadowbolt is slow as hell to cast too and doesn't look all that impressive spell effect wise, and kinda does shit damage before you have Ruin talent.
@@Mixwell1983 Also you can check out nibbai (has vids on both affliction, destruction, mage and hunters) and Kivrus here on youtube if you want to watch some pvp vids before you ultimately decide.

Yesss!!! It had to be Demo Lock - my favorite Class in WoW - especially in Wrath - where it truly shines! Execute phase in Wrath is so satisfying when playing a Demonology Warlock: Corruption, Immolate, Metamorphosis, Immolation Aura, Demon Charge, pop your trinket and start spamming Soul Fires when Decimation procs - simply awesome. Also - Locks have Demonic Circle which is a great spell in both PvE and PvP.

I did have a 39 hunter in tbc but beyond that I always ran melee via rogue/warrior and had healing classes via shaman, druid and priest at max levels during certain xpacs.. never had a straight caster/range dps during any expac.. I am digging hunter again and the different pets, i have blizzard on my mage now and my lock i can dot up 3 mobs with my VW tanking mobs.. This is all solo leveling and I feel like if i could pick 1 to level vs triplets it would be faster but i like aspects of all these classes. Id say Warlock is the class I have the least experience so I am leaning towards that but my hunter I caught up level wise in 1/2 the time and really enjoy collecting pets for various buffs/abilities
I totally agree with 1 and 2, my choice was between Firemage and Demolock, in the end I choose Demolock for the fun rotation and sick raid support, and I like Destro/Affl as well.
Fire Mage holds a special pace in my heart in WotLK. The AoE talents you mentioned make it a fantastic dungeon leveling spec, if you can find good tanks to hold off of you. Then you get to rip Hot Streak pyros at bosses, there's never a boring moment in 5-mans for Fire. Most fun dungeon spec in Wrath IMO, tied maybe with Warriors of all breeds.
@@alsius9162 beyond Living Bomb, you have Dragon's breath (Cone of Cold, but fire) and Blast Wave. Fire also has a talent, which triggers when you use either ability, that makes your next Flamestrike an instant cast. So, Living bomb > Breath > flamestrike > blast wave > flamestrike, or something like that. It's super fun
I’m still undecided on what DK spec I will play but frost does sound fun. Was thinking going blood and tanking rather than dps for a change but I know all 3 specs can tank.
Demo/Ret are the most fun rotations in wotlk imo. Demo is like affliction but bigger crit numbers and you only have to watch 2 dots instead of 4. demon mode. Execute is a pyroblast spam instead of a 1 button channel
Arms warrior gains a lot of fluidity with the Rend and Overpower procs and is really fun. And Bladestorm is just awesome. Tbh though warrior in Wrath is generally just an all round fun class in every spec. Fury is fury. Arms is the above and deep Prot has Shockwave and a lot more utility than before.
Indeed - and Prot actually becomes one of the best levelling specs in the game! Where in vanilla - Warriors were the hardest classes to lvl (in any spec), in Wrath - Prot warriors are ridiculously OP for levelling - they dish out crazy damage (with Sunders and Revenge) while having so much protection from damage - and of course they can gear up fast as they will be in high demand for dungeons (like most tanking classes).
As a feral main for vanilla and tbc I'm surprised you didn't include feral cat in this for wotlk as well. Wotlk feral is fun for so many reasons, the rotation, the mobility, the insane burst aoe to name a few. It's also one of the few specs which really works well on every fight and has great utility. The single target rotation is the star of the show. It's fun to learn, hard to master. It's never the same from fight to fight, no reason to get bored either. You have multiple ways of approaching it to gain some more dps (optimizing berserk, snapshotting bleeds, using bear form on downtime, taking risks on crits/combo points and clearcasting procs to get more ferocious bites) and the theoretical dps ceiling is extremely high. I like many specs for a lot of different reasons, but nothing ever comes close to feral cat IMO. It's so fluid and instinctive, very hard but never frustrating, and extremely rewarding when you get a good fight.
Ambush sub rogue is fun at the moment. Im 3 shotting everything while leveling. Sometime 2 shotting if Eviscerate crits. And WPVP is a breeze with this spec
As for the DK there are some really cool mechanics that when u want to master the dps for frost you should know. For example for t7/t8 u go sub blood spec and u have lower cd on your dots but there still is a combo where you can press 3x times obliterate back to back
great fun and tricky to play. early expansion up to ulduar its actualy best, later on MM takes over (more boring) but with good gear you can keep playing SV and do well (even beter dps on some bosses ICC compared to MM) great fun imo
thats great to hear, im a melee player looking for a fresh experience - i love procs, involved rotations and utility so have been stuck for choice between demo lock and survival hunter
I mained a rogue all the way until they ruined it with outlaw spec...I'm ready to go on a fresh sever, If that doesn't work out, I have a 70 rogue waiting
Color me shocked, I honestly thought you’d be enhance in your top 3. Not a complaint, I’d guess you’d choose fire mage and frost dk, the 3 was a pleasant surprise

I’m still undecided on what DK spec I will play but frost does sound fun. Was thinking going blood and tanking rather than dps for a change but I know all 3 specs can tank.
Can you do all the Raids as Frost DK Tank (with proper tank gear but Full Frost talents)?
this is mine for raids. just a preference really
1. Unholy DK
2. Fire Mage
3. Fury Warrior
God that demo lock looks awesome
Cant find "PCs by Game" - think they removed it? :(
rogues because i like rogue and have been playing one for the better part of my life at this point lol
Should i go pala, shaman or dk?
@@AntisnakeYT ty for the answer. What about pvp though?
@@Wonnnebju ele shamans are really fun in PvP
yeah for sure I'm rolling Pala and enhance sham for wotlk, shaman feels quite nice going into wrath
yeah for sure I'm rolling Pala and enhance sham for wotlk, shaman feels quite nice going into wrath
In T7 you will have time to level all 3 of them, gear them up and decide who will be your main
5:23 rip flint from prodigy
og firestarter
how did you set up your action bars like that in wotlk beta? macros?
Great content like always
Gonna do everything! Oh how I missed you DK!
Fun watch thanks for this
Demo/Ret are the most fun rotations in wotlk imo. Demo is like affliction but bigger crit numbers and you only have to watch 2 dots instead of 4. demon mode. Execute is a pyroblast spam instead of a 1 button channel
Ret paladin is really fun too. Nothing turns me on more than thicc Dstorm crits.
@@shtroizn warrior def not hardedt they wreck mobs
Whats The add-on that says (2 hits) and damage number on screen in The Dk gameplay?
It's so fluid and instinctive, very hard but never frustrating, and extremely rewarding when you get a good fight.
what addon is doing this floating text of yours
My brother got all the footage for the video but it looks like MSBT
Fire mage was my fav in TBC, so looking forward to try in wrath
are there any changes to racial passives in wrath?
Imagine paying for youtube subscriotion then still get ads within the videos themselves
Yo scotte, could you by chance test if Faerie fire can proc omen of clarity in cat form?
Can anybody confirm that Every Man For Himself will be change to “will to survive” and will only remove stun effects?
Why should blizz change the Human racial?
where did you find this info?
TBH top 3 for me are
3-Furry Warrior
2-DK- Frost
1-Ass Rogue
just go and hit had, try to run from stuff and pop crits
As a warlock, you just summon the stone in WotLK, you don't have to summon every single 123.
Thank u scooterjohnson for this nugget of wisdom
Ambush sub rogue is fun at the moment. Im 3 shotting everything while leveling. Sometime 2 shotting if Eviscerate crits. And WPVP is a breeze with this spec
Is the reason you don't like pet classes because you main a pet?
Haha pretty much lol
Dude thee most fun spec to play in wrath is prot warrior gladiator specc👌👌
Now if you want pvp fun....who doesn't want to eject people from eye of the storm or off lumber mill as an ele
Don’t forget about us typhoon boomy’s from prowl!
@@jackgemuenden7727 and also blast wave mages
But thunderstorm knock back is the strongest from all these mentioned
As for the DK there are some really cool mechanics that when u want to master the dps for frost you should know. For example for t7/t8 u go sub blood spec and u have lower cd on your dots but there still is a combo where you can press 3x times obliterate back to back
I knew Tauren warriors were OP. That one in the thumbnail is wielding a gnome rogue as a weapon. Imagine his trinkets
What's that combat text add-on?
I like your videos but man, the complete absence of pvp is really is a bummer
Yeah, PvE is cool and all but doesn't keep me nearly as entertained as PvP
What addon is he using that is the scrolling combat text?
Msbt its called
thoughts on survival hunter?
great fun and tricky to play.
early expansion up to ulduar its actualy best, later on MM takes over (more boring) but with good gear you can keep playing SV and do well (even beter dps on some bosses ICC compared to MM)
great fun imo
thats great to hear, im a melee player looking for a fresh experience - i love procs, involved rotations and utility so have been stuck for choice between demo lock and survival hunter
What a coincidence, exactly the classes i have chosen to main in Wotlk, except that I play unholy because I like the pets
What is the MOST FUN DPS in WOTLK Classic?
3. Warrior
2. Warrior
1. Warrior
death knight looks badass so thats it for me. Played a rogue in classic, hunter in tbc, want something new for wotlk.
Going Prot Pally main and Fury Warrior alt.
I'll go spellhance sham, unholy dk and survival/mm hunter this expansion :3
I’m not here to say these classes aren’t fun, but I can’t believe enhancement shaman isn’t there
I also expected Enh to be on the list. Wrath did so much to make the spec really fun.
I mained a rogue all the way until they ruined it with outlaw spec...I'm ready to go on a fresh sever, If that doesn't work out, I have a 70 rogue waiting
There is only one ansver: Enhancment shamy :-)
“Demonology” should be renamed to “Sargerasology.” It just rolls off of the tongue so easily!
Assassination rogue was much fun to me in Wotlk. I will try it again in Classic.
Same brotha
a typical fire mage raiding spec doesn't use dragon's breath/blast wave/firestarter
if i remember correct you dont take blastwave/DBreath/Firestarter for your fire raid spec.
wotlk frost dk dps is the most fun ive had in pve in wow, probably ever
Color me shocked, I honestly thought you’d be enhance in your top 3. Not a complaint, I’d guess you’d choose fire mage and frost dk, the 3 was a pleasant surprise
upgrade your pc for wrath of the lich king classic lmao :D
Enhance Shaman for sure
this is the only answer
I would agree except the fire totem management is pretty clunky
Problems with these two casters you are pretty much dependent of gear to hit ok. The DK used to hit like a truck from leveling to the end.
So excited play mage, can't wait.
