Are you ready to make a switch to another TV provider if a new deal is not reached before 9/1?
I've got a bad feeling about this
Thank goodness I don't have DirecTV... I will definitely not be missing my Primos or Hamster & Gretel episodes when this unnecessary drama begins...
All Disney Channels went dark about 7:00 PM today! “F” them both, too greedy!
Unfortunately this may only become more common with live TV services that offer the full list of cable channels. With Disney, Fox, and Warner Brothers trying to launch Venu Sports it's causing a bigger ripple.
Dtv done raise the packages and channel prices while the black out going on dtv cause all this😮
I pay for an ESPN + subscription of less than 14 bucks a month and I'm watching more than I can watch. Not gonna pay nearly 100 bucks a month so any cable provider gets rich
Blackout happened right as I was watching a show. 😔
There was a high chance this was going to happen. It's in both of their best interests to get this resolved as soon as possible.
Same soooo annoying
I only watch ESPN for the games, not the pre game shows or sports shows! Disney/ESPN needs to get rid of all of those overpaid analysts and useless shows! All they do is push their salary requirements to customers, and most of us don’t watch those cheesy shows anymore!
DIRECT TV IS always in some contract Dispute with some network 😡
We may see more disputes with other carriers when contract renewals are up with Disney,Fox, and Warner Bros due to the Venu Sports situation
Bye bye directtv
Which service if any are you switching to?
If they don’t have this resolved by Sunday I’m leaving and finding a new platform after being with DIRECTV for many years.
@@michaelh181 we can definitely feel you on this. For sure it's frustrating for what they charge and these disputes are an ongoing issue. Hopefully they will get a resolution soon.
I WAS JUST TRYING TO WATCH GRAVITY FALLS AND THEN THE "our contract with disney has expired" POPPED UP
It's never a good time to shut it off especially when the viewers are set for Prime Time viewing. Hopefully a resolution is not far.
@@CFL-TECH They chose the perfect time to go dark with College Football and the NFL starting their seasons! Pathetic!
While the blackout still happened the owner of the networks knows the provider needs their networks to survive and to keep customers. The provider knows the potential revenue loss from advertisers the network owners could face. Right now those stakes are higher with the start of football. Both sides have to be going non stop to get this resolved.
I had the DTV stream version and dropped them. That’s the beauty of no contracts. Switched to YTTV and surprisingly their picture quality is now better than DTV. That wasn’t the case a couple of years ago. And it’s less costly. Things can change and I could go back at some point. I’m not married to any of them. I will never go back to Comcast’s tho. Their customer service is horrible.
Exactly! While these situations are frustrating to customers it's great we have more choices than ever. TH-cam TV has been improving things under the hood over the last year. Enjoy!
I enter my info and press “search”. Nothing happens. That’s convenient
This is bullshit so sick of god money running the show how about direct tv refund my money
Disney is my least favorite company ever last year I had spectrum when they did the blackout now I have direct tv
They're making their rounds and know how valuable sports are. The Venu sports venture is a huge indication and also throws their weight around with all of the providers. Spectrum worked out some stuff with them with separate streaming options for their customers. We're seeing this with DirecTV now trying to work out something similar.
@@CFL-TECH This is supposed to happen at 5pm
Might as well switch to Hulu live, they are.partnered with Disney and there will never be a.dispute with them.
@@lpj1263 Great point! If Disney channels are blocked on Hulu we have a bigger problem😂
@@CFL-TECH why don't switch to Dish Network
@@CFL-TECH there's nothing
Disney are a bunch of crooks
College football fans have a problem. NFL? Not yet. First Monday Night game on 9/09 is being simulcast on ABC. First ESPN-only MNF game isn’t until 9/16
ESPN will simulcast the games on local TV in Atlanta and Philadelphia. Cox Media Group owns WSB-TV, the ABC station in Atlanta, so even if it ends up airing on ABC in Atlanta, it won't get dropped on DirecTV because Disney's ABC station group doesn't own it. On the other hand, ABC owns WPVI in Philadelphia, so chances are if they put it there you can't see it on DirecTV, and you should be able to use an antenna regardless. Plus, if you're a hardcore local fan of the Falcons or Eagles you won't even need ANY streaming service or video provider since the NFL makes sure ALL games are aired FREE in local markets, even if the game is on ESPN or another paid channel or service.
DirecTV not have college football games and ESPN and abc and 4 channels too
Unfortunately Disney is limiting simulcasting. They're tightening the grip!
@@CFL-TECH me have TH-cam tv
I’ll never go back to cable I have antenna and can get my local football team that way so I don’t care about this
You are fortunate to be close enough to the towers unlike some others where you can use an antenna to get your games. 😉
@@CFL-TECH do you think they will definitely do the same like it was with TEGNA And NEXSTAR
Carriage disputes are like hurricanes. No two are the same but they can all create similar damage 😉
@@CFL-TECH I've got a really really bad feeling about this
@mkllg-fe5uu as of right now it's not looking good. They could pull a rabbit out of a hat at the last minute to stave off a blackout. Also they could put a temporary agreement in place while they work on a long-term fix.
