My family does keep Magic Spoon in the pantry at all times. I've been a customer for 2 years now.
I agree big time with your ranking perfect and if I could be a little picky my favorite shows Cobra Kai. All the seasons including the final one to come.🍿🍫🥤📺🤳
I dont with your take on Max
Because yes they're content available everywhere else.
It's still smart strategy because they're double dipping
You can still get their movie on other platforms and max
Either way. Those distributions things will come back to them
The bright red & blue lights in the background are annoying.
Is there a reason you did not discuss TH-camTV?
@@tubesterberg It's not really a streaming service in the same sense as the others. It's a way to use TH-cam to access TV channels. That's not the same concept as a streaming service.
One thing I really like about Tubi is that they have a lot of older lesser known movies on there that other streaming services don’t have
Do you really like streaming unpopular movies?
I will like to know.
Haven’t watched this particular video yet but think the fact you do this is outstanding. All well and good reviewing movies (which is great and I really, really enjoy), but with the price of everything these days a lot of people will struggle to have access to all streaming services and someone giving an honest, realistic view of what should be prioritised and what suits fans of certain things is really great. Thanks for doing this.
Appreciate it

Netflix, Max and Disney+ are my big 3
Same, and probably that way for a lot of people. I do have Hulu, as well. We also kind of randomly have Paramount+ because of my wife's love for their crime show archive.
Same!
I was going to get neflix or paramount since paramount has south park and south park specials and neflix because of the cuphead show and or sonic prime
If I could only have one, it's Max without question
Your comment indicates you use more than one streaming platform.
What streaming platforms do you use and which to you prefer?
Apple TV is my favorite! Had all my favorite shows: severance, silo, blackbird, ted lasso, shrinking, lessons in chemistry!
I have it and love it 2 drawbacks that I have are that the library is very very limited (growing everyday) and their policy of non negativity towards China that drove Jon Stewart away
Always look forward to these every year
1. Netflix
2. Max
3. Prime
4. Disney plus
5. Hulu
6. Apple TV
7. Peacock
8. Paramount plus
I have Max and I barely use it because I hate trying to find something to watch because the way you search on there sucks. I like Peacock better than Max. To me Hulu would have worked best being the one to stream all the non Disney properties they own
For my family it is Netflix, Disney+, Amazon prime, Max. I personally watch Paramount+ quite often because of survivor and big brother.
Solid video. Keep up the good work!
Max is still my favorite and it's not even close. The library is the deepest and most diverse and now they have a relationship with A24.
Paramount+’s A24 library is great too
@@Ne0Nights Showtime definitely has the best A24 catalog but I don't care for a lot of other Paramount franchises
@@Trill_Tour paramount w showtime is definitely better than the service by itself. Though us reality tv fans love Paramount’s catalog of reality tv
9: Tubi (It, Her, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Pan’s Labyrinth, Rush Hour, Master Chef, Kung Fu Panda)
8: Amazon Prime Video (The Boys, Invincible, Marvelous Ms. Mazel, Jack Ryan, Friday Night Lights, Gen V)
7: Apple TV (Foundation, Ted Lasso, Morning Show, Peanuts, Shmigadoon, Spirited)
6: Paramount+ (Picard, SpongeBob, Interstellar, Mission Impossible, Star Trek, 1923, Rabbit Hole, Halo)
5: Hulu (Family Guy, Futurama, Jeopardy, Echo, Only Murders In the Building, The Bear, Prey, Smallville)
4: Peacock (Live Events, Dreamworks, The Traitors, The Office, Yellowstone, Ted, John Wick)
3: Netflix (Arrowverse, Stranger Things, Daredevil, Cobra Kai, Umbrella Academy, Breaking Bad)
2: Disney+ (Marvel, Star Wars, Disney, Pixar, National Geographic, The Simpsons)
1: Max (DC, Game of Thrones, Big Bang Theory, Harry Potter, The Sopranos, LOTR, South Park)
No shot Prime is that low
Daredevil isn't even on Netflix anymore. Disney bought it off them along with the other marvel defender line up so they are only on Disney+ now, even tho everyone still calls it Netflix Daredevil
@@ryanfruge8819the shows and stuff are great! However, some stuff is not free and the user interface sucks! It’s such a confusing, overcrowded layout! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve say something interesting that was like 10 dollars. I love The Boys, Invincible, Reacher, etc., but it’s not very user friendly imo
Disney+ is great because it has Lost, X Files, Prison Break. And a bunch of great movies too.
Comic book stuff is probably the last reason it’s great.
wow i didnt know disney plus now has prison break! @@TripsX
I pretty much agree with your list. Max use to be my #1, but the cost-cutting really de-contented that service for new exclusives. Netflix has rebounded with lots of new content.
Apple TV+ is definitely underrated, especially when it comes to Series. Their strategy is to put out quality rather than quantity. Severance, For All Mankind, Silo, Foundation, Shrinking, The Morning Show, Ted Lasso, Monarch:Legacy of Monsters, Black Bird, Hijack, See. Very High quality shows and you aren’t left wondering what to watch and not knowing whether it will be good or worth your time.
I don't disagree. I think I acknowledged that to an extent, but when ALL you have are originals and you didn't start as early as Netlifx, it's tough to have enough to keep people coming back every week.
Bro For all man kind has to be one of the most under rated shows this decade. Severance, Silo and Foundation are brilliant too. AppleTv is perfect to buy for a month or 2, watch everything and unsubscribe until the next seasons are out.
@@SeanChandlerTalksAbout i’d argue apple tv+ has the most amount of new original content year round compared to every other streamer
I love the afterparty great apple show
It's because there's no superhero shows lol. I've noticed Sean mostly likes really formulaic, easy shows/movies. Really good, quality shows like Severance, Silo, For All Mankind, The Changeling, etc. won't really interest him. If you notice, the only thing he mentioned was Ted Lasso - formulaic, easy to digest.
HBO max is definitely the best streaming service
I liked it when it was originally called HBO Max
@@jetguy128in my country it is still hbo max haha
Probably not anymore... These F-kers tripled the prices in 30 countries if you wanna keep 4K, idk if the content will be worth it, I don't like true crime and sports and "everyday" tv @@jqsperxD
Wish the turner classic library was a lot deeper...
@@jetguy128Yea HBO Max or just HBO was badass not Max simple Max 👎👎👎👎
I think my favorite streamers (beside Crunchyroll) are Netflix, Prime Video, and Max. Everything I need is on one of those services and that’s all I feel I need
I love tubi. It's full of big things like you said but also very underground low budget horror movies from every decade which are fun to check out.
In Australia we have something called Binge which is a weird kinda combination of Max and Peacock because they aren't available in Australia, and I think it's pretty great. It has some of the HBO Max and Peacock originals, as well as a lot of the DC Comics back catalogue and major DC films. It is aligned with the Foxtel cable TV in Australia, and has live channels from Foxtel such as WWE, CNN, MSNBC, History Channel, BBC, Cartoon Network and can be linked with a Sports Streaming Service
Nice. In Indonesia we got HBO GO, which is HBO max but the lite version.
Great video idea! Thanks Sean
Are you going to do a full review of the beekeeper? I know you did a quick review, but I would love to see you do a full review/breakdown. I watched it a couple days ago and I loved it so I would love to see your thoughts.
Love this channel!! Been watching Sean for such a long time now..
Awesome! Thank you!
Also for a “free” streaming channel, I really love Pluto TV
With Peacock there’s a show on it called the Traitors, I watched it in the uk a couple of years ago and would most definetly recommend it to you Sean
Cirie was so hype!
Great Vid, Sean!
I still think that Netflix is king. Their animation alone (Blue Eye Samurai, Pluto, etc). from the past month has been amazing.
Plus they’re the only ones with international content
Finally someone else who loves international content. Netflix' approach of having content from overseas to be shown to the whole world is genius not like others that will produce for certain country or region and just leave it there is again genius. I can honestly say that at least 20-30% of my viewing is live action international content and if it was not for Netflix others would not even give it the time and day.
Peacock is hugely underrated....good sports, shows, and movies for a cheap price.
and Shrek 1 and 2
Haven't watched the video yet so i don't know if you mentioned this tv show from disney, but i was wondering can you do a reviwe of Percy Jackson and Olympians when all the episodes come out
OMG I can't believe you mentioned Hollywood Video. That's awesome
5 days for $1.50!
I spent hours every week walking the ailses trying to pick the right movies to spend my $1.50 on
@@SeanChandlerTalksAbout I remember doing the same lol
"I like DC as you can see from my shirt." 😂😂😂
🤣😂🤣😂
I thought that was funny too!😂😂😂
Come on Sean. Apple TV plus as last is HORRIBLE wiff. Sure their movies need work, but the amount of good shows they have is impressive. (Severance, Silo, Slow Horses, Blackbird, Ted Lasso, See, Shrinking, Hijack and many more I haven’t even seen) Quality > Content
I may be in the minority but I find people's analysis ridiculous. Archives are mostly garbage made to fill in and give the impression of abundance. The abundance of garbage is called a dumping ground. People mention old shows as the reason why Max is the best. I love some of those old shows but I don't think you are watching Game of Thrones over and over again. And "Brand"... Brand doesn't matter if it's only for marketing and the actual production is bad. It's like something that looks beautiful on the outside but inside it's pure rotten. That doesn't get a low score to me, that deserves a negative rate. It's disingenuous with the audience, it's dirty, it's almost criminals. The only services I trust or respect are Paramount and AppleTV+.
Damn, what a perfect video for my algorithm
Great video 👏🏼👍🏼.
Great ranking. My favourite is definitely Disney+
Peacock is my favorite. It has all the shows that I like to rewatch and has football. If you’re a student it’s only 2 bucks A month
Peacock has so much potential but they just need to add more content from their vast Universal catalogue that they have hidden away.
Well I rank Paramount+ first due to the awesome Soccer coverage they got. UEFA competitions. Asian competitions, Italy Serie A, Brazil and Argentina leagues as well.
My biggest problem with Netflix is the app crashes on me every so often, sometimes freezes and I have to unplug my tv and restart it. Only streaming service I've had that problem with
For me: Crunchyroll & Netflix
Why? Spy x family, Oshi no Ko, Zom 100, The glory, Revenant, Bloodhounds, Jujutsu Kaisen S2, Aot S4p3 specials, Blue eye samurai, Trigun Stampede, Rurouni Kenshin, The apothecary diaries, My happy marriage, Mask girl, Gyeongseong creature, Alice in Borderland, All of us are dead, Sweet home, Kingdom, Vivy: Fluorite Eye's song, Fma & much more :)
All severely underrated 🔥🔥🔥
Well mostly lol
Can we get a ranking of all the rankings
Netflix are the most focused. They make over $1 Billion as month. No one would have predicted that 10 years ago.
The thing Apple needs to do is put local television in so they can sell it as a premium package with their sports. I believe they need to do this before Netflix starts providing local broadcasting channels with their sports.
Ive actuallly come to love Hulu recently. One Punch Man, Robin Hood, Edge of Tomorrow, the Creator ... Lots of good stuff!
Vikram too!
Hulu is great, a lot of people sleep on it because Disney now has full control of it but it still has a library that can only be rivaled by Netflix and Prime. For me Hulu is #2 behind Netflix.
Could not agree more with you're ranking. After watching Homecoming and The Peripheral on prime... it got higher on my list! Although my third favourite would still have to be HBO maxx cause of True detective and Westworld😊
Netflix all the way!!
Disney Plus easily has the best user interface. So simple and intuitive.
Continue watching is too low tho.
@@Anpeo yes, and there's no "remove from continue watching" button
Living right in the middle of Big Ten country moves Peacock up a spot or two. I open that app more than any other app during the fall.
I have Netflix and Disney+. It should be enough for me if I also have Prime Video and Apple TV+ but I think that isn’t gonna to happen.
I know it that Netflix is the number 1 on this list. Prime video is also great for this year because of shows (Fallout, Mr. & Mrs. Smith and The Boys S4) and new movies (Road House and more).
I recently;y cancelled all my streaming services. The number of things I actually wanted to watch just went down and down (and some like Amazon didn’t have much on there to begin with, as this video notes). So I’ve started buying DVDs again. You can get a second hand copy of lots of films for under £1 in the UK so I’ve started doing that, plus splashing out on the blu-ray for stuff I like more. You get to keep the movie or show forever and you can watch youtube or the free sites for everything else.
4 or 5 for a quid is what I usually pay, though I did pay £2 for an old B/W war film from Hammer studios recently that I knew I would probably never come across in a charity shop again.
First. Whats up Sean I love ur content
Thanks so much!
9:05 - smallville
19:39 this was exactly what my User Interface class was talking about.
Can someone recomend a streaming service with thr biggest movie library? Netflix is cool but i cant seem to find most of the movies i like, not super new movies but, movies that have been out couple years.
The one thing that makes me put Prime and Disney over Max and Netflixis that you dont have to pay extra per month to watch content in 4k UHD.
I hate that on HBO Max with its gigantic archive of DC Films has a paywall making you pay like $20 a Month just to watch it in 4k UHD, same for Netflix.
with 50% of all TV Sales last year being 4k TVs and higher you would think that streaming services would at least let you watch it in the best quality possible
I love the handmaids tale on Hulu and love the stuff from TLC, HGTV, CNN and Food Network stuff on Max.
I always forget that Netflix has different content in each country. US vs UK Netfix are so different! 😅
Thanks
My top 3 of 2023/2024
1. Prime Video
2. Disney+
3. Max
Book of Boba, Mando 3, Obiwan Kenobi, Echo, Falcon, Ms Marvel, Secret Invasion, She Hulk. RIP good content. And that's without the Movies they've released 💀
Tubi is the best. I found all the Hatchett movies
There are awesome shows and movies on Tubi. Its a good complement to Prime.
Never thought about getting Apple +. Netflix is the only one ive cancelled. Paramount+ has the Taylor Sheridan and others (Joe Pickett). Hulu is whatever. Disney+ is nostalgia. Peacock is kind of just there for me. Tubi the goat. Prime is my favorite for exclusives and oldies and ofc TNF
P.S. agree about Paramount. I mostly only use it because i know the show is coming there.
I just can't with Prime, their UI is clunky and not intuitive at all. For me it seems like they are always trying to sell me something and it is the worst for overseas travel.
@@mosando I never really use it on my TV (on my laptop mostly) so I don't have an issue with it. But can see why.
My top streaming services would be… the site I pirate anime and the site I pirate movies, both old and new 🤪🤪🤪 nah but really, a lot of the time you’ll catch me watching somethin on Netflix, when they got good classics or some new films I ain’t seen 👍
Shout out to David Zaslav for decimating HBO Max
Not all heroes wear caps!
Some just make hundreds of millions while ruining companies!
does anyone know if i can get Hulu without having to get Disney +
I frequently use Amazon Prime and Netflix. The rest can go up and down depending on if there’s a new release on their platform that I like
this guy is so good at rankings, i always agree like 90%.. id move hulu up cuz i watch a lot of anime and the apps ui is smooth af … but otherwise , perfect list 👌🏾
Brother I agree with you big time perfect my ranking would be number one on Netflix.🍿🍫🥤📺 🤳
Do u have tv cable
Nice.
Wow Amazing
Sean you should do a ranking of like top 5 cable channels for tv. Such as AMC cuz they had breaking bad and walking dead
I like Netflix more than other streaming apps because of its volume of content available and its variety of categories it complements my mood the genre I want to watch on that day.
I love Max. As a cinema lover and a fan of DC, Studio Ghibli, and HBO shows, they're my favorite.
Luv your vids and views
THanks so much!
Love the sweatshirt
I have Apple TV; so I use it for everything. I wish they would sell the directors cut of movies.
Tubi never fails me
Surprised to see no mention of Hotstar or ZEE5
If your into reality tv, Paramount+ is the cream of the crop. All epsiodes of Survivor, Big Brother, Amazing Race, Challenge, Ru Paul Drag Race, Challenge International, and many others.
1. Max
2. Paramount Plus
3. Amazon Prime Video
4. Netflix
5. Disney Plus
You have done the best to describe the "true" breakdown of Streaming
Should definitely check out the Ted show, it's great
18:51 anyone else thought of fired on Mars?
As a 30 year old man with no kids, Disney+ is in dead last for me, literally nothing on their id want to watch
Please do a review on Reacher
I’m a boomer so this is new to me. Is there a channel/service that features the wonderful movies from the 40’s- 60’s, especially the cowboy ones?
Honestly I'm not sure. MAX has Turner Classic Movies. And that collection has a good bit from that era. But I'm not aware of any of them specifically having a robust library of classic westerns.
Tubi is free and has a pretty broad selection of older films.
He absolute highlight of Tubi is the 80s horror. So many movies I wanted to watch as a kid, now I've seen.
This, tubi is genuinely one of my used platforms because of thus
I just noticed that you don’t have reviews for gen v and the boys season 3. I was wondering if you had the chance to watch those yet in my opinion season 3 was the best season and I think gen v is really great.
My Streaming Service Rankings 2024:
1. Disney+
2. Amazon Prime Video
3. Max
4. Netflix
5. Hulu
6. Paramount+
7. Peacock TV
8. Apple TV+
Have you seen midnight mass?
You should watch the Bear. I would love to see you review it
Sean will you rank the Nickelodeon movies?
My personal ranking:
1) Netflix
2) Hulu
I definitely use these two the most
3) Max
4) Apple TV+
These two have a lot of high quality stuff
5) Prime
6) Disney+
I know a lot of people love these two, but I feel like I barely use them
7) Peacock
8) Paramount+
These two have sports, but I feel like I only use them for specific shows (sitcoms and Survivor)
What does Hulu have? (I’m Canadian Hulu isn’t a thing here).
Hulu mostly has stuff from Fox, including FX, FXX, FXM channel stuff, 20th Century Fox movies. It’s basically what’s in the Star tab on Disney+ in most other countries. Hulu is now available in the Disney+ app, but it’s still an extra cost thing for now. I think it will be totally integrated within a few years.
Sean: Stops
Also Sean: Ranks
As someone in England, I really wish Max was more world-wide 😢
Edit: even with your comments
what about hulu live tv?
I love Disney and Hulu together
apple tv+ being last absolutely baffles me. just in 2023, i watched 9 shows: schmigadoon! s2, hello tomorrow!, foundation s2, the morning show s3, shrinking, for all mankind s4, monarch: legacy of monsters, lessons in chemistry, and ted lasso
i find myself watching something on there very often. i largely watch streamers for originals, so lack of library doesn't matter a whole lot.
Understandable for your purposes. Keep in mind that he had archive as a factor, however, and obviously they do fall short there.
@@crazydud3380 yeah, but he even said he was only tuning in every few months. that alone surprises me
I don't understand. Their shows have a far better quality than anything else. HBO for example is good, sometimes great but also overrated. What are they doing now? I only see average things, nothing special. Let's not mention the garbage that is 99% of Netflix, Amazon and others. "Archive" and "brand"... I don't think any of that matters. What you call "archive" is absolute garbage, "brand" doesn't matter if you only use it for marketing and there is nothing of value to it. What else would I expect from a Marvel, Disney fan. Brainless.
@@crazydud3380archive = 99% garbage
Criterion is my fave
With “Max” so much of the HBO shows I wanted to like Insecure and Six Feet Under are on Netflix. Their archive is on either Netflix or Prime. Plus their interface isn’t as good as it use to be. Seemed promising and almost enough to take down Netflix. But seems like Netflix is still King or Queen
Peacock, max and prime are my top 3.
“I love DC, based on the sweater I’m wearing”
