@@BigDome1 I don't have a smartphone though. In all seriousness, in the very near future when society goes 'paperless', the internet will go from servant to master. You will need a smartphone to participate in society, and everything you do, say, purchase, even think will be on record, and your digital food stamps will be administered as a result of your social credit score. Humanity is on the brink of a permanent and merciless enslavement, and everyone will be faced with a very difficult choice.

@@GunnerRDS I completely agree about the prison we're putting ourselves in, we're already well on our way imo. There's a reason China invests so much in smartphone technology and not in computers. They don't care about computers, they want people trackable and controllable 24/7. It's unfathomable to normal people that others would want this much control over them so they assume it must not be the case. It must be because of Communism or Nazism, soem abstract concept rather than just something that some humans like doing to others. We are heading into a totalitarian nightmare straight out of an Orwell novel and people just don't care. My sense of right and wrong and optimism makes me believe that goodness will prevail and we will come out on top somehow but sometimes in the cold light of day the awful "what if we don't?" seems a lot more likely and I feel a bit sick.
For now I love my Samsung Galaxy S10 though! 😊
