I agree with Tim S. I watched this video and others by them before I did my gy6 swap about four months ago to make a list of parts needed to do it. And how to do the swap. These guys are spot on. I called them or emailed them a handful times during my swap and they always helped me.
Just want to inform you that the link to your axle gasket brings you to your rear axle nut page. 2 links are the same. Thanks for all this info guys. Keep up the good work. Looking forward to ordering parts from y'all in the future. 👍
we have many different videos under the gy6 section. showing you how to mount the carb, wire the ruck with the atr harness, run the fuel pump lines and vacuum lines for the carb. we also have a video on the 49cc page that shows you how to put on your engine mount and it is the same theory for the gy6, so you will shave the same parts off and mount it the same. thank you
iimkushed please watch this th-cam.com/video/iIgwCrNw5dY/w-d-xo.html you will need to attach the motor to the ruckus so you need a mount the motor is longer than stock as well. As far as lowering it no that has to do with front forks usually
We go over this in the video, we tell you the spline pattern is different and the offset is wrong if you try to run the stock wheel so it wont work in multiple ways
you can make your own weld on mount but you wont be able to use a fatty tire you would be limited to a stock gy6 rear skinny wheel and you have to be careful how far you bring the motor in due to the carb may hit the frame and the valve cover could end up over the gas cap. this is why people use the fatty mounts and that like the fat tire look. thank you
The Ruck Shop thats great, i want to buy a fully completed gy6 swap with all the parts, i want to put it on my honda zoomerX which i believe should be the same a rukus
joe leeman you would need to use a cheetah and STRAPS to stretch the tire on the wheel. We do not work on scooters nor own a tire machine so we would not be able to do it . They are all bolt on parts no welding. And under the items there should be a rear hub
you dont have to change the triple tree its not necessary. we do suggest going with disc brakes up front for the future which includes forks. your going faster so you will want more stopping power
Erik Wattson it takes some fabrication skills. I haven’t seen any bolt on mounts for a met gy6 and the offset of a fatty would take some engineering to work around. Hit up the forums online. There are some gy6 Mets out there.
I just got back from laos and i bought a honda zoomerX, can someone tell me if it is the exact same thing as a rukus? I want to buy a gy6 fully complete swap and ship it there to do the project there, can someone tell me the cost? And how much the parts weigh?
Why do you think all the true builders are selling their rucks? And i mean true builders.Sorry motonosity doesn't count. Nice vlog. Can you guys actually do a custom scoot? Cause all i see is the same rucks with different paint.Lol chuckus
when you say true builders who do you refer to? we dont do any builds due to we have our own rucks and spend all of our time making sure orders are fulfilled and shipped and thats a lot of packages im talking about three digits haha along with focusing our time towards tech support and making these how to videos for the ruckus community. when you see the "true builders" selling the builds its possibly because they want to do another and that is how they go about with their projects. once its done then its time for a new one. that would be my guess
The TRS definitely is a five-star and support their customers the team has supported me tremendously customer for life
Tim S we got a video just for you next just wait
Doing a swap now bought almost everything from you guys . Yall ship super fast and never had an issue .great job

Great video I enjoy watching and will support this channel to the fullest!

Can I install a gy6 on honda dio .. or any scooter ?
Do you guys just have a kit on the website that comes with everything you need instead of piecing everything together?
Hey so do you have a video actually swapping these parts into to a stock ruckus. This is what I'll be doing for mine
we have many different videos under the gy6 section. showing you how to mount the carb, wire the ruck with the atr harness, run the fuel pump lines and vacuum lines for the carb. we also have a video on the 49cc page that shows you how to put on your engine mount and it is the same theory for the gy6, so you will shave the same parts off and mount it the same. thank you
Hi TRS, are those parts can be shipped worldwide?
so give or take going with the most pre-assembled kit. ball park price would be what 1500?
DEPENDS ON WHEELS AND EXHAUST you can go to the video description and all the parts are there.
do you all have a brick storefront or just online?!
Any options for a 2016 fuel injected model?
Links in description are not working
Do you guys build and sell these? I want to buy one and have it shipped to me.
Can you do a gy6 swap on any other scooters like a 150 tao tao
does the 11 pole come with everything needed for the swap or is everything sold separately
the 11 pole is just the motor you will have to order the rest of the parts to make the swap happen
I need help I have a 100cc Big Bore Kit for ice bear Mad Dog 50cc what carb can I run with that and I all the Big Bore Kit crankshaft
Which model GY6 engine do you use? I have a 1P57 QMJ, will that work in a swap?
honda motors Ruckus what price if I buy ..?
herdi anto all prices are under the description of this video
You don't have to change the cdi, rectifier etc....?
cdi, rectifier all comes with the harnesses
I wish I was rich and could afford these parts because I could make some dope videos with the parts
how much is a project like this?
Kyle Hoffman probably at least 2k ish
is that including the ruckus or no?
definitely without ruckus, I'm about to drop about 2k ish after i purchased mine
Wtf? I see gy6 scooters all the time for cheap even a new engine online is cheap
j doyle buy a 150c donor scooter for 300. Put everything on ruckus...enjoy!!!
Damm enter of buying a sport bike lol great video TRS
If you do a GY6 swap on a ruckus, if you stretch it too, do you NEED to lower it ?
iimkushed please watch this th-cam.com/video/iIgwCrNw5dY/w-d-xo.html you will need to attach the motor to the ruckus so you need a mount the motor is longer than stock as well. As far as lowering it no that has to do with front forks usually
Why do you need new wheels? Could you just retain the stock wheels?
We go over this in the video, we tell you the spline pattern is different and the offset is wrong if you try to run the stock wheel so it wont work in multiple ways
any way to do it so it looks like less of a stretched abomination?
you can make your own weld on mount but you wont be able to use a fatty tire you would be limited to a stock gy6 rear skinny wheel and you have to be careful how far you bring the motor in due to the carb may hit the frame and the valve cover could end up over the gas cap. this is why people use the fatty mounts and that like the fat tire look. thank you
I’m so buying this 👍
Can i use the stock honda ruckus nps50 wiring harness to do the gy6 swap?
no you cannot
Do you guys ship internationally??
yes we do, email us at info@theruckshop.com
The Ruck Shop thats great, i want to buy a fully completed gy6 swap with all the parts, i want to put it on my honda zoomerX which i believe should be the same a rukus
Envíos para honduras .?
Will you be getting the 171cc race engine back in stock?
yes check our website by thursday
The tire says you need "staps" what is that? Also if a customer purchases a rim and tire from you guys you cant throw in a proper mounting job?
ALso the link to rear hub shows an entire page of items which does not include a rear hub lol.
Does the frame have to be cut for this to work properly or is this all literally bolted on mods? Any welding involved?
joe leeman you would need to use a cheetah and STRAPS to stretch the tire on the wheel. We do not work on scooters nor own a tire machine so we would not be able to do it . They are all bolt on parts no welding. And under the items there should be a rear hub
joe leeman we will fix the link
thanks
I love my 1 off custom bolt together ruck. Get good
do you change the front forks or triple tree
you dont have to change the triple tree its not necessary. we do suggest going with disc brakes up front for the future which includes forks. your going faster so you will want more stopping power
Does the gy6 motor fit in a metro ?
Erik Wattson it can.
It can.
@@jimmy_thelego_kid301 is there any modifications that will be needed for the fitment of it ? The information is very appreciated
Erik Wattson it takes some fabrication skills. I haven’t seen any bolt on mounts for a met gy6 and the offset of a fatty would take some engineering to work around. Hit up the forums online. There are some gy6 Mets out there.

the zoomer x is not the same as the ruckus sorry. the older zoomer is the same with few minor differences but the zoomer x is different.
The Ruck Shop thats sucks, i looked online and the frame looks very similar. I guess i would have to do a gy6 in the US and try to ship it to laos
Oh..
49cc
Brick and mortar
The Ruck Shop
