TGV is great. For those of is who don't want to or can't spend thousands on a watch but still love watches, he always delivers us quality options. The way he talks about watches makes me excited about watches I'd never think about looking at.
Collection 3 gets my vote! I am surprised that an Orient did not make any of the collections, either one of their dive or dress models would surely have fit the bill.
Great options! Thoroughly enjoyed the distinctiveness of all 3 collections My three piece collection choices: 1. Seiko skx 013 (got one just a few months back) 2. Casio F91w 3. Marlin Reissue Todd Snyder (green and gold) - for some flair and variety...missed getting this one!
I bough a hamilton khaki king after watching TGVs review of it. I have fallen in love with it and have even bought a few more of the brand. Can't go wrong with one of those if you are looking for an iconic watch that gets looks and compliments at sub $500. Plus they are strap queens, so you can change them often to accommodate what you are wearing
My choices will be Everyday: Seagull 1963 Dress: Seiko SNKL23 Beater: Casio F-91W (or the metal version I never remember reference numbers) Great intro by the way
Easily my favorite watch channel. Love Hugo the Tyrannosaur and his erm, mate's significant other, the triceratops. My ~$500 three piece: Daily: Seiko Turtle STO $300 Dress: Orient Bambino v2 $170-200 Beater: Casio A168 ~$30
The amphibia is a pain as a beater bcause of the acrylic crystal, it scratches if you look at it too hard and yea you can easily polish it but even Seiko's hardlex is miles better!
Everyday: Deep Blue Nato Diver $250. I'm a diver and own a deep blue watch. Good bezel, accurate time, great lume, tough as nails Dress: timex metropolitan $52. 6.5mm thin, smallish 40 mm dial. My least used watch. Other: Casio G-shock Rangeman $190. I also love to hike, camp, mountainbike and surf. 200m WR, compass, altimeter, barometer, triple sensor and atomic timekeeping, solar powered, mud resistant.
Orient Bambino San Martin Flieger Type B(SW200) Poljot Stella (3017) All used from Ebay & already a watch that's been to space & another with a movement on par with ETA2824-2
TGV's wife: Why do you need me to hold these brownies? I thought you made videos about watches... TGV: This will all make sense in the edit, I promise!
I’d put a Glycine Combat Sub into the mix. Just bought one on your recommendation after 12 months experimenting with homage watches. I’m really pleased with it. Homages, whilst offering great value, have left me with a somewhat empty feeling. Having something Swiss with heritage on my wrist has changed my view. I love that you don’t push high end and enthuse about the fact that you can spend budget money and still have something genuinely great on your wrist. Love the channel!
Hi TGV, hope you are well. My $500 list: Dress: Seiko SNKL23 / SNKL41 (depends on the color) / $150-100 Bitter: Casio GA-2100 - $150 Everyday: Zeppelin 100 years - $200 - $250
Fine idea, fine realisation. I'm intrigued, so I had to make my own set of lists... ... e.g. a set of watches with a WHITE dial: * Citizen AS2050-10A (Everyday watch, because you don't need to dive, but to have sapphire crystal, eco-drive, radio adjusted time) * Tissot Classic Dream T033.410.16.013.01 (Dress watch with roman numerals and skeletonized hands) * Casio Edifice EFV-110D-7AVUEF (Beater because inexpansive, has great readibility, still stilish) ... or be back in BLACK with these bunch of bad ass watches: * Traser H3 P67 Officer Pro Gun Metal Black Nato (100m, sapphire, luminova plus tritium hands, date -> every day watch) * Orient Bambino FER27001B0 ("blacked-out dresser" due to PVD (stainless steel) case, meanwhile to be had for a discount price) * Casio MWC-100H-1AVEF (cheapest beater watch by far in my collection, still in analogue style, thus increased versatility, with a little Royal Oak flair) ... and when you're feeling (for) BLUE, then it has to be this collection: * Dugena Dakota 4460885 (something different here: a racing watch for everyday use with tachymeter and countdown bezel, dual blue panda layout) * Swatch Irony Sistem51 Sistem Lake YIS420 * Citizen BN0151-17L Eco-Drive Promaster Diver (finally a true diver for a beater, not inexpansive, but tough as nails) Enjoy!
Just starting a collection, don’t know a lot about watches yet but this is what I have so far. Loving the videos btw. Everyday: Fossil Q Explorist Gen 3 Smartwatch Dress: Rotary Chronograph Kit watch (black and red) with leather or nato strap Beater: Sekonda Chrono-Alarm (Grey/orange)
Really great video! I love your choices. My own set of watches is similar to your first classic collection. I own the Seiko SKX007 with the black dial/lunette (around 215€), the Casio G-Shock GW-M5610 (like the 50$ model version but with solar power and multiband radio) (~100€) , and an Orient Mako II (~200€) as a bit smaller more dressy wach than the Seiko SKX. And a military style Seiko 5 SNZG13K1.
This was probably my favorite openning yet! I am a college graduate student so I relate to Jake when it comes to spending money on watches. I tried to stay with Amazon as the site to purchase as college students get a discounted rate for Amazon Prime. Personally, my 3 watch collection for Jake would be.. Daily = Orient Kamasu. There are various colors and usually costs around $200-$250 on Amazon. Dress = Seiko Tank SUP880. Usually listed on Amazon for $110, however I was able to purchase mine for $32 when there was a summer time daily deal. Keep on the lookout for the daily deals on watches! Beater = Casio G Shock (DW5600E-1V). Great beater watch for the money! ~$40-$50 on Amazon. Alternate Beater = Casio Royale. Roughly $22 for a cool vintage looking Casio that has a Bond feel to it. 6:38 - I've owned the Seiko Tank since June 2019 and I love it! I recently swapped the OEM black strap for a Strapsco brown alligator strap with a gold deployment strap. The 23mm strap size for the watch may be discouraging but the 22mm brown strap that I put on the watch ended up looking fantastic.
Beater: Smiths Everest 36mm white dial (285) Everyday: Timex Q Pepsi (150) Dress: SEIKO SNKK52 (90) Little bit over but you get a hell of a lot of value here. Might do a video series on these 😂😂😂
@@acaferacer6649 I'm just speaking for myself, as I managed to scratch the acrylic on my Q the first time I wore it to the office. I need to find my tube of Pollywatch!
I wear a gen 1 Dan Henry 1970 as my everyday watch, and it's great. 44mm on an 8 inch wrist works well, it's legible, not too busy, and unique, stands up to water, has a work horse movement that any decent watch/clock maker/repairer can keep in good nick, and the offset crowns are quite pleasantly out of the way, which a 3 o'clock crown can be a hassle for. In particular, now that the Seiko's NH35 (just an unbranded 4R35) has hacking and manual wind, it hits all those functional points for a watch owner, and means that you can have the classic style from a microbrand without sacrificing essential functionality.
I don't think I could narrow down a modern list for $500, so I'll recommend some favourites from my collection: Orient Bambino - Always. Any collector should have one in their collection. Timex - Timex is one of the most important and prolific brands. You can get a Weekender for $25, or pay $500 and get an American Made watch with a reliable quartz movement. Excellent value across the board. Seiko - A mixed bag. Any of their Cocktail Time pieces are worth their weight in gold. The 4R36s have been hit or miss, but when in spec, they're bullet proof. Lastly...Orient Star. If you can get one of these pieces, do it. Excellent craftsmanship, wonderful design cues....an all around great watch.
Great advice. I have to say I always like watches (ever since I had the classic Mickey Mouse effort as a kid) but this channel really helped educate me and expand my taste. Enthusiasm is contagious. Love it. Thanks, TGV.
Everyday: Orient Ray 2/ Mako equivalent-$150 Dress: Seiko 5 approximately $75 + $20 strap(optonal) Beater: G-shock- those victorinoxes look pretty cool. My beater was a Luminox until it broke in a high speed car accident. I use the Ray as a dual purpose beater now.
This inspired me to pull the trigger on non-fashion watches. I don’t use a dress watch regularly so went for the Orient Mako XL for a diver, the Seiko Recraft SSC667 for a Chrono, and a Citizen Aviary AW1361-10h for a field watch. I finished by picking up some NATOs from WCWC. Thanks for the inspiration!
All from my personal collection Beater: G-shock GW-7900 $100 Every day: Timex Expedition scout $40-80 Dress: Dan Henry 1962 $260 (versatile) Alternatively an SNK803 for the every day watch. Should fall under budget either way. I think the classic collection is my personal favorite.
I’m considering buying a stowa Flieger classic? I’m just wondering if there are any other comparable or better options. I’m 14 and have saved my money from a summer and winter break job. Your channel has really started my passion for watches. Thank you
As you are looking for a classic flieger there is another option The brand is named Lako. It is a german brand and they are one of the brands which produced the true flieger-watches for the war. They have a lot of different watches. For few hundred (idk exactly but i think arround 300-500) you are getting a pretty good looking flieger - but it is not perfect (if you are looking for something exactly as used in war) as they have an automatic movement (not true handwind) and laco printed of the dial. For something arround 1000 you are getting true true flieger watches we are talking about no brand name on the dial - handwinding - huge crown - solid caseback with ingraving. true flieger watches i love them and for around 1000 you can buy beautifull modern interpretations of the classic flieger watches with some extras small seconds - bezels just take a look at it 👍 I hope that was helpfull :-) Kind regards PS Sorry for the missing punctuation marks and mistakes but i am on my phone and injured
I am also a huge fan of the Stowa Flieger Classic but can't afford one right now so getting a blue Laco Augsburg 39 but they also have it in 42. As Miyamoto said, Laco is also a great brand for pilot watches. I also love the Laco Frankfurt GMT.
Go with the Stowa Flieger no date. German make with Swiss movement. And one of the original Flieger brands. As a combat pilot myself, it makes me so happy to wear a watch with such military flyer pedigree. As TGV would say, it’s iconic. You can get cheaper fliegers (I think Seiko 5 has one) but you’ll not regret having one of the originals for under $1000, and made in Germany. Basically a micro brand with a strong historical background. I’ll never get rid of mine.
If cost is an issue then the questioner needs to know that mechanical watches come with a need for servicing. Take a look at how much that costs in relation to the purchase price of lower end mechanical pieces. I would just go quartz. Forget about an automatic Seiko. Citizen Ecodrive have affordable dive watches without the servicing cost. For a dress watch I would go for Rotary Cambridge tank watch. It is stainless steel but I prefer that to gold coloured cases. A Casio is sound for an inexpensive reliable beater. Maybe a 5610 G shock if you want solar and radio controlled. However, I find the 218H Casio which is not a G Shock gives me all I need including a louder alarm and bigger numeral display. It costs very little.
These are the three that I bought with the same budget: Seiko SSB031 meca-quartz chronograph, Orient Ray 2 for the dive style, and the Bulova Aerojet automatic for a dress watch. This channel was a great resource for me as I started the hobby/addiction a couple years ago. 😉 Thanks TGV! Current wrist check is a Zelos Horizons steel meteorite. Onwards & upwards...
Just bought an F91-W for work because of the love you show for it! I love the size and utilitarian nature! Thank you for the solid info, and wonderful entertainment TGV!
A bit of shopping around needed to get this lot down to $500, but I did manage it: Everyday: Seiko SKX007 Dress: Vintage Girard Perregaux Gyromatic (adore this unfashionable watch! :-) ) Beater: Casio G-Shock G-Steel GST-B100 Spending decent cash on the beater is reasonable if the beater can take the beating.
My 3 watch combo: Everyday: Seiko skx007 classic and about 200-250 Dress: Orient Bambino stylish and around 150 Beater: Gshock 2100a beat the hell out of it and it’ll still work for low price of 105 ( with tax)
@@dionchilds8440 That's used, new ones are over 300. TGV is also using prices for new watches. You can't expect a person new to watches to be able to reliably pick a good used watch.

Great lists and great suggestions! One of my MANY beater watches that I own, Vostok sits right on top. You can literally beat on these all day long, they're easily modified AND you're only out $50 or so should it fail. The only problem is, you can never stop at owning just one Vostok.
LOL Genius idea. OMG, that would be hilarious, Michael! So wonderful to hear from you, thank you. I hope all is well. Un grande abbraccio fratello! Best regards, TGV
Hi TGV (Train à Grande Vitesse), here's my choice (and indeed my collection with the prices I paid for a new one): - Everyday: CITIZEN Promaster NY0040-009E: 165,- (that's €, which is similar to $....it's just another currency) - Dress: JUNKERS Bauhaus 6050-2: 319,-€ - Beater: CASIO F-91W: 13,98 € Everytime I change the strap on my Promaster from Rubber to Leather to Nato and back again, I just love this watch. Highly underrated....
I’ll make it interesting and only include 3 quartz pieces... Dress: citizen au1040-08e $100 Sporty: Seiko SNA411. $250 Beater: G-shock....whichever. Most are around 100 and all are badass. 50 to spare.
@Blazin609 ani-digi is where it’s at! Both of my G shocks are ani-digi and it honestly adds another dimension. Hell, the Breitling Aerospace is one of the watches I want. On another note, I was able to snag the G Shock GA2100 “casioak” in red (which worked for me because that was the color I wanted) before they were sold out for 100 bucks....very nice!
I don't how I came across this channel but I really enjoy it! This topic is exactly the kind of thing that I think about, a modest high quality watch collection.
@@bobbybodybagz Is there certain criteria that would make it so? It seems to me "diver style" is a label usually attached to watches with rotating bezels and other dive watch styling cues but lacking in water resistance. I'm sure that the Duro isn't the preferred option for serious divers but it checks all the boxes including 200m wr. Regardless, I only wanted to point out that this is a very capable piece and I certainly don't think there was any intent to disparage it on TGV's part.
No worries I May be wrong but I think for a divers watch screw down crown and 200m water resistance I think that’s why the seiko 5s are referred to as-well as “dive style”I could be wrong however. And In no means insulting the duro I love it.
Im on my second Casio Duro. I use them when surfing and work. Great watch, love it. Ive had it in 50 degree water and overhead waves. Reliable, tough, great looking, and keeps time better than my automatic.
Excellent video TGV. I know you like the expensive brands as we all do but I love the fact that you can appreciate watches for the average man or woman.
M y dog died recently. was gonna take a year off before getting a new one. Oh well here we are a month later and rescued a new fila. The purpose for this comment is I hope you don't mind that I named him Hugo Mountbatten II. Love your vids.
I needed a water resistant beater and was going on a float trip the next day, so I bought that Casio Marlin dive watch. I really liked it, was impressed with how nice it was for $45. The next day at a campground at the river, I took it off to apply sunblock and I dropped it on a rock. Well, that was enough to break the crystal and I could no longer use it. After that experience, my new water resistant beater is the g shock DW5600E. I think this one is tough enough to handle a clumsy drop 😝
One of my favorite videos yet. As someone who’s just getting started collecting watches I’m glad you offered multiple 3 piece options. Fun video. Great content. Following you from Windsor, Canada!!

The BEST intro yet! 🤣
Collection 3 gets my vote! I am surprised that an Orient did not make any of the collections, either one of their dive or dress models would surely have fit the bill.
Great options! Thoroughly enjoyed the distinctiveness of all 3 collections
My three piece collection choices:
1. Seiko skx 013 (got one just a few months back)
2. Casio F91w
3. Marlin Reissue Todd Snyder (green and gold) - for some flair and variety...missed getting this one!
Tristano I've got far too many questions about that intro my man
Don't ask, don't tell!
My choices will be
Everyday: Seagull 1963
Dress: Seiko SNKL23
Beater: Casio F-91W (or the metal version I never remember reference numbers)
Great intro by the way
Easily my favorite watch channel. Love Hugo the Tyrannosaur and his erm, mate's significant other, the triceratops. My ~$500 three piece:
Daily: Seiko Turtle STO $300
Dress: Orient Bambino v2 $170-200
Beater: Casio A168 ~$30
Daily: Swatch sistem51 Irony
Dress: Casio Sapphire LTP-E148L-7AEF
Beater: Vostok Amphibia Scuba Dude
Off-topic: Please review any Octo Finissimo! 🙏🏻 the chronograph GMT is absolutely amazing
how much is the casio?
The amphibia is a pain as a beater bcause of the acrylic crystal, it scratches if you look at it too hard and yea you can easily polish it but even Seiko's hardlex is miles better!
The Amphibia looks the best when it's scratched up, IMHO. ;)
@@kristenburnout1 That might very well be, but it becomes unusable pretty quick as a beater on my arm...
Everyday: Deep Blue Nato Diver $250. I'm a diver and own a deep blue watch. Good bezel, accurate time, great lume, tough as nails
Dress: timex metropolitan $52. 6.5mm thin, smallish 40 mm dial. My least used watch.
Other: Casio G-shock Rangeman $190. I also love to hike, camp, mountainbike and surf. 200m WR, compass, altimeter, barometer, triple sensor and atomic timekeeping, solar powered, mud resistant.
I’m literally dying of laugh! The intro is awesome!
Orient Bambino
San Martin Flieger Type B(SW200)
Poljot Stella (3017)
All used from Ebay & already a watch that's been to space & another with a movement on par with ETA2824-2
TGV's wife: Why do you need me to hold these brownies? I thought you made videos about watches...
TGV: This will all make sense in the edit, I promise!
Wife: And why the green monster glove?
Narrator: However, it did not make sense.
I think I was never this early....what an experience. I will now just say "great video" even without seeing it because they are always awesome
Thank you so much Adrian :D
Best regards,
TGV
You’re one of the few English native speakers who actually speak my language ( italian) beautifully! Congrats also for that
I think his origin/family is actually italian.
Hi TGV, hope you are well.
My $500 list:
Dress: Seiko SNKL23 / SNKL41 (depends on the color) / $150-100
Bitter: Casio GA-2100 - $150
Everyday: Zeppelin 100 years - $200 - $250
Fine idea, fine realisation. I'm intrigued, so I had to make my own set of lists...
... e.g. a set of watches with a WHITE dial:
* Citizen AS2050-10A (Everyday watch, because you don't need to dive, but to have sapphire crystal, eco-drive, radio adjusted time)
* Tissot Classic Dream T033.410.16.013.01 (Dress watch with roman numerals and skeletonized hands)
* Casio Edifice EFV-110D-7AVUEF (Beater because inexpansive, has great readibility, still stilish)
... or be back in BLACK with these bunch of bad ass watches:
* Traser H3 P67 Officer Pro Gun Metal Black Nato (100m, sapphire, luminova plus tritium hands, date -> every day watch)
* Orient Bambino FER27001B0 ("blacked-out dresser" due to PVD (stainless steel) case, meanwhile to be had for a discount price)
* Casio MWC-100H-1AVEF (cheapest beater watch by far in my collection, still in analogue style, thus increased versatility, with a little Royal Oak flair)
... and when you're feeling (for) BLUE, then it has to be this collection:
* Dugena Dakota 4460885 (something different here: a racing watch for everyday use with tachymeter and countdown bezel, dual blue panda layout)
* Swatch Irony Sistem51 Sistem Lake YIS420
* Citizen BN0151-17L Eco-Drive Promaster Diver (finally a true diver for a beater, not inexpansive, but tough as nails)
Enjoy!
Hahaha LOL
Your intros with Hugo are pure entertainment!
Well done, Sir! 😂😂
Yes yes! The return of Hugo!!!. Keep up the good work TGV!!!
Dress: orient Bambino (more than a classic)
War: Casio G-Shock ( the best ever)
Every day: Seiko 5 or orient kamasu
Kamasu in green is sexy af :) going for it as my 3rd piece :)
Just starting a collection, don’t know a lot about watches yet but this is what I have so far. Loving the videos btw.
Everyday: Fossil Q Explorist Gen 3 Smartwatch
Dress: Rotary Chronograph Kit watch (black and red) with leather or nato strap
Beater: Sekonda Chrono-Alarm (Grey/orange)
Beater: Smiths Everest 36mm white dial (285)
Everyday: Timex Q Pepsi (150)
Dress: SEIKO SNKK52 (90)
Little bit over but you get a hell of a lot of value here. Might do a video series on these 😂😂😂
Q Timex isn't really a daily watch as the acrylic gets scratched too easily. I'd have that as a dress watch though.🤣
@@Mr_Memer.876 I see your point but I would disagree, people wear hesalite speedies daily and always have done.
My choice:
Everyday: Seiko SKX009
Dress: Orient Bambino
Beater: Casio AE-1200WH
Currently £493 for all three on Amazon
I don't think I could narrow down a modern list for $500, so I'll recommend some favourites from my collection:
Orient Bambino - Always.
“Hamilton made watches for every single conflict”
Ah yes. I remember the 300 Spartans would not have won without their Hamilton timepieces
"For tonight, at about 6:30 or so, we dine in hell!"
Didn't all the Spartans die....
@@Sharkosia1983 not all of 300 died.
Great advice. I have to say I always like watches (ever since I had the classic Mickey Mouse effort as a kid) but this channel really helped educate me and expand my taste. Enthusiasm is contagious. Love it. Thanks, TGV.
Mannn I love this music in background and conversations with Hugo, such a positive vibe :)) I want that Seiko flight master so bad.. Cheers T!
Everyday: Orient Ray 2/ Mako equivalent-$150
Dress: Seiko 5 approximately $75 + $20 strap(optonal)
Beater: G-shock- those victorinoxes look pretty cool. My beater was a Luminox until it broke in a high speed car accident. I use the Ray as a dual purpose beater now.
I remember feeling the same way back in 1980 when my "friend" gave me a sample of Copenhagen smokeless tobacco.
Did ya marry your sister in a stuper?
This inspired me to pull the trigger on non-fashion watches. I don’t use a dress watch regularly so went for the Orient Mako XL for a diver, the Seiko Recraft SSC667 for a Chrono, and a Citizen Aviary AW1361-10h for a field watch. I finished by picking up some NATOs from WCWC. Thanks for the inspiration!
Fantastic video. Would be fun to create $1k and $1.5k budgets later in the year. Great video.
$500 solid 3 piece collection:
Everyday: Citizen ny0098-84e Limited Edition: $230
Dress: Vintage Seiko King quartz: $130-$230
Beater: Casio DW-290: $32
My pick
Dress watch: seiko presage
Beater: seiko5
Everyday: Invicta pro diver
All from my personal collection
Beater: G-shock GW-7900 $100
Every day: Timex Expedition scout $40-80
Dress: Dan Henry 1962 $260 (versatile)
Alternatively an SNK803 for the every day watch. Should fall under budget either way. I think the classic collection is my personal favorite.
I’m considering buying a stowa Flieger classic? I’m just wondering if there are any other comparable or better options. I’m 14 and have saved my money from a summer and winter break job. Your channel has really started my passion for watches.
Thank you
As you are looking for a classic flieger there is another option
The brand is named Lako.
For something arround 1000 you are getting true true flieger watches
we are talking about no brand name on the dial - handwinding - huge crown - solid caseback with ingraving.
true flieger watches i love them
and for around 1000 you can buy beautifull modern interpretations of the classic flieger watches with some extras
small seconds - bezels
just take a look at it 👍
I hope that was helpfull :-)
Kind regards
PS
Sorry for the missing punctuation marks and mistakes but i am on my phone and injured
Check out Aristo
I am also a huge fan of the Stowa Flieger Classic but can't afford one right now so getting a blue Laco Augsburg 39 but they also have it in 42. As Miyamoto said, Laco is also a great brand for pilot watches. I also love the Laco Frankfurt GMT.
Thank you this was very helpful!
For small wrists like mine:
Every day: Seiko SKX013 38mm
Dress Watch: Timex Marlin 34mm
Beater: Casio F91W
Yes, where I live that is a pretty eye-watering number indeed.
This intro reminded me of my “trips” to Amsterdam.
My suggestions
everyday: Lorier Neptune or Falcon $400
dress: Seiko5 SNK ~$85 (many to choose from like SNKA07 or SNK603)
beater: casio F91 $10
You've outdone yourself with this intro! Ha
Just bought an F91-W for work because of the love you show for it! I love the size and utilitarian nature! Thank you for the solid info, and wonderful entertainment TGV!
skx , bambino, solar g-shock !
A bit of shopping around needed to get this lot down to $500, but I did manage it:
Everyday: Seiko SKX007
Dress: Vintage Girard Perregaux Gyromatic (adore this unfashionable watch! :-) )
Beater: Casio G-Shock G-Steel GST-B100
Spending decent cash on the beater is reasonable if the beater can take the beating.
My 3 watch combo:
Everyday:
Seiko skx007 classic and about 200-250
Dress: Orient Bambino stylish and around 150
Beater: Gshock 2100a beat the hell out of it and it’ll still work for low price of 105 ( with tax)
Seiko SKX's are much more expensive now, mate.
You can find a used one one in good condition on eBay right now for 175
@@dionchilds8440 That's used, new ones are over 300. TGV is also using prices for new watches. You can't expect a person new to watches to be able to reliably pick a good used watch.
OK my choice of 3 that I actually own:
Everyday: Orient kamasu green(cool desk diver) - ~200£
Dress: Timex marlin automatic black - 200£
Beater: casiOak Ga-2100 Black and white - 90£
Prices may vary as usual
Really like the victorinox 👌🏻

Great lists and great suggestions! One of my MANY beater watches that I own, Vostok sits right on top. You can literally beat on these all day long, they're easily modified AND you're only out $50 or so should it fail. The only problem is, you can never stop at owning just one Vostok.

Hi TGV (Train à Grande Vitesse), here's my choice (and indeed my collection with the prices I paid for a new one):
- Everyday: CITIZEN Promaster NY0040-009E: 165,- (that's €, which is similar to $....it's just another currency)
- Dress: JUNKERS Bauhaus 6050-2: 319,-€
- Beater: CASIO F-91W: 13,98 €
Everytime I change the strap on my Promaster from Rubber to Leather to Nato and back again, I just love this watch. Highly underrated....
I’ll make it interesting and only include 3 quartz pieces...
Dress: citizen au1040-08e $100
Sporty: Seiko SNA411. $250
Beater: G-shock....whichever. Most are around 100 and all are badass.
50 to spare.
Who spends 250 on a quartz??
Edit: oh it's a high frequency quartz good choice
L.K I’ve spent that on quartz pieces. I have a Titanium Citizen AT4010-50E and it was about 250. There are some really solid quartz pieces out there!
Calling the Duro “dive style” seems like a little bit of a slight, let’s give it it’s full due!
I don’t think it was a slight, i believe it’s a diver style not a actual diver.
Bobby BodyBagZ I think that’s true too and it does have all of those features
No worries I May be wrong but I think for a divers watch screw down crown and 200m water resistance I think that’s why the seiko 5s are referred to as-well as “dive style”I could be wrong however. And In no means insulting the duro I love it.
Seiko SNKL41 as a sports watch (84 USD), Orient Bambino as a dresser (140 USD) and a pre owned SRP Turtle. Done. 💪🙏
Hogwash! 😂, Love Hugo.
What a fun list to put together! I would go with a
citizen nighthawk $250
Orient bambino $125
Gshock square auto update $100
Im on my second Casio Duro. I use them when surfing and work. Great watch, love it. Ive had it in 50 degree water and overhead waves. Reliable, tough, great looking, and keeps time better than my automatic.
Excellent video TGV. I know you like the expensive brands as we all do but I love the fact that you can appreciate watches for the average man or woman.

My bundle:
Daily: Seiko SKX013 and Orient Mako 2
Dress: Rado Coupole (little bit pricey but I've bought them used)
Beater: Hamilton Khaki Mechanical
You do realise it's $500 total, not up to $500 per watch?
1. Diver/Beater - Sub
2. Leather Strap Monster - Speedmaster
3. Dress Watch - Datejust
Dress - Seagull 1963 38mm
