I've had Parkinson's for over 26 years and when it came about that I couldn't type on a computer anymore I had to retire. I became bored and started studying the US Constitution. Sometimes when I see something stated wrongly about the US Constitution or a lack of understanding of the US Constitution I gently try to show them what the US Constitution actually says. Unfortunately because I can't type or can barely type on my iPhone I use dictation which is very tiring, takes a long time, and can be problematic.

Things have evolved since this video. The latest version of iOS, iPadOS, and macOS allows you to DFU Update, rather than do a DFU Restore. An updated video on this topic would be welcomed.
Might've been said already but if you're on a Mac, do not try this with the USB C to Lightning cable, it will not work. Use the USB A (big rectangle) to Lightning cable instead. I'm not sure why this is but I wasted an hour and a lot of frustration to find this out.

I’ve tried Apple cords and non Apple cords and Everytime the iPhone connects to a wire it says “ unlock iPhone to use accessories” but I can’t unlock it because the screen doesn’t work. My iPhone was a little hot and then it shut off and got burning hot it took about 30 mins to naturally cool and it hasn't turned on since my family tells me the board inside might just be fried and done for but Idk bc this has happened to my friend before but their Iphone turned right back on they have the same model as me (iPhone 13)

@@J.Tronix Congrats my dude! @Dave Boy From my limited knowledge, that technique when getting a new device is only for Lithium Polymer batteries, not the case for Lithium Ion batteries. With Li-Ion batteries it supposedly doesn’t matter, I still like to charge it to full before the first use and then use it like normal from there on out. (For the record i’ve been getting the newest iphone since the iphone SE 2020 and i’ve maintained really good battery health by the time the next one comes out).

no, no extternal software loads in DFU mode. It is bare bones uses for restoring firmware. It is the same as a BIOS on a computer. If it is a really advance malware it technically can load in the bootloader, but this is unheard of in iphones , much less MacOS viruses

I am getting error 9. Apple and some stores say its unfixable HOWEVER, I have seen TH-cam videos and read comments of people thinking their device was a goner from error 9 and being able to restore it. Do you all know anything about it? Some fixes were as simple as trying a different cable, some say they tried dozens and eventually one worked. Some worked from trying a different usb port, others it was the antivirus software. thoughts? have you had any success restoring this issue?

Guys, very IMPORTANT: Follow these steps: 1st: Hold both the side and the volume down button at the same time for 10 seconds exactly 2nd: release the side button and maintain holding the volume down button. Do this UNTIL you find in your mac that notification that appeared to them, and that little pop up screen, only then release the volume down button
While updating it appeared error 4042, then I pressed volume up, volume down and hold side button until it entered recovery mode, then I tried again and it seems to be updating correctly now

open itunes on your pc and make sure your iphone is linked to itunes and do it there

at the first use it's safe to charge to 100% but you have to use the 20-80 rule after if you want a healthy battery

Anytime I've plugged my phone into my pc (running itunes) it always shows up and the phone asks if I trust the PC.

Actually there is a way to remove activation lock.. There are many software you can use to remove it and Apple can remove it also

While updating it appeared error 4042, then I pressed volume up, volume down and hold side button until it entered recovery mode, then I tried again and it seems to be updating correctly now

What happens to the eSim when you DFU Restore?
Ever since the latest iOS update on my 12, my photo stream doesn’t show photos I take with my phone. Screenshots show, but nothing taken with the phone. Same with iPad. Anyone else? I can’t seem to get help for this.
Is a mac computers required to do the dfu reset
Bro I have I phone 15 pro max it upgrade to new IOS and after several hours during using the phone it freeze and goes black and now not able to power on. PC iTunes detect but not work. Now two things happen 1. Start restore by iTunes and give error 9 and
2. Now iTunes show phone in dfu mode please restore first please help me as I tried all noting work
