Mt San Jacinto brings back childhood memories. Sitting in my grandfather's pickup truck looking up at it on our way to Joshua Tree for Easter vacation. I always rode with Grandma and Grandpa. My sister rode with my parents.
Thats a thumbs up 👍for your Mum (Mom) Mums will always bring you down to earth Josh..love her hi Mum!! That will teach you to take her along then leave her behind on the trail..you should walk with her. cheers from West Oz. Loved that sleeping man so cool.. do you have film clips of the others..
really cool to show all these instalation, thanks. I think, may be chainlink, searching for the sky and immersive, are installations that could be very interesting to be seen from the sky... like with a drone...
I commented on your Salton Sea video about whether or not you have visited The Mosaic House in Venice, CA and also Rubel Castle in Glendora. Definitely go if you haven’t already.
I am with your mom there, that container one and that chain fence looks best, that maze near the end is good but that heart in water is epic. Though nothing compares to that mirror house 2017.
My favorite is clearly the first installation (Sleeping Figure). Pure geometric forms (the way the containers are stacked) made of "non-aesthetic" utilitarian objects, in an amazing setting. It could even be symbolic of a train wreck (man vs forces of nature we are not in control of). I just really liked it.
So nice to see you with your mom. Thanks for sharing this. I’m going to take my daughter. I was thinking about if it would work to stay overnight somewhere then head to the Salton Sea check out all the art from your last blog then head home to San Diego. Do you think that’s too much? Do you have suggestion where a good place to stay between the two that’s not too expensive?
Hey Josh you should have flown your drone to look down and capture 2:42 how it would look like from the sky. Although, the artists placed it on the ground, so he shouldn't expect spectators to be birds.
Hey that is really cool to have different family members along in your videos 👍
great to see your mom in a video. And those drinks sure looked tasty!! great video
Love Palm Spring (1 day). The food looks amazing! 😍

I like unique things like this. I didn’t even know that Desert X existed.
Glad to introduce it to you, it is a fun adventure I like doing every two years

@@susancurtis7504 I have been to Rubel Castle and have a video on it, but I haven't been to Mosaic House. I want to check it out though!
@2:18 San Jacinto on the left, San Gorgonio on the right. Such amazing views.

I agree, the mirror house was so incredible, I wish they would have kept it
Quirky, the surroundings really helps to give this a surreal effect.
Yea, I agree, the stark desert makes the art stand out
Super cool. Going to have to check this out. Thanks for the video heads up 👍
No problem 👍
Awesome video, we love art such as that. >Merton +Sue 😊
Thanks so much 😊 I am glad you enjoy it as well!
Very cool 😎
Thanks for watching!
Welcome to my neck of the woods!
I love exploring the Coachella Valley when it is not the heat of the summer haha
@@californiathroughmylens no summer is NOT the time to visit unless your by a swimming pool all day and then can enjoy the evening out.
That's some cool, unique art work. 👍
Glad you liked it!

Agreed, it is such a cool installation! I would like to go see it again

Glad you mentioned that it's only available until May. I missed desert x last year and am looking forward to catching it this year.
Yea it usually only happens for about 2 months. I wish they would keep some of the installations longer.
Hey Josh you should have flown your drone to look down and capture 2:42 how it would look like from the sky. Although, the artists placed it on the ground, so he shouldn't expect spectators to be birds.
Yea, a couple of these would have been really cool to see with a drone!
HI JOSH'S MOM!!!!!!!!
Awesome. When does desert x end?
Mt San Gorgonio (Old Grayback) @2:07?
If you brought some mountain bikes that would be easier to get from the car to the exhibits.
