  • The slogan that New Mexico is the land of enchantment is created purely for marketing strategy. But it’s not misleading. During our 4 day road trip through New Mexico, we saw a wild and beyond incredible and creative nature which truly is reflected in just as creative art, architecture, food, and history of New Mexico. We started the trip in Santa Fe, and drove south to stunning Carlsbad Caverns, and absolutely out of this world White Sands. We explored New Mexico’s history, nature, art, food, and culture. Enjoy!

States and localities should be paying you to tour them and make these videos, this was so much fun because your enthusiasm really came through, thank you! 👍

I’ve lived in Santa Fe for 35 years and literally worked every corner and mountain top in the state as a communications engineer. This is a very well done travel video. It’s a good itinerary for first time visitors to NM. I recommend visiting in the fall. It’s cooler, the scenery is greener after the late summer monsoons (rain) and it’s peak wild flower season. The annual Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta in October is a bucket list item you won’t regret. While there I recommend a day drive out of Albuquerque going south to Socorro to see Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge. Thousands of sandhill cranes and snow geese overwinter at the picturesque Refuge. From there drive east on highway 60 to Quemado. It’s a beautiful drive where you will see the Very Large Array aka VLA. These enormous telescopes are akin to satellite dishes aimed to the sky. Seeing them up close is awesome; however, Covid has had the visitor center closed. It’s been featured in extraterrestrial movies. Keep driving to Quemado. Stop along the way to take pictures of the roadside wild flowers. At Quemado take hwy 36 north, then take highway 117 to El Malpais National Park. There isn’t cell phone service and fuel up at Quemado. This park is one of the best if not the best in the state of NM. Another area to visit is the mountain village Taos and book a whitewater raft excursion if you’re there in the springtime. A lot of people visit NM only to end up coming back to live : )

I am glad you enjoyed your time in NM. Thank you for coming down south so few people spend time in the southern and eastern parts of the state.

I fell in love with New Mexico from being in the mortgage business and looking at appraisals of homes in this region. I was sure that they must use special filters for the sky to be so blue! Great Video of showing so many of the beautiful skies and scenery that I have now ventured out to see myself and this video covers all my favorites. Don’t miss the beauty of New Mexico!

The last time we, a wedding party ate at the shed it was too hot and
most of us could not eat it ! Ruined the food. We are from the Southwest
and love Mexican food. Go figure 🤪

My father as a youth would guide railroad delivered
entitled gentlemen on ranch livestock with working
saddles out of Roswell westward to summit a sky-
scraping mountain. Which led me to avoid guided
tourism and seek caverns to explore.

In '21 I was invited to go party with men and women.
Who by cartography and exploration proved they had
walked and by technical climbing traveled 150 miles.
Within US Park Service land where no stars are seen.
