That’s so cool that you and Amy are teaching your kiddos to love travel and nature too. They looked like they had a lot of fun. At their age, potty issues happen. I worked at a preschool where all the kids had to be fully potty trained before they could be enrolled but we always had back up clothes for every student, even the six yr olds. It happens. Wise you had them nap before your later adventures. Though not all kids nap. I never could nap. Neither could my nephew, but we had a quiet hour of just lying down and not talking. My mom would give me a book and crayons. Sometimes I’d fall asleep. Mostly never. Same with my nephew. But we both tended to go to sleep early and sleep long. Whatever a kid needs. You both seem like you got their rhythms down. And they are at the age that anything you do is wonderful. So what a perfect time to introduce them to traveling. Good on you both 😊
Thanks so much for the great comment! Yea, for us naps have been important as it helps them to enjoy the second half of the day more. It isn't always ideal while traveling to have to go back and nap but it is usually worth it haha
Thank you guys for this beautiful video. My friend and I want to plan a vacation to the California coastline sometime, and you are giving us some great ideas. Thank you again!
This is a must do if you love nature! We always go when we are in the area. Great job showing it and the lighthouse too! It gets crazy windy there sometimes.
Hi from Sonoma County Josh - Love seeing your kids enjoy the sights we grew up visiting! Went to kindergarten in Pt. Reyes Station and local field trips included all those spots. Keep it up - - - (alden and priscilla)
The kids are adorable. That said, I’ve watched a few Point Reyes videos lately, and it’s definitely higher on our list. So beautiful. The fact that there’s so much to do for kids in such scenery has got to be a parents dream (or nightmare lol).
You hit most of our favorite spots at Point Reyes National Seashore. We've been going there for 40 years. One place you didn't show us Limantour Beach, Arch rock Trail from the visitor center, and all the other great hiking trails! Love seeing the next generation enjoying Point Reyes too! Great Video. Thanks, Josh.
I live in Marin and can’t wait to get back out there, you reminded me of some great simple pleasures. Great work as always and thank you for sharing our wonderful state.
I LOVE Point Reyes!! Did many many day hikes there! McClures beach is a not to be missed short hike! It feels like a special almost private beach! Would love to see a video of that too if you do more on Point Reyes!
Apparently I need to watch more of your videos. I didn't realize you have babies! I love lighthouses and I've been to Point Reyes many many times. But I still learned about new things in this video. Thank you
I love this area! I spend a lot of time here hiking, even have a big hike coming up this week 😀 We got really lucky a couple of months ago and got to do a walk on Drakes Beach with a ranger, so cool 😎 Looked like a great family getaway! Thanks for sharing with us 😊
Oh wow that is awesome! I bet you have some great memories from the area. I have been a few times but I would love to spend a lot more time exploring there
Your kiddos are so adorable and it's fun watching them growing up and interacting more and more with the places you travel to! This trip was very cool, had no idea about any of these places and look forward to exploring them next time I am in the area!
I may have to include this spot on a trip up the coast this summer. I think it’s great that a place you enjoyed before being a parent you are now sharing with your kids who enjoy it as well!
you got quite lucky with the lighthouse view, few times I been there couldn't even see it behind the fog. Though a bit of fog does make the tree tunnel look awesome
At the Chimney Rock parking lot, if you head to the left on a short path you reach the main elephant seal viewing area. They are at a distance, but it is always neat to see how many there are at that spot.
I like the spring and the fall myself. It can get cold in the winter and really hot for hiking in the summer. There can be a lot of fog in the fall but there are less people and the weather is cooler. This video was from the spring and it was great as there was not many people there.
Thanks for the message, these are the jackets they have. They are pricy but they work really great and we have used ours a ton www.patagonia.com/product/baby-reversible-tribbles-hoody/61160.html?dwvar_61160_color=SNDB&cgid=kids-babies-toddlers-jackets-vests
Those are the Tule Elk. They're a rare breed of elk that have lived there forever, and some people want them removed. A couple years ago, ranchers cut them off from their water supply by putting up fences. Advocates had to haul in water for them and were told they weren't allowed to do that. I'm not sure what's going on with the controversy now. Save the Tule Elk!
All of these kids out here being raised in the streets should have parents who are doing these types of things instead of drinking, doing drugs and just sitting around watching tv...like other comments have said...ya'll are great parents...and your just NORMAL parents doing NORMAL things!
Sad to see the wrecked boat defaced with graffiti. A lot of people go there to have engagement / wedding portraits taken at the boat. Looked like a great trip. The twins are getting so big!
Yea, the boat has had a few unfortunate things happen to it over the years, starting with the fire that some people started there about a decade ago. - I agree, they are getting big!
Love seeing the kids hiking and enjoying the sights. Ya'll are great parents.
It is so fun to see them enjoying these spots. I loved seeing how much they wanted to run through the tree tunnel haha

Your children are just beautiful! You guys to a great job parenting them. You are blessed… enjoy this age.
That coastline view is intense! So different from our SoCal beaches that are never devoid of people. Can't wait to head back up there.
I agree, it is crazy to see no people on the whole coast!
Those Osprey carrying packs are a parent game-changer! We used ours ALL the time when our kids were little! Thanks for all of your fantastic videos!
They really are amazing! We have used ours a lot and love them
Thank you guys for this beautiful video. My friend and I want to plan a vacation to the California coastline sometime, and you are giving us some great ideas. Thank you again!

What amazing video! What awesome family! ❤
Thanks so much!
That was so sweet. ❤
Glad you liked it!
Absolutely love your videos with the family!!! Awesome trip!!!
great video, the kids certainly enjoyed it
Amazing recording of the trip, and majestic sunset at the end! Can't get better than this
Beautiful video as always. Thank you for putting this kind of content. I have a family as well and we love seeing videos of places we can visit.
No problem! I hope that the videos help you plan your travels as well!
Went to the shipwreck after having seen it on another one of tour videos and it was a great success with the kid! Thank you!
Bet your back ached with the kids on your back. Great place for the family.I've been to Point Reyes and love it. Thanks for sharing.
such a heartwarming video. ❤

You’re kids are adorable!❤
I went to Point Reyes for the first time this past month thanks to your previous videos and it did not disappoint!
did this when I was in college. Super fun. Thanks.
Beautiful family 👪 ❤ 💕
Your wife is strong!!!!
Such a lovely family! 😊
You guys are awesome by creating memories with your kids and bring content for us.
Trying my hardest to show them as many places as I can as they grow up
I think Point Teyes is beautiful! Really enjoyed to kids!❤️😀🇺🇸🚙

It really is a stunning spot and very underrated I think
Beautiful! Absolutely beautiful!
Another great video. Your family is adorable.
Such a sweet video and gorgeous shots of Point Reyes. We're heading there tomorrow. Your little ones make it even sweeter. Thanks for the inspiration.

Awesome place but doing it with family makes roadtrips extra special! All the best! 💪🏼
It is really fun to see them enjoy these spots
Great video, and one of the verde few about this beautiful place
I was just there with my husband this past weekend , such a beautiful place!
Very Nice....keep these Videos coming !
I've been there...Amazing!
Always enjoy your videos, another great one, definitely will visit here soon. Thank you for doing what you do.
Apparently I need to watch more of your videos. I didn't realize you have babies! I love lighthouses and I've been to Point Reyes many many times. But I still learned about new things in this video. Thank you
haha they are in like 5-6 videos like this from the last two years, with visits to Yosemite, Big Bear, Coronado, Napa and a few others.
I just love this channel. Keep the videos coming.
Thank you so much!
Thank you for the tour. Been to Point Reyes once but we didn't know about all of these spots then.
I hope you can get back there and see it again!
I have been a few times but I would love to spend a lot more time exploring there
Love this beach. Last summer, took a road trip on my motorcycle along the northern coast and stop there.
LOVE this! We live in Sonoma and go to Point Reyes often. Love your video!!
So awesome! I wish I lived closer
Nice. I was there a few months ago for an overnight backpacking trip. Loved it. The trails are nice and the views are spectacular.
Oh wow, I would love to backpack through the park!
I love the Point Reyes area! McClures beach at the northern end of the peninsula is my absolute favorite beach I’ve ever been to. Amazing video!
That is a stunning beach for sure. I saw like 10 elk on hike down there last time I visited
Awesome place! I think Point Reyes and Point Lobos are the two most scenic spots you've done. Definitely bucket list places.
I agree, those places are so amazing
Your kiddos are so adorable and it's fun watching them growing up and interacting more and more with the places you travel to! This trip was very cool, had no idea about any of these places and look forward to exploring them next time I am in the area!
It is fun for me to see how much they have progressed in the family travel videos I made, such a huge change
CA is so beautiful
Agree 100%
I may have to include this spot on a trip up the coast this summer. I think it’s great that a place you enjoyed before being a parent you are now sharing with your kids who enjoy it as well!
It is worth seeing for sure. Ya, it is so fun to see these places through my kids eyes
I spent quite a while there in 2017 and loved every minute of it - so did my camera!
SO awesome! I am glad you love it as well
I live in Northern CA. I’m gonna copy you and take my wife and kids on this exact adventure
So awesome! I hope you have a great time!
I can remember visiting years ago and having the best woodfired pizza. I believe it was called Cafe Reyes.
Omg, adorable kids! We’re traveling in California for the next 2 months, and have used much of your past content to help us plan our trip. 👍
SO awesome, I hope you have a great trip!
The PCH is still on my bucket list.
It is so stunning and you can spend so much time at individual spots, we spent 4 days here on our trip.
you got quite lucky with the lighthouse view, few times I been there couldn't even see it behind the fog. Though a bit of fog does make the tree tunnel look awesome
I agree, fog is cool with the tree tunnel but not ideal at the lighthouse haha
So cute
😊
Another great location in the area is Pierce Point Ranch. Lots of elk and an amazing 5 mile hike.
Agreed, that is a stunning area. It has been a few years since I hiked it but I love that trail.
Of course Pt. Reyes lighthouse was where Adrian Barbeau's radio station was in John Carpenters "The Fog".
I need to watch that movie!
Awesome video! One thing Josh forgot to mention is The Ligthouse was used in the film The Fog. 😊
Good call! I need to watch that movie
@@californiathroughmylens classic movie! The atmosphere is where it's at in that movie. Also, John Carpenter is a great director.
Love how Jack respond to what the seal 🦭 says to each other 😂
I thought that was hilarious as well haha
You found my teenage playground . . . from 57 years ago. The only thing that seems to have changed is the Orange barriers between you and the seals.
Wow that is awesome! I bet you know a lot of amazing places in the park
I've never been down the lighthouse stairs, kudos to you!
And, I've never done the Cypress Tunnel, go figure!
As always...
Thanks for the comment, they are both amazing places to see
At the Chimney Rock parking lot, if you head to the left on a short path you reach the main elephant seal viewing area. They are at a distance, but it is always neat to see how many there are at that spot.
Good call! Last time I was there it was pouring rain haha
The views are just breathtaking!! What would be the best months to visit, Josh?Since you’ve been there many times 🙌🏽
I like the spring and the fall myself. It can get cold in the winter and really hot for hiking in the summer. There can be a lot of fog in the fall but there are less people and the weather is cooler. This video was from the spring and it was great as there was not many people there.
@@californiathroughmylens thank you 🙌🏽
If its the only puddle in the area they will find it every time! LOL
Can you swim here ? Great video !!
Point Reyes is COLD 🥶
Very nice video as always. I believe those were baby tule elk not deer you saw before the lighthouse.
Oh really? That is awesome!
Yes, me and my family have been going there for years!! Next time check out the Tomales Point Trail, it's a treat and my favorite in that area.
❤
My dad said Sunny looks like Amie when she was little.
Can you list of the names of all places your family visited on this trip? They are beautiful and I’d like explore. Thanks 🙏🏽
I love their jackets what brand is that?❤
Thanks for the message, these are the jackets they have. They are pricy but they work really great and we have used ours a ton www.patagonia.com/product/baby-reversible-tribbles-hoody/61160.html?dwvar_61160_color=SNDB&cgid=kids-babies-toddlers-jackets-vests

We are trying out best to get them out to see all of the places we love around the state.
I have a suggestion for a video visit the lost coast of California
It is on the list but I haven't gotten any permits yet for it
Sad to see the wrecked boat defaced with graffiti. A lot of people go there to have engagement / wedding portraits taken at the boat. Looked like a great trip. The twins are getting so big!
