Donna and Team, what a fabulous video. It is such a great reference. I am thrilled that you added all the pages on how to cut the backing fabrics for all the sizes, plus directional. Thank you for putting those free for us at FabricCafe.com. Then you put every reference in this one video by adding your tutorial on binding. Wow, I wish there was a Love button!
I have made several of your quilts in the past couple of weeks. I love how fast they go together. I have been quilting for many years. My stash has taken over my house. These quilts are a great and fast way to use my fabrics. My family loves receiving the quilts. I just finished a queen quilt for my bed. I have seven of your books and use them before any other book. Thank you so much for all the great ideas.
I absolutely love your books, have a pile of them. My oldest granddaughter cut out several "kits" for me when she was visiting, so I have Donna's designs to work on. It is nice to be able to go into my sewing cupboard and pick out what I want to sew. I taught her how to sew now she is better than gramma.
I love your quilts! I have gotten so many compliments. I am glad to learn tricks and tips. I like the idea of 3, 1yd quilts how to shop for focus, light n dark. 😊
Hi Donna thank you for sharing your knowledge. I have purchased all of your books plus the fat quarter book. I have made three quilts so far and I am working on the fourth.
I wish I’d had know about your method when I started quilting and everyone said I needed a stash. No one ever said how much fabric to buy so I loaded up on fat 1/4. Glad you now have a pattern book out that helps me use them up!
Hi Trish! I think I've started filling that need with quilters. There's a time for long and challenging, but there is also a need for simplified quilting. Donna
Thanks, Donna, for this tutorial - lots of very helpful nformation which I really appreciate. I love the tranquil way you explain and talk it is so refreshing it helps me to take time out and relax 😌 Best wishes to you and your team from Dublin.
Hi Donna! I have just completed three separate 3-Yard Quilt Kits, tops only, and am preparing to finish them with batting, backing, and binding. These are the first I've purchased from Fabric Cafe and think I am hooked! I love the way you coordinate the quilt kit fabrics, your pattern instructions are easy to follow, and the results are lovely. I look forward to viewing and enjoying your videos. Thank you.
Hi Donna Love the fabrics! Working on Corner Play at the moment.....with a much different 100% cotton fabric lol. I saw this fabric at Walmart that I really liked and just grabbed it......a few days later when i decided to use it i found out its duck fabric.....no idea what that is but it's 100% cotton so I thought...why not let's do something crazy and different and see how it turned out haha
Julie, YES! This will be our first show since March 2020. We are so excited and looking forward to seeing our quilting friends! We will announce our booth number as soon as it is assigned (Usually around mid September). Donna

Hi Donna
Love the fabrics!
Working on Corner Play at the moment.....with a much different 100% cotton fabric lol.

Duck is just a woven fabric that is fine for quilting…
@@sandrak7267 ok cool thank you....I have no idea haha...I know its heavy and I thought what the heck lol...what's the worst that can happen 🤣🤣
Duck is much heavier than quilting cotton. I've not used it for making a quilt, so let me know how it turns out. Donna
@@FabricCafe I will do as soon as it is finished I'll have to take a picture of it send it to your email cuz I'm kind of curious myself LOL
Thanks so much for explaining all this to us!

Roxanne, we don't have that on our schedule at this time. Donna
@@FabricCafe Well then, I will just experiment!!!! Love you patterns and methods.
Is the kit you show in this video available in the online store? It’s beautiful!
Yes. Check www.fabriccafe.com and click on 3-yard quilt kits. Donna
Donna what thread 🧵 do you use?
Thanks for asking! Mettler. Donna
Donna, when extending the borders do you use straight seam or diagonal seam
I usually make all straight seams. Donna
Hi Donna. Just wondering-is Hannah still with you?
Absolutely! Donna
Could you please explain to me what you mean when you say with a fabric I know you've probably heard this question a million times if not more I'm just not sure is there anybody out there that can let me know thank you have a great day Donna
She is saying width of fabric. So easy to hear it wrong as it sounds the same!
Thank you for pointing that out I meant wof width of fabric
@@bettyvanette1580 This is the measurement from selvage to selvage, or the width of fabric.
