      I agree 100% I started watching this channel because Donna was so real. I prefer it to acting out a little skit and pretending like they don't know what the quilts and or patterns even look like. I like it when they keep it real.

    👍Great video Hanna! Your quilt is beautiful. Last year I made one of the 3-yard quilts using a Layer Cake for my #1 Focus Fabric and it turned out great. It's nice to be able to use up all the precuts I've bought over the years. I have five 3-yard quilt books and I wrote the size of the focus fabric block on each page that could be used for that purpose so I can see them at a glance.

    I'd like to see scrapping in other patterns. I can think of some of the other patterns this could work, but I'd love to see more.
    What I learned from quilting: I haven't just learned to quilt, I hung a large print wallpaper based on the theory of it's just like matching plaids in fabrics. I figured out how to install a doorknob on an exterior door based on measuring, connecting pieces, and difficulty level. For actual quilt making, quilting has taught me that I have a lot more creativity and skill than I give myself credit.

    Hi this is Brenda Bertrand and I would like to make a couple of comments on Hannah's video. Hannah, you were awesome. It was so great not to hear "Keep Watching" I have watched every video for the last year. I'm going to keep watching! Hanna was awesome. she didn't tell me to keep watching. Having said that you have made quilting availabe for anyone who wants to learn. The two quilt stores that I frequent in Calgary have many 3 yard quilts displayed in their stores and have many of your books. Anyone who has never quilted before can watch your show, go to a quilt store and can make any 3 Yard Quilt. You have changed my life, and it's for the better. And finally what is a king/queen quilt. Thanks for all you do.
    Brenda from Calgary, Canada

    • @FabricCafe
      @FabricCafe  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Brenda! Thank you so much for your inspired comment. 😊 A king/queen quilt is usually a quilt that has a finished size that falls around a queen/king comforter or bed topper. Every pattern will have a different finished queen/king size, but all will roughly be around 90" x 100"

    Wonderful video! I watched it several times. Hannah explained all thought processes, fabric selection, quilting design so excellently. Let's get real. Many of us have tons of fabric in our stash. I'm like Hannah. I will use my leftover fabric scraps, but I have to run to the fabric store to complete the quilt, ending up with, you guessed it, more fabric scraps. Hannah please continue these wonderful videos. You are so charming, practical, realistic, and full of common sense.

    This was wonderful! I am grateful to Dee for sending in the photo of her quilt made with a layer cake, as I had already decided to try it myself! Since the layer cake squares are 1/2¨ smaller than the pattern calls for, I just cut the corner squares 1/2¨ smaller as well. It turned out great! Plus, the quilt was larger than the normal 3-yard quilt sizes. I love to know if any of the 3-yard quilt patterns can be adapted for jelly rolls (I have quite a stash of those!). Thanks, Hannah; this was a terrific video, and I look forward to seeing more of this series.
