    Hi, i have multiples videos with different resolutions so when i put the setting "fit to visible" it does it for all the videos so there is black bars when its not the same resolution, how can i fix this ? thanks

    • @techsmith
      @techsmith  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ideally, I would make your project settings match your smallest video (720p maybe?). Then, click each video clip and in the Properties panel on the right you can Scale the larger clips down to fit.
      The reason for starting with the smallests size is that none of them will go OVER 100% scale that way, maintaining as much quality as possible.

      Camtasia 9 isn't available for 32-bit. You'd need to downgrade to version 8, which is available here: www.techsmith.com/download/oldversions

      It’s one piece of software, but you can just record your video and then export it when you’re done recording from the editor. No actual editing required if you choose not to.

    I have an iPad pro and the screen recording video ends up with black bars on both sides of video. Is there a solution to get rid of those bars or minimize them to as much as possible?

    • @techsmith
      @techsmith  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Two options come to mind: You can either crop them out by resizing your video to fill the screen, but that would potentially crop some of your recording, OR, duplicate your video on a lower track, make it gigantic to replace the black bars on the side, and then blur out the background video with the blur annotation so that it doesn't distract completely from your video. I hope that helps!

      @@techsmith can I do something by connecting the iPad pro with my pc monitor and then record it's screen on the pc with camtasia at 720p?

    • @techsmith
      @techsmith  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jitenderrawat3658 If you can connect it to your PC, go for it! The standard way to record would be connected via a cable, and then selecting your iPad as a recording source instead of your desktop. Another option, is to download the TechSmith Capture App from the App Store, do your recordings with that, and then it'll offer you an option to export to Camtasia right from your iPad. apps.apple.com/us/app/techsmith-capture/id1266321056

    the recording text ( like Computer Icon text ) It does not appear clearly

    • @techsmith
      @techsmith  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      That may have a lot to do with both the resolution you recorded at and/or the resolution of your editing project. If you recorded at 1080p for example, make sure you're also editing at 1080p. If you recorded much larger, but edit still at 1080p then you could zoom in to make your text more clear.

    Hi, I am using a MACBOOK PRO 13 ins. I want to make screen recording courses. How can I record the screen at 1080p? If I click record, it will record my whole monitor page which I don't want. I want it to record a part of my screen only where I will show some explanations in my lectures. I don't want to show my students some unnecessary part of my screen which they don't need. Specifically, I plan to use One Note for teaching and drawing. I only want to record the page, not all the tools and things outside the page. I also want that part to be in 1080p size, not any other size. How can I do that without sacrificing the quality of the video due to size adjusting while editing?

    • @techsmith
      @techsmith  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In the Camtasia recorder, you'll need to select 1080p by clicking on "Color LCD". If it doesn't show up, your monitor might not support 1080p. If you get stuck at all, our tech support team can help: support.techsmith.com

    GREAT Tutorial but at exactly the 3:03 - 4:01 area - I completely lose you. Can you do another standalone video and really spell this out more clearly what it looks like in real life putting yourself in the mind of the average user who may just know the size of their monitor in inches?
    For instance, most people probably have a 13", 14", 15.6", & 17" monitor they are using (they probably don't know about how to physically measure their monitor with a ruler to determine the dimensions you use in the video) but they do know their monitor size.
    When you say you record on a monitor that is 2560 x 1440 - What size monitor is that as bought from the store/amazon (13", 14", 15.6", & 17", 20", 21"?????????).
    If you can plainly state this - then I will know what size in inches of monitor to buy.
    Then when I launch Camtasia I will use the 1280 x 720 dimensions you speak of and will be assured that I have a solid basis to start recording videos that will have great quality.
    Please spell this out - it would be greatly appreciated.
    All I know now, is that I have a 14" laptop and when I record a demonstration on it - I fill the screen and record I mostly use full screen with 1920 x 1080 which as you know is a pre-set option in Camtasia.

    • @techsmith
      @techsmith  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately the measurement of your monitor in inches doesn't reflect the dimensions of your computers resolution. A 16" monitor could have ANY of the aforementioned pixel dimensions. So could a 27" monitor. That's just the size of the physical space, not the pixel dimensions.
      To find out your computer's pixel dimensions (1920x1080 for example, which is more commonly a video size that a computer one) you need to look into your display settings. Unfortunately there is not a one-size-fits-all solution for this as there are so many different variables available.
      So sadly, we cannot plainly state it, as everyone with a slightly different make/model monitor will have differing results as there is no set standard in place.
