Well, fellas, I've had the 4 book hardcover set on my shelf for more years than I can remember. But I've been reading a TON of Xmen and a complete reread of the Ultimate Universe for the past 2 years. And I really miss reading Batman books. I haven't really dived into too much DC lately, but I need a break and am ready for a dive back into DC. Your video, AND the comments here helped me decide between the Gotham Central first read and the DCeased re-read and finish ( I have not read the 4th HC). Appreciate every single one of my fellow Comic book readers!! 🙏

If you love The Wire you will definitely appreciate Gotham Central. There is a reason why this is such a critically acclaimed series. I consider this top tier as it really shows the creative way you can coincide with Batman’s line of books but still thrive without being a derivative of the Bat family.
I can’t remember on whose recommendation I originally picked this up - might have been you?! - but so glad I did. Have only read a small part so far but love it. How could it not be with the Lazarus team + Brubaker on it. Really looking forward to finishing it. Thanks for the great work. Have just also started on Simone’s Birds of Prey based on seeing it recom’d on another of your videos recently and love that too.
