I recommend people who liked this series to watch The Shield, The Wire, Justified, Unbelievable, True Detective, & Homicide: Life on the Street.
You guys are the real Trinity! In this episode, we get to see Zip Up Nike Amanda, Drunken Future Omar, and Maddie display her cat taming powers. Oh, and they talked about Gotham Central too.
I read this series when it first came out. Brubaker's work in general is compelling crime drama and Rucka creates compelling characters. The ensemble is really fleshed out and batverse fans will love their take on the city.
Great series! I always liked the gag about Romy shooting Batman and getting her nose broken and her gun taken away by him and the rest of the department is basically like “that’s what happens when you shoot at Batman🤷🏾♂️”😂
Even more excited to read this! I’m a big fan of the street level heroes, the Question, green Arrow, Daredevil, punisher, Moon Knight .. etc. We all know both these writers are amazing at these types of stories. Great vid much love near mint ❤️
Great show everyone. Thanks. I haven't read much of GC, but your high praise has got me interested. After all, I am a Raymond Chandler fan at heart. If you like GC, I would suggest you review Powers: Who Killed Retro Girl. Of course some of the art would need censoring, but it too follows cops in the world of super heroes. Or to switch gears a bit, look at DC New Frontier. That book was amazing. On a side note, I don't like it when Marvel and DC take popular super villains and try to make them heroes or anti-heroes. I read this because of your schedule and was excited about actually having a fresh read to go with old reader and new reader. Question. I have the first two volumes of the TP, does the omnibus contain anything that the trades don’t? Because I plan on getting the next two volumes to finish the read and complete the story. Unless the Omnibus contains anything the TP doesn’t.

HAHAHA! These fee like real people and Bendis' dialogue reminds me of sometimes a bad script being read.
I’ve only read volume two of Gotham central which is renee’s coming out story and loved it! This made me want to read the rest of the series.

I actually prefer the trades. The omnibus doubles up as something that'd stop a bullet
There is nothing extra in the omnibus. I just like to own it all in one.
