After further review, Scott has contacted Jay Greene and has come to find out the cam he has in his car is not what he needs to be running for a stroker setup. He has now ordered a new Stage 4 Cam for the car.👍
I need to learn to read. Just realized it's not a 392 lol. That's impressive for a 5.7, I have a buddy with a edelbrock supercharger on a stock car and he gets smoked by the 392'S
Scott is still a 392 he's just a 5.7 based 392. Yeah, it's hard for me to believe your buddy is getting walked by 392 unless he's running extremely low boost.
I’m actually right now as we speak stroking my 2015 Challenger R/T 5.7 to a 6.4... Boreing, forgeing , stroking, dyno tunning.... ported heads , JBA long tubes , catless 3” exhaust to super 10 flowmasters , mmx ported throttle body, 180 tstat, hellcat lower air box, MDS delete , limited slip differential I just started a TH-cam channel last week so please like and subscribe I’m waiting for the stroker kit to come in and I’ll start videos of the build, I’m definitely open to any suggestions so please comment as well THANKS. Dyno tune video will also be posted
My 392 with the same mods (heads, cam, ported manifold, full exhaust, e85) made 518/490. Still nice numbers compared to the 5.7L that the engine was based off of.
Thats a very good number man! Congrats on your build. We figured out his cam that he has is basically a stage 1 5.7 Cam. He just ordered a Stage 4 cam that will drastically change his power. We also need to get him up to 7000RPM 👍🤝 New video today I uploaded
I have a 2012 Challenger SRT8 392 that now is stroked to 430, Edlebrock Heads and intake, Comp Cam 274, VMP 105mm TB, Kooks 2 inch primary long tubes and green cats with Borla Atak cat back exhaust...@Hammersrt
Thats badass man! Sounds like that thing is making some crazy power. We just ordered a Stage 4 cam for his Challenger since he was running a stage 1 5.7 Cam that Jay Greene sent him. This should really help out his power numbers.
Hey man, how's it goin. If you like the 6.1 Challengers, I think you would dig mine and is a lotta fun. We've done quite a bit to it aesthetically as well as most of the bolt ons, except headers and is also diablo turned. Just got new lightweight 17" wheels on it with MT 305x45 street ss, and runs very close to the same numbers as stock 392s. The latest thing we did was the conversion headlight projectors to the updated 2015 +, and also has the induction that feeds fresh air into the CAl. Just before doing those, I got a Braille racing battery for her and between it & the wheels, is almost 100 lbs less
Thats badass man! You should definitely bring that thing up here to WA State and we'll get that thing on the channel and even get some fun runs in! That would be great, thanks for that support on the channel.🤝👊
Whats needed to tune with jay greene i have a 2018 challenger scat pack 392 just like yours in white but mine has a satin black hood and roof with the same stripes your car has in the back
@@landoninahellcat8745 Ive got some runs of my car as well if you like seeing some races. Yeah it does there's little lope with this cam. We are in the process of installing a Stage 4 cam cause his old one was too small. Subscribe and check out the other videos!👍
Thats not the issue though with why his power is where it's at. The cam he is running is a stage 1 5.7 hemi cam.. when he doesn't even have a 5.7 anymore, he's not taking advantage of his motor with that Cam he has
@@landoninahellcat8745 the cam is most of the problem, but these cars are sensitive to knock. Watch. Do what I'm saying before and after dyno and guarantee he'll pick up power. I've logged this shit for years now. Whomever told him to put that small of a cam in that stroker is ridiculous.
Hey gorgeous lol,, we spoke about a month ago about getting Jay G. tune,,I got all the stuff I need my question is how in the hell did you get the tuner to update I got the i3 platinum and it just won't update via wifi do I have to do it another way ,,Jay is ready just need this thing updated,,plz anyone who has a clue I'd love to know lol I'm ready for gap city 😀
Hey dog, I remember mine was being really buggy when it came to updating and I don't think you necessarily need it updated to send and receive tunes, have you tried not updating it and sending him a base data log? From what I remember I think I only updated it 1 and then didn't do it again because it was having issues.
@@landoninahellcat8745 cool no I haven't tried that yet I literally just opened the box today first thing tried to update the device but can't get it to sync,so I will try that tomorrow, thanks for the info,,love the content,, the laugh when you gap people is hilarious I love it, I get the same feeling 👍🏼 keep that 🔥 content coming ✌
Yeah but he could have just brought a 6.4 and saved an ass of money. The days of building a fast car are done for most of us. Just buy yourself one. To all of you that are into doing the work kudos to you. Way too much time.
No, not on this dyno. My car bone stock only made 411 wheel and 421 torque. Now it's 442/462. So he's making more than a stock 392 but the car should be well over 425 wheel. He's changing cams most likely because the one he has isn't for a stroker kit he found out.
Naw, thats not the issue, the issue is the cam we figured out. His cam basically is a lightly upgraded stock cam for a 5.7 which is not good for his stroker setup. That Victor intake manifold is a beast especially for top end power. Once he gets this new cam on that will allow him to make power through 6500RPM without falling off at 5300RPM, there should be really good gains.

What do you mean knocking is it the Lifters
Considering a stock 5.7 can make up to 650 while the 6.4 can make up to 950 hmmm

yea you can, but why though?
You’re gonna want a new intake manifold crankshaft cold air intake throttle body port the heads etc
Vent catch can itll help with knk trust me
