You should go into the history of the Torqstorm supercharger. Powerdyne supercharger, yes the crappy ones from the 90’s, owed a ton of cash to a vendor which did the machine work. The machine shop got the rights to Powerdyne, fixed the internal belt breaking and bearing issues and rebranded the the super chargers. I guess they’ve made money off it finally.
Not entirely true. Powerdyne went out of business. Another company bought all the left over parts from them. Thus company approached Accelerated tooling products to redesign a better head unit with similar shape to be used in their old bracket designs. On their own dime Accelerated developed what is now Torqstorm Superchargers. When presented to the company they decided it was no longer a venture they wanted to pursue. After consuming the huge investment into developing the Torqstorm supercharger and doing all the testing. The company Accelerated Racing Products was formed and here it is 10yrs later growing more everyday.
Jeff Neibarger seems like I saw an interview from the machine shop that ended up with all of Powerdyne/Ford Racing/ Cool racing junk. As I said , someone needs to start doing videos on the histories of speed parts companies.

Let me explain, so you have a common test motor and you test how to get the absolute most or optimized at x blower/turbo RPM. Maybe see how much power you can make on the m90 set up with getting as small of a pulley as you can. Then maybe cooling the air charge as much as possible or adding some meth or EtOH before the blower so that it helps cool and seal the rotor blades better. How about an intercooler set up that is super convoluted by making a bunch of turns as if it was in a chassis vs having a relatively direct shot towards the intake manifold with as a little turns as possible. How about testing intercooler size at a given boost / CFM/RPM. So see if a 3-inch core compared to a 4-in core compared to a dumb oversized 8-in core has any difference. Is there too large of an intercooler ever? How much power can you actually squeeze out of a vortech S trim? They advertise 675hp but but can you optimize it and actually get maybe 700 maybe 750? What about a procharger PSC1 vs the equivalent vortech? Which is more capable or better curve. Same for top mount comparison What about bullseye's batmo-wheel vs a different turbo with a more standard style of compressor wheel in an equivalent size.
306.4hp with a 20% drive-train loss to the wheels on a stock/long-tube header car, 412hp with 20% drive-train loss with headers, 273cam, ported heads, intake manifold, 541hp with the addition of torque storm blower and all that shiz combined Need some 09+ eagle 5.7 with same setup...I bet it would be a 50hp+ difference easy

I did water/meth vs Intercooler for Engine Masters-WM has trouble with distribution on long-runner intakes
@@richardholdener1727 Yea but the test was not done with the aftercooler and methanol together at the same time and it would have been great to see on a single plane intake considering a lot of racers use single plane intakes.
You should do a boost video on hemi 6.4
would love to see a test on the limits of the torquestorm superchargers. i remember when they were listed at 500hp per piece max
we've done over 700 hp and I bet we could see 800 hp on a very high hp na application, but they are a good 700-hp blower
What was peak boost on this combination? What were your IAT's? Always love seeing boost curve graphs :)
9.8 psi-no IATs
lots of power is easy but wouldn't bet on that set up lasting. Needs a re build forged pistons at least with some lighter valves and a intercooler.
It would be really interesting to see a junkyard srt10 truck motor
Hey Richard, quick question: Why isn't there any mods done anymore to the ignition? Like aftermarket ignition coils and ignition boxes, are these just not valid upgrades anymore? Thanks for the video, it's just a trend I am noticing with more and more engine mod videos. Thanks again!
the factory coil packs work very well
@@richardholdener1727 You just confirmed me (not) buying aftermarket ignition products. 🙏🏾
gen 3 hemi is a nice engine. killer ports. where were the heads ported?
Great video Richard thank you for thank infor
More hemi videos please
A little pricing -so we know what we can afford and what gives us 5.7 Hemi owners the most BANG for the BUCKS!!
Hemi cam shootout next?
Would love to know what the life expectancy is without changing ring gap, pistons, rods so on. Boost adds power but also pressure.
I drove my supercharged 5.0L Ford for 85000 miles before I pulled the motor to run it on the engine dyno
Hey Richard can you look into a hellcat short block with 5.7 heads. Thanks
like I have Hellcat $
So my lil 5.7 is just a lil beast waiting to be woken.. now I don’t feel like selling my 2019 RT challenger lol
How about a TorqStorm on the lowly 5.9 magnum? I think Steve Dulcich would approve haha
Can this be done minus the single plane intake on a LX Hemi?
So you are running a different engine then what was on the baseline.....how is that a fair comparison?
What are your thoughts about the TorqStorm supercharger? I’m debating on getting one for try 6.1 Hemi.
Got any guess's as to which car or truck the Dulcheck will be dropping the blown Hemi into. I have heard him talking about this engine a few times but never heard him say which vehicle he plans on putting it into.
What is Steve gonna do with that hemi we need to know
I'm really hoping it's going into the mopar muscle truck it needs some love with a powerful engine
I wonder with the same mods on a eagle head Hemi, which stock is 395hp, I got a good cam in it, and I'd like to do the 6.4 hemi truck intake and heads and better internals for boost, and torq storm company is here in Michigan so I'll be getting one of those soon!! Wonder if I could hit close to 700
Why no curves below 4500 for the supercharged version?
Dang wonder what a stock 5.7 in a 22 Durango would do with just the boost.
easy to calculate
I want to see some 392 tests. Please
I'd like to see what all these Hemi mods can do with the truck intake on it since there's so many trucks and SUV's that run that intake
Wha is book called I want to order one. I’m teaching myself how to work hemi your book would be great to have
What’s it do with the cam only?
Turbos make big horsepower. Just watch street outlaws. They love turbochargers. Especially twin turbos.
Anyone knows what is the cost of both the NA config (CAM+ ported heads) and with the Supercharger?
I love it 5.7 hemi definitely will respond, I did want to know what the torque numbers went to.. how much was gained?
