- Heel pain is a very common problem mostly in females compared to me. It will be early morning pain, like you sleep in the night and wake up in the morning , you have a pain and you walk for few steps, 8 - 10 steps, then it gets better. The Same thing may happen when you sit for half an hour and get up. You may get, you may get pain. Again you take few steps, 8 - 10 steps, then your pain will go off. This condition is grouped into a condition called plantar fasciitis, also called as heel pain. Most of the times, there are no causes for this, it just happens like that. Over time, there is a heel pad fat, between the bone and the skin, which will get flattened or worn off. When it gets worn off, the bone will start taking more load. This is the commonest cause. The other one is, there is a tissue called fascia, which connects the heel one to the toes. The plantar fascia from the heel to the toe, it can get tightened, also giving rise to this pain. It happens due to multiple reasons, like rheumatoid arthritis, uric acid problems leading to gout and gout related or gout type of arthritis. Here are more types of arthritis which can lead to pain, but most times the reason is unknown.it can be an old injury like a stone or a thorn which has pricked you. The stone would have come out, but the fat part is injured, leading to long term pain. Sometimes the infection can also lead to pain. How to manage this? An easier way is by exercises, stretching of the plantar fascia, that is stretching of the foot. Secondly wearing soft footwear. Microcellular rubber, microcellular polymer slippers are available. There is silicone heel pad. For people wearing shoes can use the silicon cup inside the shoes and that will also help. Sometimes with all this pain doesn’t come down, give pain killers and do physical therapies in the form of ultrasonic massages. If this doesn’t work, give local injections with steroids. With one injection, more than 70 - 80 % will get relief. If it doesn’t help, then we have to operate and clear the heel. So the pressure on the heel and then the pain also comes down.

I began to experience this pain when I resumed exercise, it actually prevented me from engaging in intense aerobics; the pain could be excruciating at times. I noticed it increased if I had a high carb diet a day before. I began to wear heel support sneakers and I decided to eliminate sugar enriched food as well as soda. I also walked/ moved around quite often and after a month I noticed a remarkable change; it feels good to be pain free.
As per a doctor's advice I avoid carb, non veg and diary products to a great next. And did hot water bath. My pain vanished completely in a few days.

My Pain was Unbelievable, I would be sick with the pain when getting out of Bed! Nothing Worked for me until I Eventually had Surgery.

Every single video I watch on this topic omits what is probably the main root cause of fasciitis - I know because I had it and now I don't. In my middle years, I put on 50 lbs. After the weight increase, I began hobbling out of bed every morning with real heel pain. The doctor suggested I get orthotic shoes which I didn't. I lost the 50lbs (eliminating the obvious and going low carb, as well as fasting 12 hours a day). After the weight loss the heel pain completely went away and hasn't come back. The feet are not designed to carry excessive weight. Why are medical professionals so disinclined to even mention obesity, let alone suggest obesity could be the problem? Are they afraid to be called 'fat shamers'? It's irresponsible.
I’m so glad I come across your comment, I’ve recently developed this pain in the heel, and I’ve been wandering if it’s because of all the weight I’ve put on. I intuitively suspect you are right. I will endeavour to lose the 20kg’s excess weight I’m carrying, and I will come back and comment on the results. But you are right, I watched 3 videos and not one person talked about obesity being “the” or “a” root cause, and thats exactly what I was looking for to see if I could tackle the root cause, and not just treat the pain.
I believe you and that’s what I need to do. I am 80 lbs over weight and my right foot is in excruciating pain. I’m having the hardest time even losing 5 lbs.

I got this pain first time today morning. I'm overweight. I walked 10,000 steps yesterday night. So, I will keep my walking regime to reduce my weight.

I had a car accident. I think that the impulse to stop the car hurt my tendons or whatever, and I developed a very strong pain on my heels for a long time. By applying Biofreeze and massaging the sides of the heels it got much better.

show up in the feet!
The pain that I am experiencing is around the rim of the heel. is it plantar fasciitis or due to low back pain.
I really think this is a good video to explain it, but I wish that it had captions. It is a little hard to understand him in certain parts, so I wish that the captions were beneath the video and moved with the video's content.

My immediate pain reliever is soaking my heel with cool water or just let heel under a flowing water frm the faucet usually water in the morning frm the source can be very cool as sun had not yet warm the piping along the way. Another immediate pain reliever is applying menthol liniment on the painful part of the foot or the heel. It helps but what Im lookong for is a permanent or minimize pain, might be a diet changed or a vegetarian diet, free frm sugar and artificial add ons on food or 5e junk food itself.

[To Everyone ...] You are not the only one. Know that it gets better. I had mine two years back, and I am still fighting the issue. So, the sooner you get treatment with a professional doctor, then the quicker the healing will really begin. These TH-cam videos don't give enough assistance on knowing how to heal this very painful type of issue.

I've had heel pain for about a month now but I think it's because I hit my heel on the end of my bed really hard when I walk I feel pain feels like it's bruised
I do have this problem...early morning I get pain...but it goes off after few steps if walking..I am able to manage some 3 km of joining every day too...but I feel so irritated..when I wekup in the morning because the pain which starts very severely.

I work in the kitchen and my shoes are super hard/ kitchen shoes are weird, they provide no cushion support- anyways- as after working long hours I was resting on my feet very while I was cutting something- and it was a very lazy way- I was leaning again the counter with my back- and there was a lot of pressure on my one foot, my right one- and I could totally feel something deep happening in my heal I knew right then something was wrong- now after going away for 4 months for education- I still felt that pain especially in the morning- I'm only 25 and my feet are sore like an old ladies-- but I'm gunna talk to the doctor once I get out from work which is Wednesday lol thanks is for listening lol

Ashley Ratt Here's my theory: You probably gained weight. The kitchen is a hot environment and you have been drinking a lot of soda or eating ice cream to cool off. The months of summer are the worst for your feet because of ingesting those things. Try to loose weigh and meanwhile use Crocs shoes with ankle strap. Let me know if it helped.
