Actually, the name e-revo has became a legend years ago and still my number 1 rc car among all other brands and among traxxas, I wish that traxxas never suspends the production of this car, it should last forever, I still prefer the first version shell of it. THUMBS UP 👍
@@jordanoliveto5863 yeah. I'm with ya on that. My big erevo always breaks something. Usually pulls the pivot balls out of the arms. The maxx is indestructible and great fun.
@@jordanoliveto5863 Put limiting straps on the rear and it’ll solve your problem. Same for the comment below yours. Hot Racing makes them in different lengths. I use 90mm, some people like 85. I’ve never had a problem with pulling rod ends or breaking links, nothing. Give it a try if you haven’t already.
Just do what I did, buy it in parts off eBay and build it slowly over time. Just gotta watch the prices on eBay, they’ll fluctuate a bit. I spent around 127 dollars less than buying the Erevo new, from buying it in parts. This includes esc/motor, servo, and radio.
Just got my revo in a huge wreck at 50 mph at the skatepark then this comes out 2 hours after it happend😂 man these are tough cars only screwed an a-arm and wheel got waffled
I just spent a weekend torturing my two 1/16 E-Revo VXLs in a skatepark and only broke front bumper mounts on both in hard nose-dives. Tough little beasts, looking forward to getting their big brother!
@@craiglamb9029 Can you imagine the suspension on a 1/5 scale Revo??? Would def be in a case on its own!!! Traxxas put out alot of money to fight & protect the suspension design, why not use it! LOL!!
I did this with my stampede once and I overshot the half pipe. It went flying off the back of the half pipe and landed upside down but luckily I didn’t break anything
@traxxas let me ask you, would you share a video on exactly how to hook up a camera to get the shots and angles, or is it top secret to show that to us. that would help me and all out in trying to do this our selves. knowing one angle is top center of the car?

The video is kind of misleading to the new guys. Every minute driving in skate park equals at least 10 minutes repares and a lot of money for parts. Just to let overexcited people know.
Guys! New versions of old stuff is getting boring 1/24 scale! Where’s the build your own RC option? Many of your parts are interchangeable. I’d like a summit chassis with erevo tires and the Ford Mustang body. Metal gears and pinion, oils shocks, and Vxl brushless motor please. Made to order? Okay how about a 1/24 scale version of select vehicles? Scale down manufacturing, easier shipping, cost to profit looks good. 220to300 per model or more for a 1/24 scale Xmaxx lol. Versatile Rc for indoor and outdoor is still a huge market. Those 1/64 models are pretty fun too. But I’d pay 300 for a 1/24 scale xmaxx.
What Traxxas won’t tell you is how upgraded this truck is after the fact. I bet you there was a metal spur gear and metal center driveshafts and metal geared servos and metal rear upper chassis brace in there. Oh, and how many toe links were broken here? I have one of these and stock for stock they honestly kinda suck. They’re pretty decent when you throw parts at it but that’s kinda where it stops. Cool video though
We definitely break things... Concrete is especially tuff on these things when you're sending them 20ft up. BUT. This particular day we had 2 e-revos that were Bone Stock. I remember being down twice... once the pinion gear just came lose from the motor... easy fix. And we broke something else, I believe it was an a-arm, but got off pretty lucky with this vid. You definitely have to be ready to repair em if you choose to send them like this.
My Revo lives at the skatepark pretty much. 2 years old and I have replaced the springs, shock oil, some limiting straps and have been through 2 front arms and a bumper. Too many people just air it without knowing how to land it.

I'd say maybe even more then three. If any of these jumps didn't go as planned the A arms would brake or the rods would bend etc. Jumping so high and landing correctly definitely takes some skill (which the driver does have) but even then it is a risk.
@@MEGAPEKLO yeah. Even with skills and proper landings the e revo is not the traxxas Maxx. It doesn’t last long at all. 😂 I love the look of the e revo but I hate how weak it is.
Your on to us! but just 2... and a bag of parts 🤣. But to be fair, we filmed for 7 hours blasting risky transfers with unforgiving concrete landings stuff is bound to go wrong even if you're a skilled driver. Believe it or not, just 1 broken A-Arm, 1 stripped spur gear.
I ran my e-revo 1/10 on a flat location until someone decidet to build house there... im still kinda upset because they kind of ruiened a great locatoin to drive e-revo...😐

With belted tires it’s amazing how fast the revo’s are. I used the fishing line trick on mine and the stability and speed was off the charts.

So epic... I LOVE the first POV backflip shot. I get these giggly lil butterflies in my stomach, its SO Big lol, and such high consequence.

Traxxas models are indeed almost bullet proof. Broke only one a-arm on my 1/16 vxl within 2 years of bashing

Thats a great little truck! I put rpm arms on it and have never broken anything. I Installed them before running it just to be sure

Its sad to say but mine is clapped. You push down the suspension it squeaks and sounds like nails on a chalk board. 2-3 years of dirt and snow.
