As far as the sarcasm part goes, when he calls himself a "heretic" he is doing it in the same way many non-Muslims call themselves "infidels".... an infidel is a "non-believer" to Muslims, and a heretic is likewise a "non-believer" to Christians. When he calls himself a "heretic", he is doing it because he believes the Orthodox conception of heresy is comical in the same way non-Muslims believe their status as "infidels" is comical. Ultimately, he doesn't respect the Orthodox conception of heresy, so the term when applied via the Orthodox understanding fundamentally doesn't matter to him.

The Trinity is not belief in three gods. There is only one God, and we must never stray from this. This one God exists as three Persons. The three Persons are not each part of God, but are each fully God and equally God. Within God’s one undivided being there is an unfolding into three interpersonal relationships such that there are three Persons. The distinctions within the Godhead are not distinctions of His essence and neither are they something added on to His essence, but they are the unfolding of God’s one, undivided being into three interpersonal relationships such that there are three real Persons. God is not one person who took three consecutive roles. That is the heresy of modalism. The Father did not become the Son and then the Holy Spirit. Instead, there have always been and always will be three distinct persons in the Godhead. The Trinity is not a contradiction because God is not three in the same way that He is one. God is one in essence, three in Person.

Crazy how I found your channel just now. I was born orthodox Christian and struggled a lot with my faith, going back and forth between new age, Protestantism and orthodoxy. I finally went back to orthodoxy for good 3 months ago and been struggling. Today I went to church for my first confession and instead my father told me to read a book, prepare, take my time and write down everything I need to confess and that really discouraged me. I looked up bobby because I used to love him and his vegan videos and wanted to see why he converted because I unfollowed him ages ago when he started posting Muslim content. Ironically, Bobby inadvertently lead me to Orthodox Christianity. I used to watch his vegan videos but he stopped and started doing Islamic content which I’m not interested in. But I recently checked back in to see if he started doing vegan videos again and then I saw you pop up Kyle. I started watching your videos and now I’ve taken an interest in Orthodox Christianity and have been listening to liturgies. I’m currently searching for an Orthodox church home locally. Well Bobby grew up in North Macedonia, or as it was back then, the Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia. Under Tito, churches were heavily regulated and it’s possible his father wasn’t taught that growing up under a communist regime. In communist nations that allow for some freedom of religion, everything religious is heavily censored and watered down by the state. In the state church in China, they ban the teaching of hell for example.
My family's Catholic, most of them don't understand the concept of the trinity either, it's something that just goes in one ear and out the other and is just passively accepted and not given much thought. All of you insinuating that Bobby is a fake and that he wasn't really from an Orthodox Christian background just can't deal with the fact that one of your own became disillusioned, because it disturbs the comfort that Orthodoxy provides... I used to struggle with much spiritual warfare with doubt (most specifically) in Christianity and there were phases, one being much fear that the true religion could be Judaism, and when I overcame that by the grace of God, I struggled with much fear that it could be Islam 🤮. God helped me overcome that! I also did much research in the religion and it is so sad that people believe in that stuff. It also helped me see how AMAZING Christianity really is. If Muslims humbly did their research in Christianity and Islam they would see how much more powerful Christianity is, and how strong the history and evidence is for it. They try denouncing it using one random example and actually taking it out of context acting like they have done all the research. It only proves their ignorance to Christian’s who actually know what they’re talking about. The Quran and the fact that the only “prophet” that came to reveal this religion was just Muhammad- whereas in Christianity we have many many prophets that’s messages all align with one another, just proves Islams weakness. Just like Mormonism and other like it.

For a time I was even very into Daoism. I've done my research, so please don't assume I haven't. That said, it wasn't merely studying religions and arguments in some detached or intellectual way that brought me to Christ (although studying church history and different philosophies were definitely stepping stones, especially learning the explanatory power of Eastern Orthodoxy), but it had more to do with really giving it a try by *living* it. Purify your heart of your egotistical passions, really apply the method of the saints and pray unceasingly, go to a church, etc., it quite literally transforms you! My experiences from other traditions and even my psychedelic experiences many years ago dwarf in comparison to my life now. It has been said that "theology without praxis is the theology of demons" ... So while I am not against research in and of itself, I don't think that is sufficient for coming to have a relationship with or even a correct conception of God. Moreover, one must always be wary of his own presuppositions and biases within his own thought. So often people who research without proper perspective can delude themselves, piecing together what they like or dismissing something based on their own incredulity and ignorance. I share your care for the meaning of life and God, but I think if you purify your heart and look into orthodoxy you will truly not be afraid any longer. Christ has defeated death 🙏

Gnostics believed Jesus was so divine he didn't even have a corporeal body. What is he on about? Some of them even believed in multiple Gods like Marcion. They have such a variety of different sects that it is often hard to pinpoint specifics tbh.
Yea depends on the sect of em. To my knowledge, this was one of the more prevalent grps of them around in the early church. Hence, the writings of some of the apostolic fathers addressing their doctrine.

In their Creed Muslims must profess faith in Muhammad alongside Allah. For us the Church is God, it is the literaly body of the God-man Christ. So submitting to the Church is submitting to God. But Muslims have to submit to a man that proclaims to be prophet to be saved.
I had trouble with the Trinity myself until it was finally explained to me by my Buddhist Teacher. While it’s not exactly correct it sufficed for the time. It’s like three drops of oil, they incorporate and come together but aren’t completely the same but from the same material. Again, the guy who converted me to Christianity was a Buddhist and he specifically told me Orthodoxy.

Yes sometimes it is very challenging to cure blind faith in which you are in. Look into the Bibel and into roman archieves, you will see the difference between the teachings of Jesus and Pauls dogma.

It doesn't help within America where there are many pseudo-Christian religious groups or cults that outright deny the Trinity and Christ's co-essence with the Father like the Jehovah Witnesses, Mormons, and various other churches. I've seen quite a few American preachers and self-proclaimed teachers commonly advocate types of Arianism and Sabellianism in how they conceive God.

You might want to learn the history of the time period since it is very interesting, but Greek was the lingua franca of the Mediterranean. However Jesus would have been speaking Hebrew or the Aramaic at the time. It does make sense, and it isn’t a bad translation. How would you describe yourself to a desert tribesman in 1000 bc if you were a totalizing God which preceded all things, for whom existence was a core attribute, and from whom all other things which exist emanate? You might say. “I am the beginning and the end, I am the first and the last, alpha and omega, through me all things were made.” Or you might simply state “I am that I am”. Hebrew the phrase “I am that I am” is apparently “ehye aser ehye” which is interesting because it can also translate to I am who I am, I am what I am, or I am who exists. What’s important about this is that Jesus is clearly quoting god’s self description by referring to his status as an uncreated being, when only God is uncreated. This might all seem confusing if you don’t understand the Bible, but it’s perfectly clear. Evidently the Rabbis he was mincing words with were also perfectly clear in what he said because they took up stones and and tried to kill him.
I don't know if he became a Muslim. But I remember of a video of him saying he became a Christian after Christ appeared to him on a mushroom trip and showed him Hell, which it is an amazing testimony. I'm very sad if he had the honour of having that experience and still now rejected Christ. If you don't pray regularly, you will abandon your faith in Christ. We can only pray for him and hope for the best. And the trinity is not even that complicated to understand.

I would love to hear your take on his view about how Jesus the Man, the Messiah in the first Gospel i.e. Mark is turned into something else by Mathew, Luke and John the later Gospels. The Trinity is an invented concept and makes absolutely no sense.

As far as the sarcasm part goes, when he calls himself a "heretic" he is doing it in the same way many non-Muslims call themselves "infidels".... an infidel is a "non-believer" to Muslims, and a heretic is likewise a "non-believer" to Christians. When he calls himself a "heretic", he is doing it because he believes the Orthodox conception of heresy is comical in the same way non-Muslims believe their status as "infidels" is comical. Ultimately, he doesn't respect the Orthodox conception of heresy, so the term when applied via the Orthodox understanding fundamentally doesn't matter to him.

The fact that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are distinct Persons means, in other words, that the Father is not the Son, the Son is not the Holy Spirit, and the Holy Spirit is not the Father. Jesus is God, but He is not the Father or the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is God, but He is not the Son or the Father. They are different Persons, not three different ways of looking at God.
The personhood of each member of the Trinity means that each Person has a distinct center of consciousness. Thus, they relate to each other personally - the Father regards Himself as “I,” while He regards the Son and Holy Spirit as “You.” Likewise the Son regards Himself as “I,” but the Father and the Holy Spirit as “You.”
Often it is objected that “If Jesus is God, then he must have prayed to himself while he was on earth.” But the answer to this objection lies in simply applying what we have already seen. While Jesus and the Father are both God, they are different Persons. Thus, Jesus prayed to God the Father without praying to Himself. In fact, it is precisely the continuing dialogue between the Father and the Son (Matthew 3:17; 17:5; John 5:19; 11:41-42; 17:1ff ) which furnishes the best evidence that they are distinct Persons with distinct centers of consciousness.
Sometimes the Personhood of the Father and Son is appreciated, but the Personhood of the Holy Spirit is neglected. Sometimes the Spirit is treated more like a “force” than a Person. But the Holy Spirit is not an it, but a He (see John 14:26; 16:7-15; Acts 8:16). The fact that the Holy Spirit is a Person, not an impersonal force (like gravity), is also shown by the fact that He speaks (Hebrews 3:7), reasons (Acts 15:28), thinks and understands (1 Corinthians 2:10-11), wills (1 Corinthians 12:11), feels (Ephesians 4:30), and gives personal fellowship (2 Corinthians 13:14).
These are all qualities of personhood. In addition to these texts, the others we mentioned above make clear that the Personhood of the Holy Spirit is distinct from the Personhood of the Son and the Father. They are three real persons, not three roles God plays.
Another serious error people have made is to think that the Father became the Son, who then became the Holy Spirit. Contrary to this, the passages we have seen imply that God always was and always will be three Persons. There was never a time when one of the Persons of the Godhead did not exist. They are all eternal.
While the three members of the Trinity are distinct, this does not mean that any is inferior to the other. Instead, they are all identical in attributes. They are equal in power, love, mercy, justice, holiness, knowledge, and all other qualities.

Obviously we cannot, for Scripture is clear that there is only one God: “There is no other God besides me, a righteous God and a Savior; there is none besides me. Turn to me and be saved, all the ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other” (Isaiah 45:21-22; see also 44:6-8; Exodus 15:11; Deuteronomy 4:35; 6:4-5; 32:39; 1 Samuel 2:2; 1 Kings 8:60).
Having seen that the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are distinct Persons, that they are each fully God, and that there is nonetheless only one God, we must conclude that all three Persons are the same God. In other words, there is one God who exists as three distinct Persons.
If there is one passage which most clearly brings all of this together, it is Matthew 28:19: “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.” First, notice that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are distinguished as distinct Persons. We baptize into the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.
Second, notice that each Person must be deity because they are all placed on the same level. In fact, would Jesus have us baptize in the name of a mere creature? Surely not. Therefore each of the Persons into whose name we are to be baptized must be deity.
Third, notice that although the three divine Persons are distinct, we are baptized into their name (singular), not names (plural). The three Persons are distinct, yet only constitute one name. This can only be if they share one essence.

I was born orthodox Christian and struggled a lot with my faith, going back and forth between new age, Protestantism and orthodoxy. I finally went back to orthodoxy for good 3 months ago and been struggling. Today I went to church for my first confession and instead my father told me to read a book, prepare, take my time and write down everything I need to confess and that really discouraged me.
I looked up bobby because I used to love him and his vegan videos and wanted to see why he converted because I unfollowed him ages ago when he started posting Muslim content.

Well Bobby grew up in North Macedonia, or as it was back then, the Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia. Under Tito, churches were heavily regulated and it’s possible his father wasn’t taught that growing up under a communist regime.
In communist nations that allow for some freedom of religion, everything religious is heavily censored and watered down by the state. In the state church in China, they ban the teaching of hell for example.
My family's Catholic, most of them don't understand the concept of the trinity either, it's something that just goes in one ear and out the other and is just passively accepted and not given much thought. All of you insinuating that Bobby is a fake and that he wasn't really from an Orthodox Christian background just can't deal with the fact that one of your own became disillusioned, because it disturbs the comfort that Orthodoxy provides... Well done!! I used to struggle with much spiritual warfare with doubt (most specifically) in Christianity and there were phases, one being much fear that the true religion could be Judaism, and when I overcame that by the grace of God, I struggled with much fear that it could be Islam 🤮. God helped me overcome that! I also did much research in the religion and it is so sad that people believe in that stuff. It also helped me see how AMAZING Christianity really is. If Muslims humbly did their research in Christianity and Islam they would see how much more powerful Christianity is, and how strong the history and evidence is for it. They try denouncing it using one random example and actually taking it out of context acting like they have done all the research. It only proves their ignorance to Christian’s who actually know what they’re talking about. The Quran and the fact that the only “prophet” that came to reveal this religion was just Muhammad- whereas in Christianity we have many many prophets that’s messages all align with one another, just proves Islams weakness. Just like Mormonism and other like it.

Anyways, I appreciate the reply and the genuine question. So I'll try to give it a real answer. I was an atheist for the majority of my life. I explored various traditions. For a time I was even very into Daoism. I've done my research, so please don't assume I haven't. That said, it wasn't merely studying religions and arguments in some detached or intellectual way that brought me to Christ (although studying church history and different philosophies were definitely stepping stones, especially learning the explanatory power of Eastern Orthodoxy), but it had more to do with really giving it a try by *living* it. Purify your heart of your egotistical passions, really apply the method of the saints and pray unceasingly, go to a church, etc., it quite literally transforms you! My experiences from other traditions and even my psychedelic experiences many years ago dwarf in comparison to my life now. It has been said that "theology without praxis is the theology of demons" ... So while I am not against research in and of itself, I don't think that is sufficient for coming to have a relationship with or even a correct conception of God. Moreover, one must always be wary of his own presuppositions and biases within his own thought. So often people who research without proper perspective can delude themselves, piecing together what they like or dismissing something based on their own incredulity and ignorance. I share your care for the meaning of life and God, but I think if you purify your heart and look into orthodoxy you will truly not be afraid any longer. Christ has defeated death 🙏

But you also mentioned that you don't believe that research can help you find the Creator, That in itself should be a major red flag! He created you! Humans don't make mistakes, The Creator of the meaning of "S E N S I C A L" makes perfect sense and is flawless, so researching about the Master Creator with reason and logic is IMPERATIVE. If you don't use them, then falsehood has a chance of corrupting the heart. In finding orthodoxy christianity, you haven't named not one thing that can prove christianity to be true. See, the reason why i pointed this out is that we can't both be right, and i don't mean just Islam and Christianity, but also Judaism, Buddhism, and Hinduism, or any other religion (atheism is also religion btw) for that matter. In the end, when death arrives, only one can wait for Judgment Day in peace. On Judgment Day, one will be satisfied, and the others will feel great regret. That's just reality. You also mentioned in the last statement that Jesus(PBUH) "defeated death", that sounds good, but how? And if you mean that, he resurrected, i got proof he didn't, from none Muslims (meaning unbiased research). Please feel free to ask everything you want about Islam (what proof? Why Islam? Etc). I was very much into the philosopher Alfred North Whitehead and panentheism, for example. So you misunderstood me. What I was saying is that just thinking isn't sufficient to have a relationship with God or even a proper conception of him, which requires praxis and acknowledging revelation. I had trouble with the Trinity myself until it was finally explained to me by my Buddhist Teacher. While it’s not exactly correct it sufficed for the time. It’s like three drops of oil, they incorporate and come together but aren’t completely the same but from the same material.
Again, the guy who converted me to Christianity was a Buddhist and he specifically told me Orthodoxy.

I'm very sad if he had the honour of having that experience and still now rejected Christ. If you don't pray regularly, you will abandon your faith in Christ. We can only pray for him and hope for the best. And the trinity is not even that complicated to understand.
