I really prefer when you guys do this type of content. I’ll wager that most of your subscribers can’t afford a Raptor or a Rubicon. I know I can’t. I like to see these realistic options out on the trail. An older vehicle with proper tires, a moderate lift a an after market locker is doable for us regular people. And scraping a hitch is no big deal. I like Nathan’s attitude...it’s fine.

I'm a Dodge guy, but I cant help but notice how good that K1500 looks. Brings back memories of the '94 I used to own. If Andre's truck had the 350 instead of the 305, I'd be hard-pressed to decide which of the two trucks I'd want. I'd love to find a rust-free example of either one of the trucks - they are practically non-existent where I live, at least in that sort of condition.

Roman's Ford missed the line that the Chevy and Dodge took, otherwise it might have hit on that breakover. Even thought the Chevy is the lowest truck the approach angle is pretty good, also I would rather drag my frame than smacking something else that hangs below the frame as is the case with many new trucks, and that rear hitch shielded the body work pretty well. In any case any of these trucks would outdo their new counterparts.

The old Chevy made it down, it is amazing how much the new and old model Silverado seem similar in body style, and Tommy the Wrangler is awesome, but even it can get stuck up.

The dodge was ahead of its time. 2nd Gen came out in 94 so it shared some years with that Chevy. imo its withstood the test of time way better. It doesn’t seem as old and had some nice tech for its time

They both look really good, I'm a bigger fan of the chevy because they always stuck with the classic square look and this truck looks clean as hell... But the dodge I can appreciate as well because it looks like a 2010 truck

@@fathermush7404 yeah so sad that it’s not appreciated as much as it could be. I totally agree it feels so much newer than it’s age. Understandable that 90s Chevys are more iconic just wish the second Gen would get the credit it deserves. My family owned both trucks and I loved them both I just liked the Dodge a little more😂

That kind of sucked you guys. Going down is easy. Should've tried going up! That era Chev/GM is bulletproof. I wouldn't touch the Ford with the 3 valve. I'd take that Dodge in a heartbeat for a off roader. D44 front/9.75 rear, 318 V8. Perfect base platform.
