This is a fun, engaging interview. Bill holds his own. It would have been nice had Dave approached left leaning guests the same way, because it's actually fun to watch. And if people would actually listen to it, they'd hear O'Reilly say he doesn't like Cheney, thinks Bush will be remembered as a lower tier president, etc. But they just can't get out of their damn tribal mindsets.

You don't have to like Bill but he he has a reasonable opinion and he will engage and defend his views. If you listened they actually agreed on some points. I would rather know where a man stands than listen to some politicians hemming and hawing. Good exchange.
Dave always loved a forum to air his political peeves. O’Reilly was a good shooting-gallery duck when it came to stuff like that, but he gave Dave a run for his money. Bill Clinton was an interesting guest as well for a deep political exchange, and there was a lot less friction due to a common liberal ideology.
Bill O’Reilly reminds me of George W. Bush - seemed like the worst thing ever, and the it got worse. So, once the whole scale of horrible changed, they seemed like actual humans.

it's weird when Paul's wearing a suit. I'm reminded by it that he's an Order of Canada recipient which fills me with national pride but makes me pity Dave for he's not eligible. If I was Governor General I would make Dave an honorary citizen so that he can feel included.
Dave's obvious distaste for O'Reilly and the bias of his interviews with him is what made me stop watching Late Night back in the early 2000s. I never came back, although now I do click on some of his earlier YT videos.
Dave should have been the cult of personality that we made President. IMO, we all knew both side were kind of Incahoots with big banking, big pharma and the military industry complex.. I still like Ike
Very sharp interview, glad I clicked. Dave comes out hot with both barrels, but O'Reilly doesn't take it personal and stays in the fight.
I don’t care for Bill but what a good sport of a guest on Letterman.
The part where Bill o'reilly told Dave, "wait for history to unfold", regarding president Bush... That really aged like fine wine.
