its probably because the ADAC had rented the track for the day to do cornering practice and the dude took the opportunity to do his speedrun. They have the cones there to teach proper lines. And since he was using proper lines anyway the cones were no issue.
You rarely see a lap where there's little or no other traffic. Without the rider having to adjust his line to pass slower vehicles you can really appreciate just how smooth he is. Absolutely awesome! To use a cliche, poetry in motion!
They closed the corse for this parade lap. He hit 1 apex. Thats it. The rest of the time he was trying not to dump it because he was late into the turn. This was an embarrassing run.
I actually love the gyro camera,it's so difficult to get perspective of counter steering, throttle position, lean angle etc, from a helm t cam/bolt-on under the bubble. This gives you a heap more appreciation of what rider had to line up for

He's blipping the throttle to match revs on the down shifts. This let's you be real fast on and off the clutch without upsetting the chassis. Pretty much a required skill if you want to bang down gears fast without a fancy up-and-down quick-shifter. A slipper clutch kinda lets you get away with not doing it, but it's still much smoother to rev match. Plus it's fun.
Also what he said. It's a part of your brake balance front/rear. Downshifting to hold the revs near the top of the tack is supplying a lot of 'braking' force to the rear wheel. I love how one is always doing like 5 things simultaneously when riding around bends. That little bit more engaging than driving.
He's rev matching as he's coming into a corner, so the method is break, down shift most of the time 2 or 3 gears and you have to rev match to keep it smooth, so he revs it. He's not doing it for fun, it's so he can enter a turn at a way faster speed and slow down for the turn as fast as possible.
Chest mounted cam my ass. That is a gyroscopic camera. If you look closely you will see that the bugs on the front protective glass of the cam follow the movement of the bike, while the camera does not.If it were indeed positioned on the rider, it would deviate to the left of the gas tank on left-hand turns and to the right on right-hand turns.
I also cant see how it is chest mounted. When you ride a bike your body does not stay at a constant level vertical to the bike and especially when you are riding at those speed because you sit up and use your body as an air brake. It would also lean and move with the rider. To get round those corners you would move your backside to one or the other side of the seat. To my mind it has to be mounted on the tank and for it to stay level and not lean with the bike it has to be gyroscopic. Happy to be corrected but it just doesn't make sense to be chest mounted

I'm sure they go around the track many times at a slower pace to learn the track before going full out... otherwise people would be dying every day... Check out the Isle of Man TT if you wanna see some crazy shit
Df4gc Yes, they do remember all those corners. Seeing as you've been to IoMTT (very nice btw, I went to UlsterGP last year, which is awesome as well), you must know that those guys remember everything. How else can they have such insane laptimes? They know every apex of every corner, they know every bump round the track. The only thing they do not know is the weather on the other side of the track. Guys like McGuinness, the Dunlops and Martin al say it takes at least 3 years to learn the track, so while difficult, not impossible. The Nordschleiffe will probably be a bit easier to learn than IoMTT, but still very difficult.
+glynn powell a speed wobble occurs because of the front tire (like if you wheelie and come down uneven), that was him locking up the rear from too aggressive engine braking
DaCensored i honestly don't know have you any data about it and even so could it be some kind of surprise on the track even when balance and power maby speak against it because i also never thought that a nissan gtr could be so heavy and still that fast on a track so maybe this bike will also have that kind of surprise
GREAT LAP,I learnt the track on a ps2 game (I must of spent 6 months solid learning it) then I went out in 2007 on my zx6r and my first ever lap I went round in 8.55 not too shabby I thought...I will say though the game didn't teach me about the undulations and bumps etc fantastic place though and stunning scenery too, god bless the Germans.
People talk about how good this guy is, but just think of the sheer amount of riding training he had to do just to get to this point. That is just as much unbelievable.

I'm sure they go around the track many times at a slower pace to learn the track before going full out... otherwise people would be dying every day... Check out the Isle of Man TT if you wanna see some crazy shit
Alex, I was on the Isle....
Respect !
I would like to thank the insects for their sacrifice in the making of this video......
Just too perfect. Absolutely bonkers. :D
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👌👌👌
well done fella I enjoyed that 👍👍👍👍.
4:39 looks like he damn near slipped into a speed wobble there
+glynn powell 😬👍🏻
+glynn powell Probably would have if there wasn't a steering dampener.
Think it was just his back tire loosing traction from too much brakes and/or engine braking...
+glynn powell a speed wobble occurs because of the front tire (like if you wheelie and come down uneven), that was him locking up the rear from too aggressive engine braking
aahhh that makes perfect sense.. it seemed to scare him haha. he hesitates after that bit
THAT! was truly something!
+Nick Roe You are Welcome
Watching this reminds me of how wreckless I used to ride before I wisely chose to sell my bike.....I still miss it though! Maybe I’m crazy 😁🤣
You're an amazing rider, Tim!
One of my favorite vid's! Ridin like a BOSS!!
+Scooterider1 Zachary Philip Freeman - Epic Cinema ..blz browww
it would be nice to see you doing the run on the new Kawasaki Ninja H2R 300hp :)
It will be Awesome ... You are Welcome
that's too much power for a track bike and it's not well balanced.
DaCensored i honestly don't know have you any data about it and even so could it be some kind of surprise on the track even when balance and power maby speak against it
because i also never thought that a nissan gtr could be so heavy and still that fast on a track so maybe this bike will also have that kind of surprise
well but speed and acceleration has nothing to do with weight and cornering capability of a bike but who knows, it may work out :)
DaCensored yep it could be a surprise like the Nissan GTR when it comes to cornering braking and handling
Girl: Would you like to come to our house?
Boy: I don't want
Girl: I'm home alone
Boy: 1:57
Like a Boss! Its awesome to sit back and watch on full screen. Thanks for the ride ^^
That's bad ass
This is how I go to work everyday...I love my Fiat Multipla ::))
When the revs goes to high/max RPMS it sounds like a warp drive engine.
Batlax from Bridgestone is the best,I driven this Pneu on a RD 350 YPVS with 63 HP,the tire save my life 👍Nice Ride, nice Bike 👌
Chuck Norris called, he want's his balls back.
Don't use HIS name in such a lame show
7:10 minutes in the red zone !!
People talk about how good this guy is, but just think of the sheer amount of riding training he had to do just to get to this point. That is just as much unbelievable.
3:38 there is a pylon on the track. Kinda scary.
Going through the compression at what 250kph would feel so sketchy
2011: nah...

That was amazing!!! I thought he was going to fly off the track after that first corkscrew at 2:02...that blind hill in 5th gear is scary
You are Welcome .... I'm very happy You Enjoy
Pros like this always make it look easy. Lots of experience sitting on this bike's seat.
This is cheating. Clearly Tim Röthig is no man, but a fully modded race bot!
+JustinWebPro 😂😂😂👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
great track knowledge
One hell of a bike and one crazy driver.lol😎
Love how any opertunity to breath is replaced with WHEELIE TIME
