Terry hearn? Alan blair? Martin bowler? Matt Hayes? Oli Davis? Frank Warwick? Kevin nash? There's alot of good anglers out there who are very watchable too. Il always give them a watch and if I don't like the way they come across il be on to the next one. Watching only 1 person as good as Adam is ... surely that's gotta be boring
I've kept maggots up to 4 week by suffocating them. Squeeze all the air out, pop em in the freezer for 20 mins, and then put them in the bottom of the fridge. I was surprised how well they kept
Absolutely love Mr Pennings thoughts and advice. Honed over year's, no BS, just great, no nonsense information. Keep up the great work Adam, really enjoying this series
Just starting carp fishing and your knowledge and experience is invaluable, not only for catching carp but buying the correct equipment. Thank you Adam keep them coming. Keep safe and have a good 2021.
Really enjoyed that, as a lot of folk have already said down to earth common sense. I always love it if a video gives me at least one take away...this has given me loads :)
Been out of fishing for a while and the past couple of months have regained the love… i could listen to Adam all day long! Has been and always will be my fav fisherman, a true living legend
Great video your knowledge is not only so large very interesting and entertaining to watch but also reminds me of how much there is to learn I wish school had been this much fun learning keep them coming
Need more of these 100% adam penning speaks a lot of sense no bullshit thoroughly enjoyed that and all the others he's done over the last few month great vid 👍😀👌🏻👏
Top man!!!! I’ve always enjoyed the professional way he presents his angling!!!! I’d love to fish with him,a wealth of knowledge and let’s face it,his captures speak for themselves!!!! Great stuff Adam, keep em coming 👍
Really enjoyed that! Total respect for Adam, and appreciate the thoughts, tried and tested ideas, definitely love the Bailey's! Tight lines and Happy New Year all, Tight lines 🎣
When I saw that sausage on the heli rig.. there's no reason that can't be used at other times of year?! And the Baileys! My god drunk carp must be easier to catch haha
I fish on a wild lake, a very challenging lake, it acts like a drug on you:)), huge in surface area, lake with many structures, a lot of shells that cut your fishing lines, crystal clear water, low density of carp, very difficult lake of fishing where the carp migrate from one place to another, a lake with a lot of raptor fish, I am still waiting to see carp fishing documentaries on wild lakes, thank you Mr. Pennings for the explanations
I tell Any young carp anglers out there watch this series by adam and CARPology just good old solid honest content they have been a joy to watch and everyone can pick a gem up from them thanks adam and ology for the series
Took inspiration from this and after a couple of winter blanks I caught, only one fish from a day session but a result. I went with a size 10 of my favourite hook pattern along with a 4" 12lb braided hook link and small pva sticks filled with the above ingredients. I think the advice of scaling down is probably what I needed to do as i think i had become complacent and slightly lazy. Just a tip that I found worked as this was the rig I caught on is once the loop of the hair is pulled through the bait and a bait stop added you can thread a short length of mono, I used mouth trap , through the loop. If you cut this to a point you can thread on maggots on either end and then heat blob the ends to stop the maggots from coming off, might not be the best tip but it means on the wrong rig it's an option for a quick set up. Just be aware that the more maggots added means the longer the mono needs to be, this could work for or against as it would become difficult to eject but also possibly difficult to suck in? Anyway I added 2 on either side which keeps the mono short and no bigger than the 10mm hook bait I used. Hope this helps
I remember in the 70s I would regularly walk down a path on a side-cut from the River Thames and would look into the water only ever seeing tons of small fish. One day I was amazed because someone had thrown a full roast dinner into the river and it had spread out a little bit. Potatoes, peas, etc. There was a swarm of massive fish of several species going nuts around it. I watched and they all started feeding at the same time, and the food rapidly disappeared and the fish dispersed.
Fkn love this! Bailey's and condensed milk on the bank! Will defo be taking this tip with me at the weekend and have also been turned on to maggots recently. Reminds me when I first started fishing in the 80's when boilies weren't even a thing. Works really well when carp are looking for sweet tasting, more natural looking bait. A big lump of wrigglies on top of half a yellow or white pop-up is killer in the cold water. This combo with the sticky, boozy liquid really is a differentiator and that's what we are all looking for when we're fishing a busy lake. Great video Adam!
With over 13,000 subscribers myself and over 1000 vids. I know what you mean! lol. I subscribe to very few but as mentioned found your no nonsense, friendly and informed advanced advice very helpful. If you ever fancy trying the French carp in summer at my place in the Creuse, France contact me! Once all this madness is over re Brexit and virus!
I like the idea for simplicity. The one thing of concern would be when you hook a fish the lead bouncing around on piece of link material while playing fish.
What a legend love all your stuff one of the best anglers out there in my opinion not shy to share his vast knowledge of carp fishing also bank side knowledge deffo gave me an edge this winter as landed 20lb mirror of lake that's not done a fish since October top man 👍
thanks adam have gone a long time blanking but used the depth charge set up and it worked ! used your ground bait recipe and boy did it work 19lb mirror which was my PB mirror and I lost two
Loving your tactics and videos Adam, tried the new rig a few weeks back. Works really well for casting and quick changing the bags. On first cast I accidentally cast past a small island 90 yards away and lost the lot.....so it really does fly through the air well. Have a great new year all 👍
We used to use a lot of maggots in the 80s in the start of the 80s we used up scaled match tactics for big carp caught loads.Started using zigs in 81 when they were obviously not called zigs my mates thought I was nuts because no one used them now seems everyone does and with maggots bagged up.
Thank you Adam found that very inspirational, have done well on bells whiskey,Captain Morgan’s rum as well as the baileys say 30 baits in a pot and drizzle whiskey etc over them let it soak in and away you go best wishes and a happy new year.
Ah man this is wholesome fishing content! Thanks for sharing. Adam spoke of a lot of things in the way in which I would myself, which for a man of severe self-doubt is an extreme confidence booster. Now where's that baileys...
Great video look forward to the next how long do you make the rig boom on your depth charge set up and what material do you use for the boom from leader to hook thank you
Brilliant! Always such a great watch..cheers Adam. And using the bag that way, well impressed with that and will be using that’s for sure. Used a laser for years,I call it The Hand of God😉
Funny you mention khaluah...spelling...my pb common fell to source boilies soaked in whiskey and the afore mentioned end of Autumn 2 years ago also use bailies but the carp get nowhere near as much as I do lol😂...goes well with scopex liquid.👌
Dear Mr. Penning! Best wishes and good health for 2021! Great video! Thank you for sharing! May I ask how long after the session you can keep left overovers from the amazing mix? And do you need to store it in the freezer? Carpy greetings from the Netherlands
I've been carp fishing for nearly 4 decades and Adam's the only person I watch,
He talks a lot of sense and comes across really well
frank warwick? steve briggs?
35 yrs for me, and I find him so watchable and knowledgeable, reminds me a bit of John Wilson in his early Gone Fishing vids.
Absolutely agree with you on that
Agree, used to love his thinking tackle episodes more than the others. Met him once at a carp show and what a legend (like a lot of others).
Terry hearn?
Alan blair?
Martin bowler?
Matt Hayes?
Oli Davis?
Frank Warwick?
Kevin nash?
There's alot of good anglers out there who are very watchable too. Il always give them a watch and if I don't like the way they come across il be on to the next one. Watching only 1 person as good as Adam is ... surely that's gotta be boring
Could listen to Mr penning all day 👌
Could we have him drinking the krill liquid on the next vid👍
The man is a legend! True talk and no selling of bait or tackle! 9 thumbs down wow. 1 of the best chats in a while 👍👍👍
The man is a Carp Legend never ever makes a dull video packed with info and tips well done Mr P 👏👏🎣
Need more of this. CARPology and Adam putting out loads of no bullshit videos, not some 1hour sales pitch
Guess he’s not pushing JRC or STICKY
@@martind6838 I'd argue that he's not as upfront with his affiliation and said you can use whatever bait your comfortable with and it will work
Definitely true. This is way nicer to look. Not like how Nash, Korda it do. New this, new that.
Mr penning is a legend ...full support from Greece 🇬🇷🇬🇷
I cant think of anyone else I could watch an hour long video of and not get bored
Drinks his bait and reads the thesaurus. Guys a legend 😂😂
Lol yes I agree. And he knows his job 🎣🐟💪🕺
Didn’t eat the maggots though!
Lol was thinking did he swallow a dictionary before filming
Nice lad on a personal level. Used to chat with him on Twitter.
Caught on a chocolate stout mixed in to sweet manilla
I've kept maggots up to 4 week by suffocating them.
Squeeze all the air out, pop em in the freezer for 20 mins, and then put them in the bottom of the fridge.
I was surprised how well they kept
Keep these vids coming 🔥🔥🔥
Absolutely love Mr Pennings thoughts and advice.
Honed over year's, no BS, just great, no nonsense information.
Keep up the great work Adam, really enjoying this series
Just starting carp fishing and your knowledge and experience is invaluable, not only for catching carp but buying the correct equipment. Thank you Adam keep them coming. Keep safe and have a good 2021.
Thanks Adam for this series. It’s saved for watching back. Much appreciated. Tight lines in 2021. 👍🏻
Well explained, intelligent angling shared with the masses. Cheers Adam. Mint.
After listening to this I am going to change my tactics on a particular 'hard' lake, thank you for these 'pearls of wisdom'
Absolutely brilliant! Mind opening video. I've watched them all. Thanks Adam
Really enjoyed that, as a lot of folk have already said down to earth common sense. I always love it if a video gives me at least one take away...this has given me loads :)
This is man it's simply incredible, very smart and such a great teacher and in the same time funny and not boring. :)
Been out of fishing for a while and the past couple of months have regained the love… i could listen to Adam all day long! Has been and always will be my fav fisherman, a true living legend
Absolutely brilliant as always. Thank you
Great video your knowledge is not only so large very interesting and entertaining to watch but also reminds me of how much there is to learn I wish school had been this much fun learning keep them coming
Throughly enjoyed every minute of this series, so much knowledge and a pleasure to listen to. Top chap.

Top video again Adam , listening to you is such a pleasure ! Only information not a sales video 👍
Quality real content as always. As other people have said, no sales pitch, just sharing his years of experience 👍
One of the top carp anglers out there, nothing to complexed.
Thank you Thank you Thank you, another top notch bit of advice and sensible information. I would love to have a session with him on the bank.🎣🎣🎣
Really enjoyed that! Total respect for Adam, and appreciate the thoughts, tried and tested ideas, definitely love the Bailey's!
Tight lines and Happy New Year all, Tight lines 🎣
Caught my 1st winter carp using this technique thanks for the insight please keep the video coming loving the pva setup
When I saw that sausage on the heli rig.. there's no reason that can't be used at other times of year?! And the Baileys! My god drunk carp must be easier to catch haha
The drunk carp did it for me 🤣🤣🤣👌😜
Use Irish ☘️ Cream from Lidl it a third of the price same recipe !
good shout - personally I wouldnt drink it but great for a bait additive
think you will find one is made with whiskey, the other with wine.
Brilliant video from Adam as always. Cheers
Another great video from Adam, thank you Carpology for this.
Always talks sense Adam you always give people something to think about and too learn from all the best mate 👍👍
great insight 👍,picked up a few snippets to add thanks 🙂,tight lines
Struggling today, very few bites.
Until I swapped to a Bailey soaked wafter.
It does work.

Super tips, Adam. Keep them coming, buddy...
Top Man, Thanks & Tight lines
Thanks Adam. Good stuff indeed as a newbie blanking (so far) through his first winter.
Another superb video Adam, more, more more plz :)
I like the idea for simplicity. The one thing of concern would be when you hook a fish the lead bouncing around on piece of link material while playing fish.
Fantastic watch 👍
What a legend love all your stuff one of the best anglers out there in my opinion not shy to share his vast knowledge of carp fishing also bank side knowledge deffo gave me an edge this winter as landed 20lb mirror of lake that's not done a fish since October top man 👍

great watch at last some honesty from a top bloke
thanks adam have gone a long time blanking but used the depth charge set up and it worked ! used your ground bait recipe and boy did it work 19lb mirror which was my PB mirror and I lost two
Torpid- sluggish or inactive. Thanks Adz, not only a carp lesson I’m also learning new words too 👍
Decent guy. No bull. Its rare i learn owt watching these vids. But i may give that pva set up go. Cheers Adam.
Great video Adam as usual, lots of useful information that’s been tried and tested, cheers mate can’t wait for the next one.
Aiming for a session in early november here in sweden, looks like I'm bringing two bottles of Baileys, thanks for great content Adam!

Absolutely fantastic information from one of the top angler's in country regards Adam top knowledge 👏 👌 👍 al best from old fart Lee 😀 👍
Great watch. Interesting content 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Some brilliant tactics and methods, very similar to what i have been doing over the winter months with good results.
Adam, my No. 1 👍
Enjoyed that.. some good info there!!
Loving your tactics and videos Adam, tried the new rig a few weeks back. Works really well for casting and quick changing the bags. On first cast I accidentally cast past a small island 90 yards away and lost the lot.....so it really does fly through the air well. Have a great new year all 👍
Interesting liquids😅 great video with a lot of useful information and not commercial bullshit. Love it.
We used to use a lot of maggots in the 80s in the start of the 80s we used up scaled match tactics for big carp caught loads.Started using zigs in 81 when they were obviously not called zigs my mates thought I was nuts because no one used them now seems everyone does and with maggots bagged up.
Awesome video, really interesting - I’m not sure I could use baileys as I love the stuff 😂 great video 👍🏼
Funny guy! Great update!
fantastic adam . rember the wiskey boilies .
Top class as usual! 👍👍👍
Great content! Thanks a lot! Gtx from the Netherlands!
Great vid 👍👍👍🏴🎯
Class vid m8. Really good info. Respect to ya
Thanks 🙏👍🙏
Great watch, That baileys glue, can it be pre made before a trip?
Maybe that's why carp love tiger nut as when the ferment and swell they get a bit alcohol
Gonna try this at the weekend
Thank you Adam found that very inspirational, have done well on bells whiskey,Captain Morgan’s rum as well as the baileys say 30 baits in a pot and drizzle whiskey etc over them let it soak in and away you go best wishes and a happy new year.
Thank you
Sound advice 👊
Fantastic stuff but How to avoid Perch with all those maggots??
Ah man this is wholesome fishing content! Thanks for sharing. Adam spoke of a lot of things in the way in which I would myself, which for a man of severe self-doubt is an extreme confidence booster.
Now where's that baileys...
Hi great stuff when is part 3 out?
I think the alcohol works well as it makes oils more soluble in water. Good videos lots to think about there.
Love this geeza
Can you prepare the liquid part of the mix in advance and just add it to the mix on the bank?
Superb video, thank you. Would this approach work well in early spring?
Great video look forward to the next how long do you make the rig boom on your depth charge set up and what material do you use for the boom from leader to hook thank you
Just found this channel
Nice 1 fella
Proppa down to Earth Gezza Oldschool knowledge
Brilliant! Always such a great watch..cheers Adam. And using the bag that way, well impressed with that and will be using that’s for sure. Used a laser for years,I call it The Hand of God😉
This might be a stupid question but I'm fairly new to the Carp fishing scene. Is there a particular Laser pen you should use or not use 🤔😅 thank you 🙏
Funny you mention khaluah...spelling...my pb common fell to source boilies soaked in whiskey and the afore mentioned end of Autumn 2 years ago also use bailies but the carp get nowhere near as much as I do lol😂...goes well with scopex liquid.👌
