    There are alot of carp anglers I like to watch but this man is something else 🤝, easiest to watch and the most informative and knowledgeable by far in my opinion, love it when a new Adam Penning video comes out 🙂

      Really enjoyed your video and knowledge on carping, I’ll definitely be using the boilie triangle this year. Just booked my first 32 hour session of the year on March 18/19. I will upload videos to my channel. Looking at fishing the canal until then see if I can bag a nice pike. 👍

      Me to ! And Adam's right in saying it's forgotten about . I got asked by a Bayliff how I was approaching the lake and I told him and he said what's that !!

    Social media is a bad thing for all fisherman. Not just carp fisherman. If you are a pleasure fisherman and don't have a membership and you have to use day ticket lakes they are usually hammered alot. So looking and using your ears. And paying attention is vital.

    Last weekend my lad moved down to where there were fish after seeing them , was a bitterly cold day but they were in 3ft of clear water in a small river inlet area, pristine 19.7 common came to a 1ft zig within 20mins of going in, prettty certain it saved him a blank, if you've gotta move, you've gotta move.

    I Recently Did a Day session on my local Park lake and I kept in the same spot untill around 1pm when I Decided to move and it was literally around 3 pegs away and after around 2 hour's of being there I was hooked into a nice Mirror carp so I always consider moving like the man says try and be on the fish rather than away from them

    I must be old as I still use stringers with bottom baits . Will definitely give the depthcharge method a go this year . Agree on the point of view regarding shout baits and not paying attention to what's happening Infront or either side of your chosen peg .

    I get a foot and a half of ice on my lake in the winter and it's 10,000 acres. The good part is that summer is awesome for carp. I have a friend that catches sometimes 200 pounds in one night.

    Tbf though the solid pvas might not get snagged up on as much weeds and other snags and also if your good at feeling the leads down anyway it can be done with solid pvas it’s just allot harder

    See ive just started fishing and have been fishing for 2 years now mainly on an inline lead system along with a few other friends. Between us we’ve probably only had about 3 carp out in those 2 years and on the lake we always go to see others catch no matter the weather and no matter the place they go, we just seem to blank every time and dont know where we are going wrong. Any one got any help?

    • @bencody4168
      @bencody4168 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You’ve got to be on the fish. You may well be doing everything correctly, and the odd blank is expected, but you’ve got to know where the fish are. If there’s no fish in your swim, there’s no way to catch them. Turn up early and look at the water look for signs of fish

    Hi, I’m from Canada and this upcoming season, I will be attempting to catch carp through the ice. Of course, the methods you can use to pinpoint carp arn’t very helpful when the water is frozen and the waters in Canada are very large to try and cover. I have heard that drop-off’s at about 10 to 15 feet that are next to large shallow flats are a good place to start. Would you be able to confirm that based on your experience or maybe you have other lake features to look for?

    • @Itwasntalieitwastrueinmymind
      @Itwasntalieitwastrueinmymind 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dude, people don’t care you’re fishing for genetically inferior strains of carp that top out at low weights & look like clones. Been doing it for 30 years, non of this applies to our waters.

    So I’ve recently fished only 2 different rigs all year round and kept my bait top quality and I can say it’s 95% location of fish

  • @chojindan
    @chojindan 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    So once you've found where the carp are hauled up, typically how long will they stay in that spot for? Are we talking hours, days or or possibly even weeks?

    • @insidegame1061
      @insidegame1061 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Deep winter they tend to stay in the same place...and usually be in the place each winter especially on bigger lakes

    I tell you we’re u can go . Don’t worry about water craft . Don’t worry about getting there early and looking for showing fish . Just bivy up behind somebody for three days wait for them to leave and then start fishing . 😂😂🤦‍♂️because unless your on a top end syndicate odds are u ain’t gonna fish how or where u want to . It’s got out of control . And if your really lucky u can go to to say linier lakes bivy up and then have somebody stinking out your bivy / area with weed and nobody gives a shit either . Top place to take ur young lad that might wanna get into the sport . 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
