Every time I watch or listen to Adam I come away thinking just how lazy I can be . The guy is totally awesome, keeps things simple , clear and extremely achievable by all . Adam please don’t go down the dark path of the patrions like some , keeping it accessible to all helps all .
I have been fishing my local lake shallow brook lake in Norwich Norfolk in October where I had two common carp one of 18ib and the other of 17ib, when I watch Adam penning you know you will always get Good advice as he talk Sence.
I've watched a few of Adam's videos now and they are so informative. He's not trying to sell you anything. He's just passing on wisdom that others just don't do for nothing. I've learned such a lot in the last few hours. Yes - rigs and bait etc, but primarily about commitment and patience. Superb and hope I bump into him on the bank somewhere to make him a Bailey's coffee and say thanks.
Don’t know what it is about your voice but could listen to you for ages. You explain things with simple understanding. If there is such a saying . Top bloke and great angler
I have a small 2/3 of an acre lake stocked mainly with Ghost and Mirror carp to just touching double figures now. It is 9 feet at the dam end and 1 foot at the shallow end. In the winter (I am in Scotland so its colder here) the fish tend to hang around in 1-4 feet. In the 4 years they have been in there, I have never seen them in the deeper water in the cold (its gin clear and I use a Deeper Chirp to try and find them). It is currently frozen solid as it was -6 last night, but I can make out the fish just under the ice, again, over 3-4 feet of water in a weedy area. At night I use a powerful torch from the high bank and the fish are often swimming around in a circle as a group. Again, allover 3-4 feet of water. Before it froze, it had 4-5 days of ice around the margins and a clear patch in the middle. Again, the fish were in the shallower water and at night I found a load sat in 18" of water all laid up against each other. It is fascinating. I have ripped up my whole approach to cold water carp, I steer away from deep water and I would happily fish zigs or put a bait in shallow margins that receive the sun during the day.
Good experienced advice from Adam, especially about being comfortable on the bankside. I completely agree with trying to find a well stocked and relatively shallow lake to kick off any sort of winter carp fishing campaign. All the best, John
The last 4 or 5 pieces with Adam on mindset, bait etc have been for me so informative and interesting I'll go back on as reference on my fishing journey, brilliant Adam just brilliant so than you and merry Xmas
Interesting and thought provocing as always from Mr penning, I have taken a lot from his different videos as he explains each detail in depth but without over complicating things. Top advice as ever 👍
Haven't winter fished for years now as I'm fifty eight..lol.. but when i did I'd use an over wrap and even the mozzie net , plus I'd always use the groundsheet plus two big quilted removals blanket which I've still got needless to say i was nice and warm .
Hi Adam really enjoying your content Back into fishing after a 40 + break Two questions if I may The two large ponds I fish are both a uniform 2 to 2 1/2 feet deep with no raised or deeper sections with some overhanging bushes : no weed at all I like everyone else intend to fish up against these bushes over winter with single pop ups just off bottom or mid water Any suggestions other than moving round with the wind ? Basically fishing a coloured baron oval swimming pool Any suggestions re bait ? I intend just to use boillies as maggots will be attacked by the silvers
Interesting delving into the depths of Adams knowledge. I've fished for donkeys years but still always learn, or re-learn something I've long since forgotten. You never know it all, that's for sure
Priceless. Have you got a book out or dvd cause you need to.maybe get on btsport or sky sports, one your good an two there’s nothing that comes close to this information, if there is sorry I haven’t seen it.
Brilliant tips there mate but When I walk lakes in the dark I always think I’m gonna end up lookin like a mad man or a thief creeping around in the dark😂
I don't know how is it in UK, but in Austria you have to book a certain swim before you get there. So, you don't have any chance to do the most important part - to find carp... 🤷♂️ Show me the lake where you can fish alone and walk around hunting down carps. In your dreams...
Good foot wear people no trainers no flip flops no bloody shorts seen enough skinny legs don't wanna see them when Im fishing keep those bad boys hidden till summer layers Boyz keep warm it's going to get colder this winter
I feel it's a shame that he has good knowledge and can explain things so there understood practically , but uses words out of context for dramatic and knowledgeable effect . Also exaggerating to the piont it becomes untrue .
I have been carp fishing now for 50 years, thanks to Adam I am still learning, love these videos and the knowledge he imparts to us.

Fuck me. An eloquent Millwall fan 🤯🤯🤯🤯
@@archiestys7210 brilliant 😂 😂 😂 😂
Carp often sleep in winter waters. I have held them in my hands. They slowly wake up and waddle away.
Rule number one for me regardless is not taking any form of entertainment, yes I have my phone but that goes in the bag so she carnt get hold of me
I wish i had friends who has the passion and effort 💪🏻💪🏻 lone chasing
