    System Trans starts at .68 cpm $100 tarp pay and great equipment. Home every weekend if you run regional.

    When I was in trucking school the Melton panthlet was the only one I kept maybe it was the blue lol

    I just got my cdl and I want to flatbed because I eventually want to do heavy haul/wide loads..it was between system transport and melton and I chose to go with melton

    Melton pay is 52 cent per mile now as of 2022 thank me later 😎💰 100 tarp pay
    52 cpm for 0-5 Months
    53 cpm for 6-11 Months
    58 cpm for 1-2 Years
    60 cpm for 3 Years or More

    I love your video man. I’m going threw a program the wioa program so I can get into a community college, which they have a trucking course, so I can get my CDL and starting learn how to drive truck. And Melton truck lines are my first option too.

      That's great! Although, I wouldn't recommend a community College. They draw out the program to take way longer than it needs to be. Talk with the people handling the WIOA grant, and they will have some cdl schools that they work with.
      Nothing can prepare you more for being on the road, than being on the road.

    I got accepted at Melton… are they still worth it or should I find another flatbed company? Have almost 5 yrs driving experience, tanker, Van, Reefer, but just no flat bed experience. Any suggestions?

      @@ericmiller1699 yea. Don’t be late while in orientation. If you miss bus, you get kicked out. Learn as much as you can, and ask a lot of questions

    What area does Melton run and can they put you home in? Heard people say you can take a lot of home time if you like to run a long time out. True?

      We are an OTR company. So we run all 48. You get a day a week. If you don’t use those days when you go home, you bank them.

    No disrespect brother, but you making $8-9k in 3 months, is no beuno... you should be making $6k/month every month X 3 =$18k/3months... that's pretty...no I'm sorry, REALLY low pay... I was under the impression Melton paid like .60cpm+, am I missing something?

      I said the same thing. It’s different if it’s dry van but flatbed?? I would expect MUCH more. Close to 59-62cpm and maybe 3 weeks with 4-5 days home.

      You do have to start somewhere. But there’s no sense in doing it cheap. It cost a lot to live on the road. I wouldn’t try anything less than.60. And even that is about middle of the road.

      @@tg580 Maverick TMC melton Roehl…there’s not a lot of flat bed training options out there that will take an unexperienced driver for flat bed unless it’s maybe private . When I use to do OTR I grocery shopped and meal prepped before going OTR. So I’m trying to see how much is a lot…yeah it’s an underpaid industry ..but a lot of folk are spoiled too

      Let’s be real ..I’m speaking for being W2 ..majority of drivers aren’t making .65+ a mile with under a year of experience doing OTR not including bonuses . Unless you got lucky and found an Arab in Chicago somewhere

    You need to be careful lying to people based on your experience alone brother!!!
    I did over 3000 miles in a week too and my biggest check was like 1400 bucks
    You are obviously a new driver and haven’t been trucking long

      First off. The video is 9 months old, so before you start accusing me of lying, please elaborate on what exactly I lied about. Secondly, I clearly displayed my pay. Net pay is different for everyone based on a ton of different variables. I have never lied in any of my videos. What’s the point.

      Mine put me on loads that had me running illegal and unsafe and even though I warned them before hand, they made me run them anyway so I quit

      Yes, I admit, the video is biased. I work at Melton and Melton treats me good. Therefore, to me, Melton is an awesome company. You are also biased on your opinion towards Melton as well. You feel Melton treated you wrong, so you don’t think Melton is a good company to work for.
      The video is about sharing my experience within the 3 months that I have worked there for. It’s my experience and my opinion. These “opinions from myself and other creators, give people enough information for them to make their own opinion on whether they want to work there or not.       My first 3 months were awesome as well
      Think that may change when you get closer to 6 months
      In my observations about Melton, they treat you well for 3 months to sell you on an illusion to build confidence and trust. After that they slowly pull the carpet out from under you.
      After month 3 and into months 4 5 and 6
      My miles went to crap, they put me on horrible loads and treated me like garbage.
      I think they do that after a while so that they can give the good loads to the newer drivers coming in so that they can do the same things to them later.
      Maybe I have it all wrong but I have 6 and half years of driving experience with 4 of them being in flatbed so I can see their tricks pretty clearly.

    How hard is the physical work of tarping? I just got accepted into the orientation but I’m still thinking if it’s right for me or not. I driver concrete mixer trucks right now.

      You’ll be ok bud. It’s a lot of work and you have to enjoy it or you won’t stay, but after you get used to tarping, it’s a breeze. Good luck!

      It’s not bad if you have the right equipment. I don’t work for Melton so I can’t say if they are good or bad. But equipment and the type of loads make all the difference.

    Just a question, why are you getting started at 10am? Is that the time you like to run? I'm sure melton has earlier loads that can start up earlier than that. I get started at 4 am every morning but that's just me as a driver.

      I typically start around 9 on days I’m not unloading and getting loaded. Days I’m unloading, I start as early as possible to get under another load

    How often do you get home? Can you get home every weekend if you want to with that company?

      No. I believe it’s a minimum of 3 weeks out. You earn a day of hometime for every week you are out.
      Melton is a OTR company. If you’re wanting to get home every weekend, a local gig would be what you are looking for.

    Flat bed at 0.49??? Are you kidding me? Go to any russian company and their dry van jobs start at 0.65. People have to realize when current rate is at avarafe 2.5 per mile and paying poor employees 0.49 that's a disgrace

      If you can past the insurance requirement.
      Most companies don’t want to pay a premium for insurance, so they restrict they choose the issuance plan that only allows them to hire people with 2+ years of experience.
      Russian companies pay the higher insurance rate and don’t care about the experience level?

    You made $9,000 in a quarter. So $36,000 a year? You do realize with the rapid increase in inflation over the past year, that’s nearly in the poverty section, right?

      I average 1200 a week net. That’s 62000 a year. Not quite poverty sir. That was my first quarter when I was new and learning how to flatbed. I do see where you are coming from though

      Consider O/O job, rates are $2.5 per mile in avarage. Do your math. 0.35 is nothing...
