I was on my way to the honda dealership to ask for assistance, however it is Sunday and no one was available to help me . My daughter said don't worry we can look at a youtube video and do it our selves. I followed your advice and Im happy to say that we were able to retrieve my phone. Thank you, you saved me time and money !!!

After a week of misfortune and already expensive accidents, my husband’s phone slipped in the crack and was trapped in there. We got nervous that we would have to take it to a dealer, thanks to this video, we got it out in 5 minutes (for FREE). Thank you so much!

Had resoled to taking the console apart just as you did, but man, thanks for the save!! Literally took me 5 minutes to retrieve the kid's school pass in my wife's car.
Thanks a lot for this video I opened from down but can't find my license than I watched ur video than opened from driver side I got it thanks again I was in stress that my license is stolen
This clip just saved me. My license slipped back there too and I was able to pry that piece back from the drivers side and pull it out. I also had to take out the plastic floor liner and pull back the carpet a bit but hell yeah I'm relieved.
Ah, so much recalled pain from situations where I found an easier way after-the-fact. Some life lessons are harder than others. Great vid! Thanks for sharing.
I actually hate the middle console on my 2012 pilot although I have not YET lost anything. I would rather remove the entire thing, but will live with it. I am going to see if I can just remove the sliding lid. I think the main thing I do not like about my Pilot is the interior color is black and it is hard to find stuff at night or poor lighting. I will go with a lighter color interior next vehicle, which will be an electric hopefully.

The back part of my shutter broke off and fell somewhere? Would I be able to retrieve it through the little side port you showed?
If you can’t find that broken piece then it probably fell to the back,so you should be able to locate it with opening the side..
