Dude... I searched HARD, and this vid is about the best I found to help with the issue. Thanks so much for posting it. In my 2012 pilot, now 11 years old, the metal clips... well a bunch of them fell off when popping this stuff apart. I was thankfully able to find all of them, and rebend/repush them back onto plastic tabs so I "think" I'll be able to snap them back. I suspect age is a factor for my experience - age of my Pilot. Also one plastic tab almost is torn off, with the metal clip still attached. I'm crossing my fingers it works out. If not, well, I'll try epoxy or something, or hope it stays without retention in that one spot. likely it will, since it's been sitting in that position for over a decade. Thanks again!

There are 8 screws in that gray piece not even mentioning you need to remove the rear piece and the front piece to get to two of them.

Can I remove the lid altogether? I'd rather just have it open instead of opening and closing.

Can I take that slide thing out altogether with the limited amount of screws snd tabs you show here? I realize Tod Schwager posted this in 2014 - perhaps someone watching knows. I don't like the slide thing at all. Limited space and lose things.

I am pretty sure you can take the slide out; but you may have to unscrew the other side also.

Worthless video. Camera all over the place and you literally showed nothing.
