Good job, these engines are pretty simplistic, and they work great and last forever if you look after the. But am I the only one that noticed the piston is the wrong way around? IN should face towards the intake manifold not exhaust?
@@rustyworkshop I was about to comment the same thing, so the piston was marked wrongly? I'm replacing the shift forks & 1st gear in a 167FML currently (very similar but gear driven oil pump and no balance shaft) and didn't notice if the piston was stamped correctly, will have to check if it's correct on this one.
Have you tried one of the big bore kits and a performance cam with stiffer cams for these engines? I have the 197cc version in a TaoTao ATV my nephew wrecked. As a hobby, I build Vintage Board tracker replicas, ride them a while then sell them. I usually use used Honda clone industrial engines I can get my hands on cheap, for example harbor freight predator 212's up to the 670 v-twins, mated to a stall converter set up like used on go carts. I have wanted to build myself a shifter with a clutch and put some 325-350 wide front tires and 400-500 rear 26"-28" Coker, Dunlop, or Firestone motorcycle tires to register for highway use and keep. Seeing as I have the 197cc 4 speed with reverse, I thought maybe I'd try and get as much power as possible. I already did the 30mm re-jetted carb with a 12v low pressure in line fuel pump, and port matched the intake and ported and polished the exhaust port for extra performance. The carb has a velocity stack, and it has a custom welded exhaust header..
have you ever have a intake valve that when setting valve lash will always be tight and will give you 0 air valve lash and i believe that its due to a receding valve and by replacing it the valve will fix the problem

Yup all from China - Aliexpress, only performance parts I could find is stronger valve springs and an 250cc cylinder and piston, heavy duty clutch springs as well.

@@rustyworkshop I just changed it with a Honda one. Punched it out crimped the new one in and finally found a cable that fits great for my kart. I have a hand shift lever with a motorcycle clutch mounted vertically.

Hi and really nice video! I'm thinking on getting an atv with that 200cc engine for roughly 250bucks, and this content is great for studing it since its impossible to fins any documents! Looks like the flywheel pulled out very nicely, did you do any magic or is it easy to do with no specialized extractor?

Очень интересно, но нихуя не понятно..... Без слов и объяснений. Вырезано много нюансов из процесса разборки и сборки. Я могу так видео снять как я на СТО работаю, и нихера не объяснять зачем я снимаю ту или иную деталь, в чём суть проблемы и что надо сделать что б устранить эту неисправность. Что новое ставлю, что старое можно оставить. Почему клапана не регулировал если снял уже и разобрал всё? Больше вопросов чем ответов. И самое главное. Вопрос. Сколько стоит перебрать такой мотор с учётом установки новых запчастей(сцепление, сальники, шестерни если надо вдруг, поршень, кольца и т.д. и т.п.) и ещё стоимость работы мастера? Снятие и установка это отдельная сумма. Не проще купить новый мотор и сразу заменить?

Поршень установлен не верно, последний диск сцепления - не верно. Мотор отмыл слабо, нагар на клапанах не убрал (или не показал). Картер нужно продувать (видно мелкую грязь). ну и зачем было на герметик собирать? В Украине на него есть наборы прокладок.
One thing's been bothering me which is why these cheap china knock off engines are so underpowered compared to their counterparts. Why is that? Some engines have as much as 15 hp difference
@@rustyworkshop yeah initially I thought so too but it can't boil down to just the quality of parts, can it? A little extra friction here and there may cause some loss of power but not enough to make such a difference. I'm thinking it has more to do with bore width and stroke length and even bore/stroke ratio.
Others use crankcase splitter but in your work you split case like butter!amazing dear.

You make it seem effortless. My engine looks very similar to yours and this gave me some confidence until the machine elves took my comprehension
It is a very uncomplicated engine. Straight forward, just line up all the dots and you should be good. The water cooled version is also pretty easy.

Yes clutch cable my lifan is 5 speed is manual obviously and the clutch actuator where the cable connects is all messed up.
So it is removed from the lid and changed

новый стоит 500 $ ремонт старого в районе 100 $ канешно смысл есть ремонтировать старый
