Everything that has to do with the basement (footers, pea gravel, under pad foam, concrete walls, cement deck, egress well, pad, rebar, etc) was $52000. Just the setting of the forms, labor, and cement for walls and deck was $37000 of the $52000. It could have been quite a lot cheaper but we chose to do a suspended deck which made it a lot more expensive.
Great video! You have a foundation that could be used as a 1950’s - 1960’s bomb shelter. Just one comment, the proper engineering term is “footing”. Not “footer.” Sorry to be picky.
Thanks for the comment! I do think we’ve probably said it wrong for the next video already. 😭 I had no idea footing was the correct term, but now we know. 😊
It's always fun watching someone's dream come true! I'm enjoying your build :)
Great job guys, looks good
Thanks!
So much progress!!! Exciting!!! 🥳
Woohoo!
How many loads of concrete? Looking good!!
It was 5 loads!
What was the cost for this part? (setting and filling the forms, labor and cement) think of building my self soon. In southern Indiana
