    Agree that there is some snobbery in the hobby, but most genuine keepers are just happy to support others or give support/ advice. Had some of our fish since 1995 onwards and still going strong. * Good video by the way.

    Really nice to see and hear from the ordinary people who love kio and do the best they can on a pond build, was impressed with the filter set up, done my Owen build during the first lockdown was hard to get suppliers and products, gret job on the pond

    Really neat set up and it's a perfect get away with the seats hidden from view. Not much info on how you like your coffee? Just black no suger😂

    Don't get me wrong...I love all the videos of home visits that you do Tim but the ponds you show aren't basic, 'normal' ponds that koi keepers have. Most of us can't afford and therefore don't have eazy pods or tempests or built in skimmers or drums. Today's pond looks great, I'm really impressed with it but how many of us can afford to spend this sort of money ( especially in these times ). I have a 6500lt pond ( 8x8x3.5) in the ground. I have a butyl liner ( at the time couldn't afford a box weld liner ) and I run a 14000lt pressure filter as I don't have the space for an eazypod or a nexus or a drum. Sure it needs cleaning regularly but I don't mind doing it. That's part of the fun of koi keeping..or as most would say..water keeping. I'd love to go higher and add about 30" above ground ( with a window ) but I just don't have the money to spend. Oh...and I have 23 koi in there. Various sizes to be sure..but yeah..23. Been that number for about 3yr now. Keep the videos coming..when I win the lottery I'll give you a call.

      That’s all well and good David but my business and this channel revolve around the equipment and ponds we do or are involved in.
      It’s like any industry, there are many different levels. I think the years I’ve been adding videos they are all of a similar equipment. I would say ponds that we are involved in are in the top 5% of ponds in the UK. Yes, the majority of ponds are similar to your pond, which is great.

    I would of gone 3inch on that size, I’d do a weekly purge to ensure there’s no build up of crap in the pipe

    • @TimWaddington
      @TimWaddington  ปีที่แล้ว

      The filter is pretty close to be fair, the purge the nexus will give when cleaned will be fine

    Hi Tim completely agree a cracking pond for the space. How many koi can he safely keep long term to full size in your opinion? Just out of interest as I've got a slighlty larger pond than this with 8 koi 🐟👍

    • @TimWaddington
      @TimWaddington  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This client picked up 2 more bigger fish this week which I think takes him to 8. I think 10 will be fine
