Steriliser and a clarifier are made of the same thing, difference is exposure time, so if you want your UV to neutralise some pathogens, then slow the flow through it, these 'sterilisers' probably try to keep more water contact, do that work for what they should??? Probably another koi gimmick.

this set up looks able to take anything - wouldn't have thought the level of water in the bag is significant and as long as the owner keeps to one reputable supplier it reduces the risk further.
Compliments for this pond and the fish. ❤ Are you not afraid that there could come in some diseases by putting the water of the transportbags in the pond. To give the fish a treatment in this size of a pond, is not cheap to. Better to buy antohter fish😊
POOL NOT A POND LOL mega build but its a koi swimming pool more suited to a hotel or Dubai office..,,another grey zzzzzz .that space would be amazing for an in ground pond landscaped ..
Fire pit chamber likely to crack with the heat as there so big. Small tiles with exspansion joints probably be better if prolonged use of the fire. Other than that it’s perfect 🤩
Would love to see you do a video on uvc sterilisation apposed to uva clarification. I have always believed that 99.99% of bacteria good and bad needs a surface or a living host to survive so bacteria in the water column were not a concern . Unless the water was stagnant, even then almost all harmful bacteria are in the suface layer film . Might not be an exciting topic but an in depth look into these areas would be great .There's a lot of misinformation out there especially from manufacturers labeling uva spectrum uv clarifiers as u.v.c. etc
Tim, I agree. This is my favourite modern style pond. I like the filter house as there is room to move around and good accessibility. The upper and lower decks for people are great and will integrate the family into the pond, making it social. I think that it needs about 50 fish to get the ratio of pod of colour to surrounding water right. If you get my drift. I could sit and watch from the lower deck for a very long time. I’m building a 1000 gallon koi pond ,gonna line the walls with 12mm celotex (box welded liner going in), need some advice on what’s best to put on the concrete base to cushion/insulate/protect the liner ? Any advice would be appreciated 👍

For sum reason this don't look like 14,000 gallons maybe like 7-8 but look amazing ❤ ok I take that back I see it go kinda deep

That's one hell of a koi residence .. top viewing deck by day firepit by night and a shed to lock the kids in.
