I wonder if Belos will try and kill Hunter again especially if he finds out Flapjack sacrificed himself for Hunter. Belos has consumed palisman in the past, it’d scary seeing him try to force it out of Hunter.

@@SpongebobLover38493 wtf, hunter is my fav character, flapjack was my favorite palesmen, now he’s gone, I don’t want hunter to be gone too, I literally watched s-3 e-1 toh again after the 4th time and that time the emotions really kicked in, I started to tear up when flapjack died, AND I USUALLY NEVER TEIR UP IN ANYTHING
It pretty much makes sense to me but hunter is a grimwalker so maybe it won't work.
It would be really cool to see a prequel standalone adventure movie length of Caleb, Evalyn and Philip expanding on this entire backstory.
The clawthornes being powerful because of being part human would be interesting
I think the reason both Dell & Caled had similar palismen despite both seemingly marrying INTO the Clawthorne line & taking their name is that maybe when someone gets married/is promised to another, they carve a new palismen instead of something like a wedding ring. If both Dell & Gwendolyn were descendants of Evelyn that would be pretty unsavory (even if they would be super distant relatives), but if you see the tiny bird palismen as a symbol of their union it makes more sense imo
Yeah I was a bit confused by that to. who is Evelyn ‘s child? Dell or Gwendolyn? because yeah it would be weird if they both are related to her somehow. I don’t think it’s ever been said about Gwendolyn be A talisman crafter herself. But Gwendolyn did said that Dell is the best talisman maker.

Gwendolyn did mention that her great great grandmother or great grandmother used to know Caleb or Philip in the ep when we first met Eda’s mom
Also, the dagger that Phillip used to stab Caleb is shown many times to be the crooked one with a gold handle, EXACTLY like the one Luz takes out of Eda’s armory in the Owl House-maybe Evelyn took the dagger with her after Phillip left and it became a family heirloom or something similar
I think from what we got from the Wittabaine brothers story is that Belos might have killed Caleb accedentaly he was going to kill Evalin. Hers what I think what happend when Phillip went to the Boling Ilse to find Caleb, after afew years of serching he found him and Evelin together hoding hands and Evalin is pregnant with Calebs baby. Phillip is so angry but not at Caleb but at Evalin he thaught Evelin used some sort of spell to make Caleb fall in love with her and keep him prisenor, he then fallows them around for awhile and then he sees Caleb propose Phillip then leaves he goes crazy and his eys glow blue and he charges at someone and that someone hugs him and Phillip realises it is Caleb. Caleb is so happy to see his brother after so long, and he tells Philip he has some news to tell him but it has to be the next day Phillip who alredy knows the truth pretends he dose not know anything agrees to meet him the next day but he hatches a plane to kill Evelin so that Caleb can be free from the spell and that Caleb can see just how bad Witches are agen. So next day Philip brings a knife so that he can carry out his plane he sees Caleb with Evelin but she has her hood up, Caleb is so happy he tells Phillip that Evelin is pregnant with his baby and she shows Phillip her baby bump by taking off her cloke he also tells him that they are getting married before the baby is born. Philip gose and hugs Evelin and when he dose he takes out the knife and was going to stab Evelin but Caleb pushes Phillip to stop him, he trys to stab her agen but Caleb tells her to run and she dose and hides beighd a tree. Philip fights Caleb to get to Evelin but Caleb dose not what to hurt his brother and nether dose Phillip, Caleb falls and Evelin sees a opertunity she comes out of hiding and trys to stop him, Caleb sees this and Phillip gets reddy to stab her and Evelin uses magic spell but she could not stand a chance because she is pregnant Caleb sees this and feering Evelin and his unborn childs life jumps infront of Evelin and Phillip stabs him insted of Evelin. Phillip is horrifid that he stabed his brother his best friend and blames it on Evelin. Evelin is also horrifid and heart broken that the love of her life and father of her unborne child id dead and she also becomes very angry at Phillip and attacse him and he runs away.
I could be wrong, but I think Evelyn's hair was actually red, it just looked brown because of the lighting. I also don't think she cursed Philip, I think he already did that to himself. That would explain his glowing blue eyes in the other paintings. Maybe he found some way to live forever by feeding off of Palismen, but it comes at a cost. I also feel like Flapjack was a gift to Caleb from Evelyn. Either she carved him and gave him to Caleb or she brought him some Palisman wood and helped him carve Flapjack. Also I'm pretty sure that is Evelyn they meet in that image of them walking toward the hand. This implies she met them when they were kids, so I think either she was stranded there when Caleb and Philip met her or she kept coming back over the years, perhaps both. Also, Masha's description plus one of those paintings of Philip and Caleb playing as kids makes me think that Caleb never really wanted to be a witch hunter. I think Caleb only chose to become one so that the people of Gravesfield would accept him, but that all changed when he met Evelyn.
Caleb could easily be an ancestor of both Dell and Gwen without incest being an issue. They would be sixth cousins at the closest, meaning they're effectively unrelated to one another. Also, we don't know how family surnames work in the BI. The family name could be matrilineal instead of patrilineal. So perhaps Caleb DID change his name to Clawthorne because that's simply how things were done in the BI.
Yeah, possible, but it would be weird for me, since sixth cousin still counts as a relative where I'm from

I just want to say Caleb's wife evalyn had the same finger nail pattern as eda. Just take a close look on eda 's hand and compare it with evalyn 's hand in season 3 episode 1 when the girl at graves field told them about the story of the whitebane brothers.

I think flapjack actually IS the reincarnation of Evelyn, ( but if I missed something and flapjack IS Evelyn's palismen, then I guess her spirit went inside flapjack or something? ) BECUASE when Belos posses hunter and is crushing flapjack he says: "Goodbye, Evelyn." obviously pointing towards flapjack being Evelyn. I think its nice to think that Evelyn came back to be with Caleb ( hunter ) for a little longer. ALSO when hunter goes to hexside to gets some "recruits" for the emperors coven, ( when he actually just ends up playing flyer derby and making some new friends ) He makes up a fake name to hide his identity as the golden guard to willow and Gus. Flapjack chirps to him, and hunter is obviously listening. Hunter then says his name is Caleb! either this is just a huge coincidence, Evelyn is flapjack, or flapjack just remembers as Evelyn's palismen.
I more think when he says "Goodbye Evelyn" it's meant to tell us who the owner was and him saying it just to say that he's gotten rid of the last thing kf her that remains her Palismen. I know people who view pets as a last connection to someone or something.

I personally believe that when he says "Goodbye Evelyn", He didn't actually mean Evelyn but what she stood for because, as we all know, Evelyn was the reason Caleb "betrayed" Phillip in the first place and when Hunter got Flapjack, that is when he truly started to see that wild magic isn't terrible as Belos says which ultimately leading too Hunter's personal "betrayal". So, I think Belos was just referring to how Flapjack represents the reason why Hunter/Caleb betrayed him.
But, I absolutely love the idea that Flapjack could be Evelyn's old palismen and since Flapjack is confirmed as a recycled palismen, it could be true. But, another idea I would like to suggest is that Belos has mentioned how each "Caleb" has betrayed him over and over again so, Flapjack could totally be one of the old Calebs' palismen and they could have known about them being a grimwalker themselves meaning that could be how Flapjack knew to say Caleb. So Flapjack could possibly have been a guide for all of the Calebs before Hunter to help them "see the light". It's a fun thing to think about!

Dell's scar eyes is litteraly a coincidence because Eda the first time she changed into her owl beast for was caused on accident by her dad popping something so yeah.
But I do agree it's prob a Clawthorne.
Now that Watching and Dreaming is out, we can confirm that Caleb's wife was indeed a Clawthorne. As seen in the end credits, Hunter picked up palisman carving, with Eda's parents.
The biggest piece of evidence for Caleb and the clawthorne is shown in a disney short called getting to the point showing Caleb's wife with orange eyes like most clawthornes.

You know I wouldn't doubt that evelynn and caleb are actually eda and lilith's ancestor, and I agree that their father looks kinda similar when you look at phillip in the episode with luz and lilith go to the past, and I noticed his palisman looks so much like flapjack too.

I think Lynn's are those who prefer wild magic like Eda. I think gwen was a wild magic user, but after Eda's transformation she turned to the Covens like a concerned mother would.

Yes, I believe that she is Eda's ancestor, but possibly not a Clawthorne unless Dell took Gwendolyn's last name as his. I say that not just because of the clues you listed but because of the reward placed on Eda's capture. Eda clearly reminds Phillip of Evelyn so of course he would place the highest bounty on her head than any other wild witch. And you know that he enjoyed the fact that he had one of Evelyn's descendants blindly following him.
Lilith's name could have been a nod to Dell's side of the family.

I still belong to my family clan in Scotland (Not gonna name it for safety reasons) we are known for our attachment to Cervine animals and a Blue/Green color scheme. Evelyn is edalyn from what we know eda has been alive for a long time and remember that scene in the owl house where eda runs away from her mom young and finds the human realm door we remember her going into the human realm so maybe edalyn spent years in the human realm wondering the forest until Caleb & Philip found her then edalyn took Caleb there etc it all kinda lines up

I think Philip never wanted to kill his brother. But he thought Caleb had been possessed by the witch and brainwashed his brother, and so he took him out. Not necessarily revenge, but to fulfil his duty as a witch hunter.

I think dell is Caleb and was saved by Evelyn (aka Gwendolyn) they just ended up changing their names and Caleb dyed his hair so belos wouldn’t come after Caleb again and so they could rise their kids in peace because I don’t think you actually see dell use magic like everyone else and they I don’t believe dell and Gwendolyn live in the city I’m pretty sure it’s on the outskirts of somewhere which would make sense if they were hiding

The woman Caleb is with in the memory painting does appear to be pregnant. Early enough that she isn’t massive but far enough along to have a noticeable bump.

Hunter is a copy of Caleb. The only "child" or ancestors to Caleb are Eda, Lilith, and one of the parents, which people assume are Gwendolyn.
Maybe Lilith is adopted because her hair isn't spiky and it's a more vibrant orange than Eda's and also the thing with her name

I bet Evelyn is secretly Eda’s mom and she changed her name to Gwendolyn and Eda’s dad is secretly Caleb who actually survived and changed his hair red with the help of Evelyn of course and that Evelyn aka Gwendolyn changed his ears to witch ears so that he would fit in and as a disguise so that Philip aka Belos won’t recognize him and know that he survived, and changed his name.
