Yeah, because feminists love to trash things that people find funny. They thrive off of it. If you portray a woman in any bad way at all, yall think that makes the movie sexist. That's why female characters in many movies nowadays are the boring "strong independent" types with barely any flaws at all, because screenwriters are too scared to write a woman with any flaws because people like you and the Twitter brigade feminists will shit all over it.

This was so early in Seths career (all he had was a minor role in 40 yr old virgin) that i believe she had a lot more power on this set than possibly others. A single character in a work of fiction should in no way paint an entire gender to be the same, and if it does, that's on the individual who sees it that way to sort it out.. I've seen plenty of male characters in movies that are 'toxic' but realize its fiction #1 and #2 it isnt a real representation of men.

I didnt have a problem with her character Allison, I liked her, but I can get why Katherine felt the way she felt. Plus, she said she loved working with everyone on the movie, she just couldnt stand portraying what was, in her a opinion, a buzzkill.

So much for being honest about your experience. If I worked with someone who said she had not enjoyed the experience because of a factor that neither of us had anything to do with (in this case, the script), I would just accept that as her experience. What's the big deal?

what she said was just pointing out sexism in hollywood movies, bringing awareness about this. i'm just surprised that she was allowed to express her opinion because many actors are prevented from expressing their true feelings (like actors from GOT for example)

Would have had more credibility if she'd turned down the role and stated why, rather than getting paid then bitching about the work she happily accepted.

@@kimberlysayer5113 you don't know how it works in hollywood, many actors take roles they don't like because they aren't at the level to be choosy
same goes for regular folks and regular jobs, many people have to take jobs they aren't too happy about for various reasons
and some GOT actors like emilia got paid for the final season but she didn't like it, so

If it's just like the regular world with regular people holding regular jobs, why wouldn't I understand it? It had nothing to do with being contractually obligated to finish a series; It was a movie for which she had seen the script before she accepted the role. Hell, she ad libbed a lot of the material she later complained about. Plus, she was hot off of Grey's. She didn't "have to" take anything, lol! But whatever dude. You do you, Boo.

you don't know how cutthroat hollywood is and why she felt she needed to take that role. so for you to say she "didn't have to take anything" shows you're passing judgment without knowing anything
"it had nothing to do with being contractually obligated to finish a series;" no but emilia still got paid for it and indirectly expressed she didn't like it, or kit harrington got paid for it and straight-up said that it was disappointing. but you said that they shouldn't complain when they're getting paid for it yet they did, lol

I have a feeling that the true reason for blacklisting her was not what she said about the films/roles/series.
She did not agree to renegotiate her contract (Grey's Anatomy 2008) and also she exposed producers for treating actors and film crew as slaves/half-slaves/prostitutes. (17h shift).
Her "controversial" comments were just excuses for trashing her later on.
