OP’s parents offered to take custody of the baby _and_ buy sister the house in LA, however if she took this offer then she was legally disowned. As in legally, OP would be an only child and sister cannot use their last name. OP’s sister very quickly accepted this, and as soon as she got her new house she signed the legal agreement and dumped her baby on the parents. That was the last OP’s family saw or spoke to her.
