I'm gonna have to fight Ebay's search engine... 😡
Hope this helps y'all! Links are in the description if you end up wanting anything!
in the 1080 search, I could see some titles (not actual 1080s) had 1080 somewhere plugged in, that's probably why, seems like the engine searches by title instead of product name or something like that
the reason 4060 have 8g vram is it suppose to be 4050 with AD107
It's because the sellers are listing those other GPU's in their keywords so that they will pop up to more people. it's annoying
thx
AMD needs to get way more aggressive in competition with Nvidia. But seeing as they have canceled the 8000 series high end 8800 and 8900 models it looks like Nvidia is just going to run away with the market.

My GTX 1080 Ti starts showing it's age but it held up perfectly over the years. This video made me appreciate my 11 GB VRAM quite a bit.
That was a once in a lifetime legendary GPU, we probably won't get something this good from Nvidia in a long time.
the best gpu ever made
I'm actually still using the 1080TI right now while playing through Cyberpunk 2077 at 1080p. Mostly high settings with no FSR on and screenspace reflections set to ultra. Very very nice performance, averaging 60fps+ (with the exception of the roundabouts in Dogtown and Megablock. Those drop me way down to 53fps for a few seconds) Everything else is smooth as butter and looks beautiful even without RT.
For 1080p gaming, I'd say the 1080TI can still be very serviceable for many modern games today (and of course, easily run classics like the Bioshock series, Fallout 4, 76, Batman Arkham series, Vermintide II, as well as semi-modern titles like NFS Heat, Resident Evil Village, etc etc).
If you're on a very tight budget, the 1080TI is still very good today.
This is just a recommendation -> If you do get it used, be sure to buy some GLID Solutions 2.0mm thermal pads to replace all the old silicone pads on the heat sink and re-paste the card (unless the seller did it themselves prior to selling the card).
Also I highly recommend you use MSI Afterburner to create a good fan curve, to ensure your card stays cool (since they are older models, you really want to treat them gently and don't allow them to overheat, especially in the hot zones). Undervolting it slightly can also bestow higher performance while keeping the card cooler, since heat throttles it down. 👍
My zotac 1080 ti had a looong warranty. Even when I sold it there was no reason to other than performance.
It had a years warranty on it and I contacted the guy who bought it to possibly buy it back and he said it was still going strong but didn't want to sell it.
The 1080 ti Was a great card. At normal prices too. I paid £550 for it. That seems like a dream now. Top tier gpu for 550 🤪
When you're done with it, please, spend a few more $$ and put it in a nice frame/box and put it somewhere to remind yourself what kick-ass means.
Still rocking a RX 6600 and honestly, I don't need anything better. This thing just works.
king in the castle, king in the castle
I used to have the 6600 XT and it was solid as hell. I did upgrade to a 7900 XTX for very specific reasons, but not because the 6600 XT sucked or anything negative
I'm using an rtx 4060 rn, and I agree

Good buy I was gonna get a 6600 but I wanted something that is a bit better at AAA games so I got a 6800xt
One fun fact about the 4090: I live in Canada, and winter can be very cold some days. Well ever since I bought the 4090, I stopped heating up my appartment completly, it was the first winter that all my electric appliances for heat were off! I won't say "I'm saving money" here, but its close to. 😉

4070 super is one of the slimiest moves nvidia has made. "Thats some nice performance but that vram is a shame. Man you made it this far how about you buy the ti super instead loyal sucke-customer." Especially since they put 16 on the 4060 ti and that came before the ti super models came out.
Except the raw performance boost to the ti super is not that much, so maybe you'd want a bigger one if u are already paying extra how about that 4080 s? The whole nVidia product stack is designed to upsell you to the next thing.
oh and lets talk about that 16GB 4060 Ti's 128 bit bus. it makes even the 7600XT look good, and that has the same exact problem, but at least its not $500. It would have been a perfectly fine card if they reduced it to 12GB and limited it to at least a 160 bit bus like the RX 6700 non-xt (or 192 bit like the 3060) instead of 128. Oh and dropped the price at least $100, but then that would also force the 8GB 4060 Ti down, so maybe down only $50
Yeah I swear they do it just to troll AMD because they know AMD launch every series and tier behind their launches and position their line up just below theirs and market them on price to performance. It’s like nvidia come up with the dumbest cards in the low to lower mid range just to see what AMD will come up to stay just behind so they can sell for just a bit less.
4060ti dont need more than 10gb tbh.
@@matejnemec3022 just like the radeon lineup being a shadow nvidia release product. Just behind nvidia enough to charge nearly just as much as nvidia. The beauty is theres always that guaranteed 10% anti-corporate, fight the power, underdog consumer and tight-ass type that will happily part with their money when they believe its cheaper and better value based on bias marketing metrics like price 2 performance and Prepper level vram. Radeon @ around MSRP $150 less on average than Nvidia doesn’t make them alot cheaper, it makes them slightly less expensive. If RT framegen and AA/upscale solutions matched nvidias level only then can p2p and emotional purchasing be truly justified.
Radeon seems to attract super loyal somewhat unhinged fans that need to connect emotions to a product in order to feel good and justified about the purchase. AMD marketing figured out that connection will be made @around $150+/- 😇🤑🤑😈
seeing the RX 6800 at $380 is absolutely crazy! Seeing it is pretty much the 7800 XT, and it’s cheaper than the 7700xt is wild, can’t wait to use it in a build!

A story from Russia: I put up for sale a Gigabyte RTX 3050 Eagle for 16,000 rubles (170 UDS) and several different RX 6600 XT priced from 18,000 rubles (190 USD) - 3050 were bought in three days, and no one even inquired about 6600 XT in a week.
I'm amazed how people's heads are screwed up, and how they are ready to give up a card that's 30-50% more productive for the sake of "DLSS"
People want to buy a card just because it has Nvidia in the name despite it being consistently worse, they don't even know there's a huge difference between the 8gb and 6gb 3050
@@Carnyzzle RTX🤤🤤🤤
It's worse only in some games. People buy Nvidia GPUs cus they provide a wide variety of support for different software and are much more capable in ml workload. You might get 5-15% less fps in games buying Nvidia, but you'll get 100-400% of performance in software/ai, just cus you paid slightly more for an Nvidia card. Amd for some reason doesn't optimize their software support and even rt support, and Intel has just began their GPU industry so they just physically can't beat Nvidia in software support cus Nvidia been doing that way longer.
@@SimplCup used 3050 in working software and AI? keep me posted
and the difference in games is not 5-15%, but precisely 30-50%

Got a 6900xt used for $440 a few months ago and am very happy with my purchase. Runs everything I've thrown at it in 4k 80-100 fps.
I just swapped my 6700 XT + 180€ for 6900XT few days ago and only thing that I can said about 6900XT is that this thing is a Beast......
I'm glad your happy brother (unless you're a sister), but saying the 6900XT is a beast is, well, a bit of an exaggeration comparatively no matter how you cut it.
And the name is better as well
@@HTW_1 the exception is the 4090 but there is nothing on the amd side to compete with that card so since the 6900 xt and mine 6950 xt are often better then a 7800 xt in raw performance and alot of games run in 4k past 60 fps minus the badly optimised ones it is safe to say it indeed is a beast
@@HTW_1 why isn't it a beas?. it is almost as good as a 3090 and you can get it under 450€
@@HTW_1 Well there are not so many cards faster then 6900XT only maybe 5-6 gpu's this card is hitting blows with the 3090 and when we took price/performance into account then YES this GPU is a BEAST!!!
Only GPU you should be buy in the $600-$500 range is the 7900 GRE, it is a 6950XT in raster, 3080 level RT, 16GB of VRAM and every efficient for just $550
That GPU is probably the new "RX 580 Budget King"
7900gre and rtx 4070 super not released back in 2023 August so I had to buy new 6950xt got it for same price of 4070 was a nice deal from store.
I am not interested in ray tracing or upscaling when mainly play elden ring and cs2.
4070ti scared me becuze of 1100€ price tag in Sweden with 12gb vram.
I had rtx 3070 was good amazing but after one year use and new games goes out ray tracing unplayable and 8gb vram holds back.
Impressive analysis and being wide open to use cases.
That is far more than 95% of youtubers today.
Bravo! ❤
Going to add that - if you are prepared to 'tinker' the RX7900 XTX may actually represent great value relative to the 4080 for ray tracing because it gets you 24GB ram, there are quite a few mods that are being made available now to enable FSR and frame gen modded back into the game. I modded FSR2 to FSR3 for witcher 3 next gen and cyberpunk and ray tracing runs great! If you're a linux gamer , you also get really great OC support and good Linux support for gaming if that's important to you. Where I live, there is still 300+ dollars difference between the 7900XTX and the 4080 Super.
Made a commitment last year when I was building my PC to be set for a while and snatched up a 6950xt on Newegg on a deal they had.....I dont see myself getting anything else for idk how long. The way this thing runs games on my ultra wide is just......wow...
I even limit it most of the time when i play games to like 60 or 90fps and just watch it chilling yawning nice and cool while i max out settings at 1440p 😅 so happy
Moral of the story is wait a few more years because there's no really good deals right now
There's never a good time to buy PC hardware. You'll be waiting forever if you're always waiting for the next good deal.
a few more years shit will just be more expensive. meantime you lost years of gaming or productivity.
I picked the ASUS RTX 4070 Super OC - open box cheaper than the US MSRP (in my country, these cost a bit more than MSRP if new). Don't know what happened, but the dealer sent me a brand-new card. The second cheapest 7900GRE was selling like crazy - it was still like 5$ more.
Things will be 10-20% more expensive in 5 years.
Buy used ayyy

Value king for the last 2 gens. Loved that card. Upgraded to a 7900xtx cause I want to torture my 5800x3D. But selling my 6700XT to a friend still hurts deep down.
there used to be days when i used to just play games, and now i sit here and watch pc hardware videos on my spare time
Its addicting
Managed to snag a 7900gre for 510 euro. About to make my first build!
all that to play skyrim at 500fps :P
Sounds amazing, happy gaming!
I was super fortunate and got a 7900XTX for free, so I sold my 2080 at the time. I don’t think $900 is too bad for a 7900XTX and it blows my 2080 out of the water in both raster and ray tracing. Right now I’m playing through Witcher 3, 1440p Ultrawide, max raytracing, FSR quality and never drop below 60fps. Usually in the 80s - 90s. And with the FSR 3 FG mod I’m maxing my refresh rate at 160hz. I know it’s not 4080s levels of raytracing but I wouldn’t feel like I’m missing out if you find a good deal!
Same I also went with the 7900XTX not expecting to be able to Raytrace anything but then I found out I can actually raytrace games too if I want to. Its an amazing card and it runs modlists like nothing with the 24gb Vram. No regrets for me. I upgraded from a RTX 3080 and I dont miss DLSS either.
@@SemperValor bro the amount of mods I have due to that 24gb vram 😮💨 I’ve gotten up to 16gb allocated but it’s amazing what you can do with 24gb in the tank lol
that's kind of the reason, one thing is not spending money for it, and the other is spending a grand for a gpu, and comparing it to a gpu 2 gens old.
Not saying that you shouldn't be happy or so let me be clear, but when people are going to spend that type of money, they will start looking on what both gpu's are offering, and as much as i want amd to compete, the only thing they truly offer on the 1 grand range is more vram and minimally faster rasterized performance, while nvidia's ignoring rt, offers their entire software suite which amd isn't even close to competing with.
I'm gonna run an absolutely ridiculous amount of Skyrim and Fallout mods once my new 7900 XTX arrives. No ENB can scare me now.
@@ishiddddd4783 oh yeah I understand I’m super fortunate and lucky for getting one for free so I’m definitely looking at it from that perspective. I just don’t like the idea that AMD can’t raytrace worth anything when the high end cards are quite capable in almost all RT games (pathtracing excluded). I will say I really enjoy the Adrenaline Software as well it’s super fun to tinker with. I hope Nvidia gets their new software sorted out soon with all the features adrenaline has. If they land that with the next gen I’d be happy to try out Nvidia again!
I got a 6600 a few days ago upgrading from my GTX 1030 and its amazing
still have a 2060 OC, need to upgrade and this video helped thanks bro
So here’s the thing in Europe the Rx7900xtx costs us 950-1000€ net no additional cost no hidden VAT nothing whilst the 4080 super sets you back easily 1200-1250€ that’s almost 300€ price difference. I am rocking with RX7900xtx by XFX picked it up for just under 1000€ with delivery from Amazon and I can’t stress enough how good that GPU is… it blows my mind everytime I boot a triple A title… I’ve also recently went from IPS panel to an Oled and that made a huge difference in picture quality and gaming performance especially in HDR which I was never a fan of until I had a proper oled display. I have a 65 c2 lg oled paired with my ps5 and series x but an Asus Oled monitor paired with a PC is night and day difference!
I just read your post and the thing that caught my eye was your card being an XFX. How do you like the quality of build? I always see Asus, Gigabyte, Sapphire, and Powercolor mentioned all the time but never XFX. I am going to be building a new system soon and I have come across XFX cards at good prices so any advice you have based on your experience will be appreciated.
@@bocconom I would always aim for XFX cards over anything else the second best I’d go for would be sapphire XFX is probably the best AMD partner there is when it comes to quality
XFX was my second choice, I went for the nitro+ since I know they build extra safety and quality components and thermal pads. OC-ed+UV-ed my 7900xtx and the hotspot never crosses 65°C while the other temps are at 50. 100% load at 280-320W powerdraw, compared to like 420W stock or 475W pure OC. Best GPU Ive ever had tbh.

If you are ok with using dlss3, at 1080p and 60fps, a 4060 can perform ray tracing just fine. Recently took an old i7 9700 and paired it with a 4060. 1080p Ultra RT preset on cyberpunk (this preset doesnt turn on PT by default) dlss3 quality setting, avg high 50fps, dlss3 performance setting, mid to high 60fps, add on frame gen, high 70fps.
If you play with a controller, the input delay from FG isnt noticeable at all really, as long as you were getting say 50fps avg before turning it on. If you play with mnkb, i would avoid FG altogether unless you were already getting around 120fps before turning it on
Edit: i didnt touch on VRAM, which like you said is the cards biggest problem. In my example above, you will absolutely be pushing that 8gb limit, certainly pushing some of the work into ram at points, but i didnt notice any stutters or anything of the sort.
I havent put a ton of time into the game in that rig yet, because it was more of a hobby project as i already have a much better PC. In probably 10-12 hours of gameplay, its been a pleasant experience so far

Gtx 1080 ti showing its age but still putting in work
i swear the years click by faster the older you get. i can't believe the 1070 is that old already. i still have mine on my shelf here as a backup just in case my 4090 decides to self imulate and it feels like i got it maybe 3 years ago.
I got a new MSI RX 6800 GAMING Z TRIO for around 525 usd here in my country. I see they go for around 470 usd used. The thing is, there have probably been a small accident with it as the box was dented and it was sold as a "Used" one with discounted price. Good for me as the card was still flawless and obviously not used.
It still had all the plastic things you have to remove that are sticked to the card, and the pieces that you use on the card and the GPU holder has not been opened and so on.
You can probably get them for 400 used in America, that's not the case here. So overall, it was a decent deal. I also work at the Web store I bought it in, so full coverage for 5 years. That was worth the 50 extra usd.
I would say don't overlook the Vega 56 for the $100-120 price range. It's a big overclocker so can pretty much perform as well as the 1080 and HBCC can help bolster that 8gb vram.
Vega is slept on big, especially 56. Got a couple of em under $100 shipped on ebay a few months back to put in friends' budget rigs. Around 1080 perf for less than a 1070.

Question for you: what should I upgrade my 3090 into? I don't really have a need to upgrade right now but just thinking ahead of time, do I really want to upgrade to a card with less than 24 GB of VRAM?? Do I just wait until the 6000 series?
Hello. Thanks for the videos. Just a quick question. I currently have an RTX2060. Still going strong, but I am building a new rig. What card would I be happy with? I have an AMD 5800x and B550F mobo and running Corsair 3600Mhz ram.
For my first PC build I was thinking of getting the 4070 TI Super so cool
3080 is a good deal right now
Get it,
It fucks
I mean it really depends on the Rx 7900xtx price in your country if it is like 50-80 USD more expensive it's a no brainer it's only inferior to a 4090 in raster and you will also get updates to fsr 4 5 and ECT because it has ai cores if AMD wants to do smth with them
Rocking an RTX 3070 paired with a 5600X... Yes 8GB vram isn't a lot but it runs everything super well and I am not upgrading for ages from now...
and that is the best-deal used Nvidia card right now, often selling for the same as 3060ti
@@BearfootBob yeah... I was about to grab a 3060ti for the same price while suddenly I saw the 3070... it was midnight and I bought it next day...
@@itson230 last year there was a glut of 3060ti for $250, that was a nice deal then. But used GPUs have crept back up. I should probably sell off my 2060 soon before it dips again, right now they are holding around $200, so $180 will sell fast.
@@BearfootBob Yeah I think so too... 2060 is a decent card but moving to a 3000 or 6000 series card would go a long way...
7800XT was a very good deal already, but 7900 GRE gives us 10-15% more performance for 10% more money, BUT the efficiency, the temperature are even more impressive.
After Rx 580 and radeon Rx 6800, I decided on radeon Rx 7900 xt. I only play in 4k. I'm fed up with the series of failing geforce cards. No problems since I have radeon. The geforces are also good, but 5-6 of my cards all became striped pixel defects a little after the warranty expired.
There is a reason why a quality Brand like EVGA left nvidia.
AMD gives their AIB partners some headroom for pricing so they can Invest more into quality instead of cutting every corner just to make a tiny profit..At least for sapphire it shows. Amazing quality.
There is only a handful of games where ray tracing makes a difference to visuals, so I would go 7800xt every time.
However, I don't spend that kind of money on a GPU anyway. I think it's stupid as you can get a whole console for that price.
Got a 6950 XT XFX off marketplace last night for $350
That's a crazy deal. I'm looking to sell my 6950xt right now and I wouldn't wanna go below 450. Not sure what I'll do with it.
@@dhoyft411 $450 is still a good price for it. the cheapest i found one on ebay was about $520. I worked out a deal with him where i ordered a white 7900 xt and swapped it for the difference in price. Got $38 cash back on my card as well in points.
damn dude that's a steal for sure that thing is a beast, and for $350? god damn!
Bought a used 6700xt about almost 1 year ago for $300; glad to see it still worth every cent at that price💪
Asus DUAL OC GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 8GB at 379€ should I get it? (I know you said RX6800 but im looking to future with AI updated drivers,.. Also I need something compact for M case and low in W dont want to upgrade 520w if its possible) Any other options better here in Europe?
I have a 6700 XT currently and planning to get a 7900 GRE. Ngreedia is an absolute no to me, wouldn't take one even for free.
7900 GRE is the way to go if you care about raster performance mostly or you play RT games with RT low setting (which is good enough IMO).
AMD's ray tracing is based on the CU's so because the 7900 GRE uses almost a full 7900XT die, the ray tracing is shown to do quite a bit better than the 7800XT because of this fact. its enough to put it on par to a 4070 to well above passing it in lighter ray traced titles like Forza Horizon 5
If you want Ray tracing then you go Nvidia.
Recently upgraded to the 7800xt Red Devil and I’m loving it so far. As someone who’s not worried about playing games in RT, 7800xt is performing extremely well
Nice! I went with the Sapphire Pulse, it was around 100$ cheaper than other 7800 XT models here in Romania, and just above MSRP. That's an amazing deal given our prices here. Works just fine paired with my i5-12600K.
Only problem i have with the rtx 4000's is the fact the adapter, isnt resistant enough to handle the power running through it, all those burnt out pin slots.
Unless they fixed the adapters to a newer plastic composite, that can handle the amount of power draw though it.
Maybe do a CPU one of these, love to see that. Cuz AMD just kinda runs away with it in terms of gaming lol
Really no point since 3600, 5600 , 7600 is the best ones and all of them beat their Intel counterparts
for budget, 5500, for a decent midrange, 7600X, for high end, 7800X3D
the only intel CPUs that are kinda worth considering ATM are the i3 12100F and i5 12400F, both available cheaper than a 5600X, and the i3 being cheaper than the 5600. only worth considering at the budget price point if you care about pcie gen4 (in order to be cheaper than intel you'd need to use a B450M board with either 5600 or 5600X which doesnt have pcie gen4. and this also includes the price of the cheapest motherboard i could find for both)
@@gassug2 5600x is the same performance as 5600 sometimes beats it sometimes losses also we have to account future upgrades you need to get a new board to upgrade that Intel CPU so yeah amd still wins on cpus a b550m might be more expensive but gives more future proofing
@@Hi_Im_o2 i dont think i really agree. the most you could go with an AM4 board is a 5800X3D, or a 5950X for productivity.
intel 13th gen performs on par with ryzen 7000 (albeit for more money), so if you're on a budget, LGA1700 has the better upgrade path over AM4 when considering futureproofing.
@@gassug2 Ig your right atm am5 boards and making you have ddr5 is just too expensive

I went with that XFX 6800. It is a beast of a card in terms of size. I didn't mind as I was doing a upgraded case anyhow because of my previous case getting damaged.
Is it holding up with the performance?
I bought the Acer Predator BiFrost A750 and updates are coming regularly. Nice card, runs a bit hot.
Still using the GTX 1660 Super. Still a decent card.
Got an RX 7900 GRE, can speak from experience - it's an awesome card, but kinda weird and jank. On the good side, I play at ultrawide 1440p rasterised and with light RT, and it monsters anything I throw at it. It's usually so fast the upscaling isn't a factor, it doesn't need it, even with ray tracing if it's something light like RE engine RT or Unreal 5 lumen RT. It also overclocks *really* nicely if you've got the patience for it. On the weird and jank side the overclocking was only recently unlocked (VRAM tuning) and overall the drivers seem pretty buggy, I have issues locking framerates in older games for example and V-Sync seems borked in every game I play.
Overall, it's a fantastic card fir tinkerers and enthusiasts. For normies? I'm not so sure, the 7800 XT is probably fine and cheaper :) The GRE has surprising RT you'd be missing out on tho
Got RTX3060 12g used on ebay for $145 shipping included. It was a steal and runs all the AAA titles I play with ease.
Used 2080s are just under 180 DOLLARS. That's just 165€. They're great and if you're in the US, definitely buy them.
Bro's whole account is about GPUs 💀
yet you're still going to watch every video

4060 is better value than the 3060 hands down. 12gb vram really doesn't mean much at 1080p which is the resolution the 60 class is designed for
The 4060 is a much better deal than before
Well yeah depends on the setting you're playing at.
🐑 spotted
@@I_hate_you_forza who am I being a sheep to? 😂
can’t play forza horizon 5 at max settings with only 8 gb
went with xfx rx7900xt because it doesnt melt or snap which are i think important cool features , and in use its so cool to look down and see the fans not spinning or just idling in far cry 6 at 1440 x170hz ultra settings
sending a message to nvidia is a bonus
OC+ undervolted my 7900xtx nitro+ so its at 280-320W at 100% load, hot spot temps NEVER crossing 65°C, insane.
AMD is not as strict and greedy with their AIB partners as Nvidia and it shows how much headroom they get for quality (if they choose to).
Never suggest used cards, they have a high chance of being burned out my either overclocking or bitcoin. Every one I've ever gotten over died prematurely. Last one was a 1070 in its own release year, died less than 2 years later.
First
i bought RX 6700 XT used for around, 200$. some RX 6600 XT also sells for 200$ brand new. So, i think it's a good purchase.
I'm glad it doesn't have any problem.
I Use the Asus Rog Strix Ryzen 5 3400g with Nvidia RTX 2060 super. I want to upgrade both the GPU and CPU. What do you recommend or think will be the best to upgrade to? Thanks
Looking to buy the RTX 4070 Super, think it would go down in price anytime soon?
Id love to hear you talk about VR usage in these types of videos
The 3050 6gb would it be a good gpu for a streaming pc with nvenc encoding ?
Creating a GPU compatible with Unreal Engine 5 would streamline the development process, making it more accessible. Additionally, ensuring compatibility would enhance performance and optimize resource utilization for smoother gaming experiences.
At around $180-200 if you still want to go with nvidia and have access to entry Raytracing features on low/ medium settings along with dlss; the 2060 super is the card to go for
For anyone focusing on content creation instead gaming fps (Blender and Cinebench) the landscape of recommendations changes dramatically.
Then nvidia is the better choice in this case, yeah?

AMD RX580 8GB Gigabyte or NVIDIA 1050 ti Cebercus Asus for budget? ive got both
Very good video. VERY!
Should you buy a 4000 series card right now, if you've already got a laptop/PC?
Or wait and see what happens with the 5000 series?
I like you because you’re the just about the only pc TH-camr whose videos aren’t overtly obnoxious. As you get bigger, please do not include silly cutaways, slow downs in audio for comedic effect, or that anime “woahhh” sound bite.
Still running my 1080ti for the last decade. New thermal paste, clean the fans, oc profile when I'm playing in 1440p and underclocking for desktop duties. May look at a 4070 soon I've held out long enough and cyberpunk in hi res is calling!
So glad I got the rtx3090 last April for 800cad second hand, need that 24gb vram for 3d rendering
its good to see somoene mention the 2070 super in the comparison haha iv got a r5 3600x and a 2070super, i want to upgrade any recommendations ? do i stick with the highest 5800x3d or jump ship to a am5? and pair it with either a rx7900gre or 4070ti super ?
I have the 5800x3D+7900xtx nitro+. Insane combo, no issues whatsoever.
Id suggest going am5 and a 7900XT or GRE if thats your price range and u prefer raster. RT is a joke imo, so Im biased. But a Good deal on a 4070 ti super can be solid too. Its just that Nvidia usually blocks all new features of the latest gen to previous gens and AMD doesnt.
I have a 5800x3d paired with a 4070 Super, I’ve been loving it myself.
What website is he using to get the benchmarks and comparison of the cards?
Just do what you gotta do and get a 4090. It's a great world to be in. All settings set to ultra. 250+fps in so many games at 1440p. It's nice having the power.
I recently made my first gaming pc ever. After seeing nvidia prices i went for a 6700xt 12gb, couldnt be happier
My last gráfic card as a Sapphire Nitro RX 6800 16GB and is a Nice gráfic now i have a 7800X3D + Sapphire Pulse RX 7900 XT 20GB and 1440p is OverKill 😊 is a Dream Build 🎉
Went from a 1070 to a 6800, then to a 7900xt. Never been happier, especially with a 7800x3d under the hood.
On budget vs value I've said it before and I'll say it again, I refuse to pay more for a single pc part than for the entire ps5 console.
Playing modern games going forward i feel like anything below a 1070/1660 or on AMD anything below a RX5700XT isn't worth buying now.
With a little more money the RX6600XT through RX6800 give excellent performance to cost. The price range between the RX6600XT and the RX 6800 is only around 180$
So to go from the RX6600XT for 200$ with only 8Gb vram to an RX6800 for around 380$ is truly worth the difference for double the Vram and about 50% better performance.
In this current market I personally don't think anything over the RX6800 is actually worth buying when newer faster and more efficient video cards are on the horizon.
It's pretty clear the RX 6800 is the performance to value success that dethrones the GTX 1080Ti as best bang for buck across multiple hardware releases.
There's really nothing out there between 400-500 that would be a more worthwhile purchase than a PS5.
I've got yesterday the 7800xt, for 490 bucks. And i can tell you that it's better than the 6800, 6800xt and 4070. I fell like it's gonna age better than the 6800.
I still have a 1080 (8y old ish) and my friend still has his 2060 ~5y old and guess what, they still work really well for most titles we play to this day.
Sure the 1080 architectury is quite old at this point and the 2060 6gb is quite limiting. But we haven't had much reason to upgrade, not to mention our economy.
Our plan is to upgrade to a 4080 and 4090 later on when we've saved up enough.
We're going to buy used cards of course.
After that, we're set for another 4, 6 or even 8 years.
Thats nice, but Im afraid the connector wont make it that long, especially used. I wish u good luck with that though!
@@Greenalex89 Not sure about that though. I have an acuintance who has had 4090 for a year now or so and no probelms there. That being said, more and more cards show up with connector problems in repair centers each month aparently, so we might consider otherwise 😂
Man do I get deja vu everytime I watch these GPU buying guide every month 😂
Truuu. I do mine every other month because I don’t think stuff honestly changes that quickly unless there’s a new launch or something
It's been so hard to find a pc tech youtuber who isn't shoulders deep in high-end puritan mindedness. I was debating between the 4070 Ti Super and the 4080 Super, and every other youtuber I watched was really pretentious and were always like "Erm, the 4070 ti super is just like the other 4070s and the 4060! Don't buy unless you're poor!" But then I finally found you, and your honesty about it's near identical performance to the 4080 Super has finally helped me make my decision. I think both of them are good cards, but paying a 200-400 premium on the 4080 super for just a 12% / 10 frame difference is wild! Thank you!
I’ve got the 7800xt and 7800x3d happy with it I may upgrade next year around February to march depending on what’s available
