My pap gave he a brand new 29lx he got when he bought his 12 valve. Me and my friends all put cb’s in our cars. My Grand Cherokee and a cobra are a match made in heaven. My friend Cole has a old Galaxy cb and he is trying to switch me to find a galaxy. I don’t know, I’m very happy with what I got. Thank you for helping me set it up!

On the SWR, when Calibrating your antenna, the range should be lit left of 3 or on 3 and not over 3. Some believe the signal strength should be between 3 and 4, but apparently, according to Cobra, 3 is the magic number.. they also talk about cutting the length or adding to the length of the antenna, but I don't want to cut up a Lil' Willey Antenna, they are expensive.
I love this very much, I am some what a new users, i use use CB radios back in late 80's and it was fun. now this radio is very awesome, mine is up grated, in every way you can do it mines a 40 watts cobra 29 lx with a better mike called SUPER STAR MIC. This cb has been from a dear friend that has a technician that did the work;;; i all ready got a radio check twice on it
The antenna itself needs to be tuned, the radio doesn’t tune it, it just lets you know either the antenna is not tuned or there could be a problem with the coax, usually it’s just adjusting the antenna.
Hey thank you for the video. You nailed it. I just picked up 29LD and upon hearing all the static I thought they had messed up and installation. Do you think $800 is too much for installation, antenna, and mounting brackets?
I'm really not familiar with the range of prices people charge for installation. Assuming there's nothing setup in the truck and they have to do all of it from scratch, that sounds about right. I've never had to do it all from scratch. You'll see in my install videos I'm working with a truck that has the antenna and coax already installed so for me it's simple!

What would you do to fix antenna warning when holding down the PTT?

Do you need an external speaker in a brand new truck?
You left out how to calibrate the mic in CAL, SWR, ANL.
Where do you want the SWR meter to be for the mic? 1.5 or 3?

I think that's a lot, in Miami I paid about $400 to get the cb and a signal booster installed

When i click PTT the SWR goes above 3. And i havent gotten back a positive radio check when i talk. Any ideas why?
You need to recalibrate your radio. Calibrate on channels 1,20,and 40 swr needs to be around 1.5
