Australia, you are missing the affect "McCleods Daughters ",is having on us in the USA. Someone must run this award series, here. We have NOTHING like it here .tubi network runs it. Too.
@@KattieMetChris absolutely right. The show has everything - gorgeous scenery, girls doing it for themselves, lots of family drama and it was so beautifully shot with great Aussie talent. The reruns still play and I will be watching tonight. So glad you had a lovely experience 🩷
Hello from a fellow American. I saw McLeod's Daughters a long time ago and I just loved it. And I'm so glad it's finally getting more recognition in the States, even long after it's stopped airing. Americans like us are craving something fresh and the Australian rural family drama provides exactly that. By the way, I also recommend the very similar Canadian drama "Heartland", currently in its 16th season!
I love Heartland! I became obsessed with McLeod's Daughters after watching only 1 episode, totally hooked. Such an amazing show! I'm so impressed by just how many people from so many different countries all gather together around loving this show! Doing the tour was really a dream come true for, it was just so cool.
My most favorite TV show! Strong women characters, beautiful country, my kind of lifestyle! I even own 2 Australian saddles... My favorites for trail riding. Also a couple of oiled out back coats for riding in the rain here in the US.... I would love visit Australia & Drover's Run one day!

Me too! But hopefully the rumors are true and there is a reboot coming, fingers crossed! 🤗🙏 How did you start watching it? Are you in Australia or did you just stumble across it on a random cable channel like me and then become mildly obsessed ?
Ahhh as an Aussie I have only just gotten back into it. I grew up watching it from the ages of like 4 to 12. I can't wait for everything to settle down here and for the state borders to open up so I can travel there to see it for myself. I haven't heard much news about the sequel except that it has was given a government grant in July if I remember correctly fingers crossed for some more news soon.!
First off it's such a huge compliment to me when Aussie's like this video! One of the main reasons I wanted to come to Australia was to see the filming locations for the show...then I fell in love with Australia while we were there and can't wait for all these travel lockdowns and restrictions to pass so we can come visit Australia again! I saw that Posie was writing a script so we'll all keep our fingers crossed. Love this show and it's community so much! Keep in touch!

@@KattieMetChris me too! It’s so good (consoling actually)to have these dvd’s …to know you have them and watch them every few years for the rest of your life.
Thank you so much for sharing your impressions! 😍 I love this! Since the writer of the show just announced that there will be a reboot in 2021 maybe we‘ll see all this back on the screen soon 😍
Fingers crossed! That would be amazing! Have you heard what direction they may be going with reboot? All I've seen is that it is being written but now details. It's all so very exciting!
Sexy Coffee Travel Blog neither do I! The writer just said that there is a long way to go and that a lot of money is required but they started to write a story based on the original cast, so maybe- as I wish- Claire will be in it too😍
I highly recommend it! The tour was fantastic and there are a couple different schedules. I am going back to do another one as soon as we can get there again. I rewatch frequently and even got Chris to watch it 🤗😂 All the best!
When McLeod's Daughters ended, I was absolutely sad. I love the farm and the togetherness there. I was afraid that the farm would be completely rebuilt but after the video it wasn't like that anymore. On the contrary. I am so happy that the new owner has kept many of McLeod's daughters items there. For example the pinwheel and the bathtub or the famous tree. For me, those things just belong there. I also like that the shop kept Stevie's wedding dress or even the Drovers or Killarney signs.
I was so amazing for me as we drove around to see some of the filming locations and so many of the props and memorabilia they used in the show. Hoping to go back there soon to see some of the things we didn't get to during this tour. Out of curiosity, who is your favorite character from the show? So happy you enjoyed the video!
Thank you for this! Amazing! Is this something we can still tour and see to this day? I literally just on season 7 and in love with this show and would love to visit.
That's so cool! As for the tour, YES! We were recently contacted by them to ask if they could link this video on their site to help them get more business (of course we said yes, they are amazing...couldn't have dreamed of a better tour...and no we don't get a kickback for saying that 😁). I really want to get back there as soon as we can and do the tour of the Ryan boys ranch as well. This tour is one of my favorite things we've done!

That's how I first saw it was on a small channel then I wanted more so I ordered the DVD's all the way from Australia because that was the only place I could find them! 😊 Love hearing these stories from other MD lovers! Hugs !!

Just HAVE TO tell you, that 15-20 yrs ago,on the low budget channel,I immideately recognized Jodis mom,she played in Police Rescue, with Gary sweet as main actor.as Sgt Mcclintock.. So,I decided to record 1 Episode of McLeods from that low budget,so I could look at it when I came home from work..That s how I started to love McLeods..& couldńt believe it,when our National TV started to show/broadcast it ! Cheers from Stockholm,Sweden !!
I found McCleod's Daughters after watching Matt Passmore in The Glades here in America. He didn't show up in McCD until the last two seasons, but I loved the show in general. It was a great way to pass the time during the covid-19 pandemic of 2020. Is the farm no longer a working farm/ranch? just a tourist place? What about the other places like the hotel, truck stop, pub -- are they still in business? Thanks for this wonderful video.
That's so great to hear! I found McLeod's Daughters purely by accident while surfing channels and liked it so much I actually ordered the DVD's shipped in from Australia to the US so I could watch the rest of the show. (now of course it's on Amazon which would be MUCH cheaper)..I also bunch of memorabilia but we won't say how much I spent on that in case my husband reads this 😃 Drover's Run is now high end (and very high priced) hotel and wedding venue. Very grateful they trusted our tour guide Dal enough to let her continue running private tours through there (Dal was amazing). The buildings are still there from most of the other locations, some are in business and some are other things all together which made the tour really interesting seeing how it all blends together now. The truckstop looks abandoned now but the hotel is a nice restaurant and bar where we had lunch. Thanks so much for watching and please keep in touch, We plan to go back and see the parts we missed once we can get back to Australia. I always love chatting with other fans of my favorite show ever! Have a great day!
I really like the Glades too! I actually saw the Glades before I ever found McLeod's Daughters 😊 But you are definitely on to something with the accent 😁
This is my (Kate) favorite series all time from anywhere. I was lucky enough to stumble across it while it was still on the air and I was able to order some memorabilia which is , embarrassingly, some of my favorite treasures 😀 What are some of the other Aussie series you like?
Really?? That's awesome! I ordered them on DVD shipped from Australia after seeing a couple episodes on some random cable channel years ago. It would have been cheaper to fly there and pick them up 🤣😂 Then I started ordering show memorabilia....but that's another story 😎😂Have a great day!
I'm a new fan from America. So wish I could take the tour. I'm permanently changed from watching eight seasons in a month and a half. 😋love the story, the series, the characters, and the actors.
I got so obsessed while binge watching the first time that my work suffered 😂 I had to throttle back a little so I didn't get fired. Of course I then starting spending my paychecks on ordering show memorabilia, which was cool because a lot of what I bought is no longer available (like bottle dirt and wool from Drover's Run that it turns out was illegal to ship internationally 😂)
Yes, I did. It's so totally different from the rest of the series. Just has a different feel. For me the series has a lot more 'heart" if that makes any sense, but when you watch it please let me know your take on it!
Visiting the filming places was a dream of mine for so long. You'll love it! Chris even enjoyed it and he only watched the show because I made him. Hope you get some rain soon!
I live in TEXAS USA I first watched the series on you tube I then found it on an app tubi I watched the series all 8 seasons twice and twice up to season 7 I enjoyed this series I hope to find the rebut and watch it also
I found the show by pure accident and loved it so much next thing I knew I was paying to have DVD's shipped in from Australia and paying people to record it for me on VHS 🤣💖
If I were ever to make it to Australia this is where I would want to go, I loved this show so much I had to buy the DVDs and a special DVD player just to watch it here in the USA
I know how you feel! I had the DVD's shipped to the states, then found out they were the wrong region so I had a friend record the shows off of tv on VHS tapes and mail them too me 🤣 And let's not even START talking about how much $$ I spent on memorabilia (all shipped from Australia to the US of course). Going on this tour was a dream come true. It was the #1 thing on my bucket list (and if you watch our other videos, you'll know there were a bunch of cool things on that list...but this was #1 for me) and it was well worth every penny. In fact, I can't wait until we can go back to tour some more ....and for the MOVIE TO COME OUT! 😊😊😊 Have a wonderful day and keep in touch!
Hello! My biggest dream in life is to visit this wonderful place and get one of these tours. Woluld you mind help me with information on how i could book this? Best regards Michelle from Sweden.
Oh my goodness you just made my day! Going on the McLeod's Daughters tour was one of my bucket list dreams and it was just amazing! Chris even enjoyed it as I got him into watching the show as well 😃 We used "Day Tripper Tours to McLeod's Country" and Del was the best tour guide we could have imagined. Their phone number is +61 412 216 628 and they have booking available on their website as well. mcleodscountry.com.au You have to contact them in advance about dates as they have to get permission to show the property (Drovers Run is now a high end hotel). There were so many filming locations spread all over the area and we learned that the cast and crew filmed all on location outside which meant we got to see so many buildings and places from the show that are just part of a town instead of just visiting a studio somewhere. This was such an amazing experience! I want to go back and do the Killarney Property tour (the one we did was the Full Day Drovers Run). When you go please share your pictures with me! Still my favorite show ever 😊
I know how you feel! And they keep touting that there will be a reboot so I'm really hoping for that! Until then I'll keep re-watching again and again. If you get a chance to go on the tour it was definitely a dream come true for me.

@@KattieMetChris Thank you. Yes, Switzerland is nice but too small . My partner and I are moving to the UK next spring/summer, as we have a horse and a pony and need space. We can't find that in Switzerland. I am fed up with the mountains and too many people and no space. You can hardly find a great place in the country, as so many families are moving to the country. To visit it is a nice country but to live...well... UK has one of the most beautiful country in Europe if not the world and so much space and affordable. Take care xx

Love the show here in America (Tennessee)!!! I watch it on Amazon Prime.
Anyone here ever watch the first movie of McLeod's Daughters? Now that I've binged on the series, I'm obsessed to watch the movie... ❤️
Yes, I did. It's so totally different from the rest of the series. Just has a different feel. For me the series has a lot more 'heart" if that makes any sense, but when you watch it please let me know your take on it!
@@KattieMetChris Where can I watch the movie?
It's on Amazon and Hulu in the US but you can also find it free on TH-cam 😉 Please let me know what you think of it!
My wife asked if I wanted to vacation abroad (we're American) after the pandemic? I told her I wanted to go to Drover's Run 🙂
That is an excellent choice! We are going BACK to Drovers Run as soon as we can. This tour was a dream come true for me.
On our bucket list. Looks like my property.... So dry here on our farm still!
@@KattieMetChris omgosh there is going to be a Movie can't wait
@@susanwareham6170 Me either, I'm so excited!
Nice! thanks for share. Greetings from Venezuela
So happy you enjoyed it! Do you get McLeods Daughters on TV in Venezuela? It seems to cross all boundaries 🤗
Still my favorite show ever 😊
love this series forever greetings from germany
the series was like coming home for me
Hello and so great to hear from you! After watching this series it's like they become family no?
@@KattieMetChris kind of. it was homefeeling :)
Exactly! And it is so amazing that people from so many countries love it! So amazing.
I've watched all them 6 times.
it should have continued. They end only make you want more. was hoping they would of continued another 8
I know how you feel! And they keep touting that there will be a reboot so I'm really hoping for that! Until then I'll keep re-watching again and again. If you get a chance to go on the tour it was definitely a dream come true for me.
Love from Switzerland. Love the show very much.
Switzerland?? OMG I really want to visit there it looks sooo beautiful, especially during Christmas! McLeods Daughters is such a special show, it really stays in your heart. It always amazes me how many fans there are all over the world! Thanks so much for watching our video! If you like travel you may enjoy some of our other videos also! Have a great day and thanks again for reaching out!
I love the show I watched it when I was in university that was 10 years ago I felt in love with the show, love all the characters I cried when Claire got killed but this show is everything ❤❤❤❤❤
I know right? It's so amazing! Still my favorite forever
Drovers run is my favorite show i watch it eveeyday
I understand how you feel! I used to have a sticker that said "Drover's Run" on the back of my car...and I spent SOOOOOOOOOOO much money on memorabilia from the show 🤣😂🤣
I love it. 🥰😍I would also like to be there 😔
If you ever get a chance it's well worth it. I can't wait to go back and take the other part of the tour.
@@KattieMetChris I think that since my childhood it is a dream to assign it there but that will always be a dream because I come from Germany and it is not that easy. but i felt the vido of them and it was nice to watch.
@@jasmingroer7680 I didn't think I'd ever get the opportunity to visit but then after years of waiting I got the chance. Never give up hope! ❤
Un sogno .. come mi piacerebbe andarci 😩👍❤️❤️❤️❤️
andateci al più presto ... è bellissimo 😎🌴
I watch the McLeod daughters every day from Oak Hill Ohio
That is so wonderful to hear! 💖 I used be at work counting the minutes until I could get home and watch the show...that sounds really crazy when I say it but it's true 🤣 Do you have a favorite character or season? You didn't ask, but I'm going to tell you anyways, mine favs are Claire and Becky from the first 2 seasons 😊😊
I loved every season but season 8 the 6th episode where Alex died I cried so hard my favorite episode was when Tess and Nick got married
I watch it on Hulu
@@cherylmccoy2183 That's why it's so great, it makes me cry and laugh, sometimes in the same episode. That's why when we got to Australia I just had to go tour some of the filming locations and I'm hoping to do another tour when we get back to Australia 😊😊
@@cherylmccoy2183 When I started watching it I actually saw it on PBS or something like that and loved it so much I spent WAY too much money ordering the DVD's from Australia then having to buy a special VCR to watch them because I didn't know about country codes on DVD's at that time. Oh if I only would have invested that money in Apple stock...
I loved Australia for this series and we hoped to live in it. I am from Algeria 🇩🇿 Thank you
Thank you! I'm so happy you enjoyed watching our tour of Drovers Run. The show is just so amazing in how it reaches people from all over the world. It was really a dream come true for me to do this tour and I can wait to do another one! I'm also SUPER excited for the McLeods Daughters movie!!

Very nice!! Can't wait to hit the road internationally again!
The house has been totaly renovated into a hotel.
When we were there it was a hotel but they left the outside unchanged. Have they renovated the outside as well? That would be so tragic!! 😥
Very good. Tank's
Thank you! Happy you enjoyed it
Loved it but when Tess and Claire & Jody left it was not the same. It was just ok.
I still liked it after they (especially CLAIRE 😭😢) left but they really were the heart of the show… I still cry every time I watch it and see what happened to Claire
