If you like Esperance will be blown away with Bremmer Bay. I spent 5 years travelling the west coast, originally from NSW. Have now put my routes down at Capel. While in WA check out gnomes Ville between Donnybrook and Collie

Thanks guys I've only just found your channel, which is great by the way. We leave C Qld in May for trip to SA for 5 months so watching your videos with great interest. Barossa Valley is on our list as my husband and I are both 60 this year and a trip to McGill Estate (Penfolds) and McClaren Vale are definitely on our list. Your videos are really informative

Hi Folks, just some info in regards to the stone buildings that are so prominate throughout all of South Australia. To my understanding if i have my information correct (been a long long time since i was last in SA). They built stone building as termites getting into wood materials was a major issue

Great video again. I had Christmas Day at wullunga on the beach and it was a perfect weather day. Plenty of swims and prawns for lunch. I drove my Mercedes’ sprinter on the beach and you’re right, that beach was better than some of the roads down here. I blew a tyre just out of Rapid Bay and looks like Yankalilla council will pay for it because they are obligated to fix the pothole or pay for damages. I stayed at the caravan park at Port Elliot for 2 nights and now at the Frank Pots park up in Langhorne waiting till the 17th to have my van serviced.
    I’m checking out Strathalbyn tomorrow.
Loving that you are just ahead of me and giving me the heads up on all the good places to see. Keep up the great work guys. 😎
And merry Christmas, Hayley I missed the Christmas fun as well cause my family is in Brizvagas. ♥️🎄💃

SA has many wine regions, from the south east to the lenders ranges and everything in between.
If that’s what you’re into, you could spend your entire trip hopping from one to the next.
Germans (Prussians) settled in SA from 1838 and were religious refugees essentially.
The welcoming of multiple religions led to Adelaide being known as the City of Churches, not because there were lots of churches (although there are).
Wine making was brought here by these immigrants and that’s why there is such a large wine industry here, along with the climate and soils etc of course.
FYI, try the BOM for your weather app.
    There is nothing better.
    Happy travels guys.

    • @our.australia.trip.
      @our.australia.trip.  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Gday Rob & you summed up the history a lot better than I could've.
Adelaide & SA is a very interesting place and everywhere we go we see the impact the immigrants and settlers have made. How bizarre it must've been for them to end up on the other side of the world and stumble on a perfectly untouched Mediterranean climate.
Yes I agree, I use windy, willy weather & BOM. Hayley insist that apple weather is always right. I have learnt to just agree these days 😂
Thanks for watching & all the best for the new year!
