It is possible, but mostly not ideal. If you’re palms are sweating it’s really difficult to hold the wrist flexion, sometimes even impossible (on metal rings for example). Dry palms needed for sure.

How is that grip beneficial? (Aside from working your forearms). Does it make pull-ups or muscle-ups easier?
Rings muscle ups, slow bar muscle ups and in other exercises it’s beneficial yes
It allows you to apply torque on the rings to assist your lift, and to get the rings under your chest.
What i hate about it is I can't feel my lats at all it's all in the forearms
@@joemartingzon5698If you want lats, barbell rows are great. and for the overall forearms size the weighted pull up false grip is much better
My right arm gets numb when I do false grip. Is it normal
Probably not, if I was you I would seek some proffesional help about that.

Use hand cream or general moisturiser. Trust me I train false grip like crazy and I still got baby soft hands

Can a false grip be done without chalking up?
Yes, though I tend to sweat and then I slip into a normal grip after like 6 muscle ups. If your hands and rings are dry it shouldn't be a problem.
