Me and all my little feathered friends!! I have so many they migrate here every spring, I meant! I love all that you do, for all those sweeties!! All the birds! I feed them, have homes for them! They’re so peaceful and so free flying! I just released a dove I helped heal it’s broken wing, she lives around here too, plus some friends she’s shown who feeds, water and lives them!! You made me so happy!! Praying many realize also, if we take care of our eco system, it’ll take care of us all, without bug and weed spray. This I taught to my kiddos and grandkiddos.
Finches also love nesting in coffee jugs, there’s a few excellent ways of helping them also. The little guys are so strong and mighty!! They deserve help from us with yarn, torn rags, straw, as the squirrels do too!! I swear, my dogs, cats, the squirrels I have, and the birds that return know where they have a home!!
Thank you for a great video which reawakened fond memories of my own aviary etc which I had to sell soon after 1995 due to the end of my marriage and the sale of the matrimonial home. I used to breed Budgies, Zebra finches, Bengalese finches and Java sparrows and had just bought my first pair of Gouldian finches with a view to breed those as well. I also kept but did not breed Cockatiels and Canaries. I had to sell everything and move into a small flat. I've subscribed and look forward to your next video.
Sorry you had to give up the hobby. The small community here drives me on to do more videos and try different birds and aviaries etc :) I hope you enjoy your stay and check out some of my other videos.
I build my own next boxes, but I only keep Zebras, you have some nice Gouldian finch would love some but, my avairy needs an extension if I was to try them. Nice to see happy birds in an caring environment.
Awesome video! Beautiful Aviary. Very jealous. I’ve been trying to convince my mom to let me back into birds. I wanted quail but that was a instant no. So I’m going to ask to expand my finch population. Also beautiful gouldian finches those are some DREAM birds of mine!
Fantastic video will you get any diamond doves for the finch avairy and any different birds or just sticking to what you have now you also have some lovely colours
Cheers Dan - I want some owl finches but really hard to get them here. No diamond doves this time but always open to any bird that will fit in with the flock.

Great video. I have just put my budgies in their outdoor aviary for the first time and they are loving it but how do I get them to go in the sleeping bit at night? Is it like chickens and you have to show them for the first few nights until they get the hang of it?
Yes. Over winter the thermostat was at 17c until they finished moulting then 12c to get them ready for going in the aviary. There is a heater thats set to 10c inside for them if it gets too cold.
I like to keep them out when the minimum temp is 8c or above (with backup from a heater in the shed). In the south of UK it works out to be mid april to mid october.
Hi there, I have my own aviary full of budgies and essentially when I put them together they all became very aggressive and ended up killing each others babies. I was hoping you could let me know how Ur budgies remain so content with each other. Love your videos.
Hello. They have been kept together in a flight over winter so are used to each other. You have to keep an eye out every day. Any aggressive female must be removed. Hope this helps :)

hey can you give me advice on what to do? an immediate reply is not expected c: i've had two male lovebirds for a week. one is peach faced and the other is white and blue (i think the peach faced bird might be older, but they are both young). the peach faced bird has started pecking at the other bird and it's gotten to the point where their fighting includes flying around the cage. it used to be occasional but it's starting to be more frequent. they still sit and sleep next to each other and preen each others feathers. i've got only one big cage so i wouldn't be sure how to separate them. i haven't let them out of the cage yet and they are still scared of me. what should i do? should i give away one bird? they were both bought from a market and they were in the same cage. these are my first birds so i'm pretty inexperienced.
venus you could try putting them in separate cages next to each other so the can have their own space and then reintroduce them to each other, lovebirds are know to be territorial sometimes. I’m not an expert but this might work. Good luck!

Hello. I have their food inside so they go in and then stay in at night (most of the time).
I have an outdoor aviary and they go inside every night on their own.
Do you provide any heat to the Gouldian finches when it gets cold ?

Do you feed grass, and I seen some bigger voliere, to move,
millet sprays we feed them with spinach
Amazing 😍😍
In this special video we take a look at our new birds progress over winter and see them settle down in their new aviaries!
Lovely video but a quick question! Do you use boiled water? Obviously cooled down
For what? Drinking? No never have..
Oh yes I should of said lol, I always found my birds had lots of diarrhoea till I used just cold boiled water for them to drink.
How much of the year do you keep Gouldians outside??
I like to keep them out when the minimum temp is 8c or above (with backup from a heater in the shed). In the south of UK it works out to be mid april to mid october.
Cool thanks!!
Hi. We just built an outdoor aviary for our budgies. Do you keep your out all year? If so, do you heat the aviary and how?
Great videos 😁
Lovely.
Bellos😍😍😍😍
Have you went for colony breeding for your budgies?
Yes :)
Beautiful
Mashallah very nice
Will you be adding ringnecks anytime
Not any time soon if I do.
Its beautifull, i want it one,,,,
What time of year would you buy a new breeding pair, and when would you try breed them
How to do winter days🤔
are those chinese or japanese quail in aviary? what do you find work best and how many do you think you really need?
I think that with 11 in there they wont breed which is good and they keep scraps down and they are not fighting so seems good :)
and they are chinese painted
Nice fantastic
