That´s the unofficial anthem of the reunification of Germany. Written way before the wall came down,published in 1990 1 year after the Berlin wall falls.
This song came out at the end of the Cold War and when the Berlin Wall came down and when we truly thought the world was becoming a better place. They are a German band and were very popular in the 80s. Love his voice!
Klaus Meine has an incredible voice. If you really want to hear it shine, listen to We'll burn the Sky, Send me an Angel, or Still loving You (the 6 minute version, not the 3 minute version that's missing half of the song). That voice cuts right through you. Scorpions are my favourte band ever. Would love to see your reaction to one of these songs. If you truly like his voice, you'll love those songs :)
this came out late 91 early 92 some of the clips are from the 60s when the soviets still ruled the easern block before its callapse in late 90 you see all the soldiers in the desert that was desert storm there are channels dedicated to history
The very first time I heard this was while watching a Filipino cover band in Singapore. They nailed it, (including the whistle) I had been at sea so didn't get to hear it before that. I LOVE the Scorpions. I rock with them, but this my favorite song. 10/03/2017 Grand Sierra Resort Reno 😎😎
