    I have two BBSHD bikes and no rear hub drive ebikes. My BBSHD bikes with 52v batteries will top out at 40mph.
    Would be great fun to have more top end but of course risk is elevated as you state as mtb's aren't designed for higher speeds.
    From someone that has built a lot of cars, motorcycles and ebikes, what you describe as 'sketchy' is what makes something fun albeit with risk. Riding on the edge. A more solid aka competent chassis makes the riding experience more serene. If you drove muscle cars of the 60's this is quite apparent...weak chassis and brakes and bad tires.
    Thanks for sharing your talent and build with us.

    For everyone building any electric vehicle. Never use that yellow wiring block. The wires get too hot and will melt plastic. If don't catch it on time, it will short your battery with. Motor phase wires with the full voltage of battery, damaging your motor, damaging your battery and can cause a fire.
    Please do not use that yellow block. Just get copper washers, tight that bolt and use isolation tape around the connections.
    That torque arm is not recommended for 3000w, only up to 1500w ma .
    You need a much longer, stronger and made of stainless steel to hold the motor in place.
    That frame is not recommended, because as you can see, very little of the drop out attach to the motor, research a more appropriate frame for such high power with reliability. For the purpose of the video, it will work.
    Great build man. It gives people the basic to start, showing that, It's not that difficult.

      Wouldn't heat shrink be better than electrical tape or use both?
      I couldn't agree more with you about that torque arm. I have two custom torque arms on a 1200W Ebikeling conversion. One on each side. Cost almost $300 but strong as hell stainless steel and no hose clamps because they bolt into some extra rear rack holes.
      I think this frame is fine (except lack of rear rack bolts for torque arms and probably only supports 160mm rotors) considering the motor is 135mm and not 150mm but this motor is definitely the most hub motor powerful you can get on a pedal bike frame.

    I am looking forward to doing my own build with this motor. I bought a normal aluminum Gravity frame and fork that (that accepts 180mm rotors on them) with no other components attached to them for this.
    What I would do differently than you do is either have custom torque arms or Grin Tech v6 or v7 torque arms on both wheels. Also the wire for the controller facing up is a place where water can get in and damage every electrical component.
    I did a conversion with the cheapest Walmart bike and the worst component for that bike that would stop me from getting a heavy duty motor like this one on it is of course the brakes. Rim Brakes.

    Hey Tommy, I have a few questions and I'm really not trying to be an ass here, but I don't understand the link that you put in the description about the motor was a 3000 watt motor, but you said it was 6,000 Watts so I don't get that. How do you arrive at that? What am I missing ? Question number two is I don't see a chain on there at least from the angles that I saw. Do you have a chain on there and if you do how fast can you pedal that before you're not pedaling anymore the motor just out runs you? (If that makes sense) I was thinking about buying a Talaria XXX with the pedal kit but apparently even with the pedal kit it doesn't give much speed to it at all with the pedals so that's why I was kind of thinking about going your route and building a bike instead. I'm not looking to pedal this thing all the way up to 50 mph but I would like to be able to pedal at least till about 30 mph. I guess question number three is I know it's been awhile but that other bike you have the Enduro how much do you think it cost to build one of those these days because the links that you have in the video for that are kind of off.
    Thanks

    • @ENDOPRYSMyt
      @ENDOPRYSMyt  23 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

      So the reason the bike is 6000 watts is because although the motor is rated for 3000 watts it is being ran at 6000. This is because the power comes from the controller and battery combo and only flows through the motor. But don’t worry that 3000 watt motor could handle more like 9000 watts just fine with no issues. Also I did not add a chain to the bike for this specific video. Mostly because I was having issues with the chain I currently had not fitting.
      Assuming I had a chain in the bike I would only be able to pedal up to about 25mph before the gearing would be overcome by the power of the motor so it’s sort of useless. Lastly it costs about 4000 ish to build the enduro. I haven’t been making videos on it recently as much just because there is not much more to say about it for me anymore as I already have sooo many videos on it. If I want my channel to grow I need to move on and do more projects. Not to say I won’t occasionally do videos on the enduro.

    • @ENDOPRYSMyt
      @ENDOPRYSMyt  23 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @ronbrown4551 I thing it’s a pretty Evan decision. On one hand you won’t get the same speed and smooth ride that the enduro has don’t forget range. But on the other the talaria is more capable off road and will come in a neat package. One thing is for sure tho the enduro may cost 1000 dollars less.

    • @ronbrown4551
      @ronbrown4551 23 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@ENDOPRYSMytyeah I wasn't sure if I could build a cheaper than that Talaria it's 3,150 plus tax and shipping it should be about 3,750 plus 150 for the pedal kit, and you're right it does come in a nice package and that kind of stuff. It's just that pedal thing and the fact that the thing makes a lot of noise. The plus sign it's like got a warranty that kind of thing. So I'm kind of torn between the two ideas

And efficient when it comes to utilizing energy and not having it lost through over heating. But I see allot of videos with qs205 handling allot of power. I always thought that if you put too much power in a motor, then the power of the motor is lost through heat. And even if you cool it with stator aid and hub heat sinks, it is still lost power. Not that Im against ferro fluid and hub sinks, that I think it should be used in the power rang of the qs205 regardless, because you’re going to have hot days, potential steep climbs and Times, you are running it at its peak for a good while. I think a decent range for the qs 205 is between 6kw to 10kw. I always thought a good range for the qa205 is around 10kw. I always here that the qs273 needs more power to operate because of the weight. Dont know how much of that is true.
