The most irritating thing about Sindel slaughtering the majority of the good guys is that all of them go ONE AT A TIME against Sindel when they could've pulled a Jujutsu Kaisen and jumped her. Some of them have magic, firearms, and other stuff, so why didn't they USE any of those to give them an advantage.
I feel like that applies to villains or villain henchmen because there are times when they go at the good guys one at a time and it always pissed me off
I guess they really just wanted all those characters dead and this was the only way to do it. Theres too many ways they could have handled her for it to make sense

Obviously y'all spent too much time trying to be fancy and use special Combos, when you have to fight someone like Shao Khan, using the spamming strat when he leaves himself open is your best option, screw your pride trying to learn moves when you have a boss this unfair. When you see something that works, stick with it. I used this strategy and beat Shao Khan after my 2nd to 3rd try until I could beat him first try

The fact that you didn't need to rely on constant heavy/adult language and imagery to keep the video engaging just shows how great of an entertainer you are, and made it a lot safer to watch, cleaner. I have mk9 complete edition, and Freddy is playable from the start. He’s on the same row as all the dlc characters, like kratos, scarlet, and kenshi, but Freddy isn’t visible. You have to keep scrolling left on the dlc row and you’ll see him

I don't understand why so many people complain over Shao Kahn's difficulty. It is as easy as constantly jumping over him, kiting his attacks until he gives you an opening, then you hit him with your best combo. Repeat this until he is no longer with us. This strategy can be used by any character btw. I find his AI easier to deal with than Shinnok and Kronika.
23:14 they’re missing that unique and strange charm. It’s feeling much more basic and clean in a way. Kinda like how the mcu presents itself. Even the mk music now is much more of the usual thing you’d hear, rather than something weird or eerie

And in mk X kano tries to use tech to make him self appear as an old woman so sonya wouldnt regonize him, and he had fully working cloaking tech. so probably his current empoyler just opened portal for him or something.
I want a remaster of 9. Best roster, best story, best skins. And I know all the moves. Only part I didn't like was the revenant skin for lung Lao being locked behind online king of th hill matches.

This is the game that got me into the Mortal Kombat franchise. I remember it being one of the first games I got to play on my younger cousin's Xbox 360. The joy I got from whopping all of them in local 1v1s is priceless to this day🤣. So it's safe to say that without this reboot, I wouldn't be the MK fan that I am today. I'm fortunate enough to own a PS Vita & its version of this game😌. Meaning I have access to all DLC characters from the jump. Including Kratos, Freddy Kruger & a second challenge tower.

I'm on board with you about most of the stuff you talk about in this video, except for a couple of things. The main thing is about D'vorah; she's my favorite character in the modern era, and definitely the most unique and creative newer character for MK. Yeah she's weird, but fits in surprisingly well and is hella underappreciated. Erron Black is pretty sick too. Personally I love the majority of the fresh blood in MKX-11, I think they're way better than Tekken 7-8's new blood, even though T8 is still fire and shits on MK1 100 times over. The other thing is about the Shao Kahn fights, and how disappointed I was that you didn't finish the game and show the ending. He's mad cheap yes, but all you really need to do is jump behind him and do big combos. There's videos showcasing it that are easy to find on YT lol. It's far more satisfying than winning via taunt cheese. Or just play on easy/very easy if you can't be bothered to learn a little. Otherwise good analysis on the story.
I'm at a point where I am burnt out with MK1, so this video came at the right time. there are aspects of that game that I really enjoy; I think the story across all MKs are very well made and written, and personally I love the aesthetics and art direction, but the gameplay just isn't sticking and Im getting bored. while I think MK1's gameplay is a pivot in the right direction from the restrictions of MK11, the problem is that they had to course-correct in the first place. NRS moved away from legacy movesets therefor alienating MK9/MKX veterans, certain mechanics and move properties have been changed or removed bringing the pace of actual matches to a crawl, and many animations lack visual flare so it all becomes very mundane to watch after a little while.
Holy crap I'm so glad I've seen someone else say it, but I agree with your take on how Mortal Kombat feels now. The "Mortal Kombat Vibes" are just gone. MK9 was definitely the last game that had the real spirit of Mortal Kombat in its DNA. The games after, even if they're good fighting games, just don't FEEL like Mortal Kombat games anymore. They've had their edge shaved down until the only thing remaining about it that's remotely edgy is the over the top gore, which stopped being shocking a while ago. MK1 is the first Mortal Kombat game that feels like it's a zombie franchise now. It'll probably never go back to having the Mortal Kombat vibes again, which breaks my damn heart to pieces to say.

This was the first mk game I played,had it on the ps vita this is easily top 3 for me
10:00 Kano has some next level outworld and earths military tech + probably some dark magic putten in to him at some point, he has been fighting for sorceres for his whole mk lore life. And in mk X kano tries to use tech to make him self appear as an old woman so sonya wouldnt regonize him, and he had fully working cloaking tech. so probably his current empoyler just opened portal for him or something.
I want a remaster of 9. Best roster, best story, best skins. And I know all the moves. Only part I didn't like was the revenant skin for lung Lao being locked behind online king of th hill matches.
mk9 is goated, I remember spending countless hours playing against friends and cousins, me playing the single player and ladder mode on christmas is a core memory of mine

This is the game that got me into the Mortal Kombat franchise. I remember it being one of the first games I got to play on my younger cousin's Xbox 360. The joy I got from whopping all of them in local 1v1s is priceless to this day🤣. So it's safe to say that without this reboot, I wouldn't be the MK fan that I am today.
I'm fortunate enough to own a PS Vita & its version of this game😌. Meaning I have access to all DLC characters from the jump. Including Kratos, Freddy Kruger & a second challenge tower.

I'm on board with you about most of the stuff you talk about in this video, except for a couple of things.
The main thing is about D'vorah; she's my favorite character in the modern era, and definitely the most unique and creative newer character for MK.
Yeah she's weird, but fits in surprisingly well and is hella underappreciated.
Erron Black is pretty sick too.
Personally I love the majority of the fresh blood in MKX-11, I think they're way better than Tekken 7-8's new blood, even though T8 is still fire and shits on MK1 100 times over.
The other thing is about the Shao Kahn fights, and how disappointed I was that you didn't finish the game and show the ending.
He's mad cheap yes, but all you really need to do is jump behind him and do big combos.
There's videos showcasing it that are easy to find on YT lol.
It's far more satisfying than winning via taunt cheese.
Or just play on easy/very easy if you can't be bothered to learn a little.
Otherwise good analysis on the story.

I'm at a point where I am burnt out with MK1, so this video came at the right time. there are aspects of that game that I really enjoy; I think the story across all MKs are very well made and written, and personally I love the aesthetics and art direction, but the gameplay just isn't sticking and Im getting bored. while I think MK1's gameplay is a pivot in the right direction from the restrictions of MK11, the problem is that they had to course-correct in the first place. NRS moved away from legacy movesets therefor alienating MK9/MKX veterans, certain mechanics and move properties have been changed or removed bringing the pace of actual matches to a crawl, and many animations lack visual flare so it all becomes very mundane to watch after a little while.
Holy crap I'm so glad I've seen someone else say it, but I agree with your take on how Mortal Kombat feels now. The "Mortal Kombat Vibes" are just gone. MK9 was definitely the last game that had the real spirit of Mortal Kombat in its DNA. The games after, even if they're good fighting games, just don't FEEL like Mortal Kombat games anymore. They've had their edge shaved down until the only thing remaining about it that's remotely edgy is the over the top gore, which stopped being shocking a while ago.
MK1 is the first Mortal Kombat game that feels like it's a zombie franchise now. It'll probably never go back to having the Mortal Kombat vibes again, which breaks my damn heart to pieces to say.

well, only if one cares about what they did in the latest mks. mk9 is the real timeline as far as im concerned.
