Very good video. You describe several reasons why a golfer pulls their shot, not just give one blanket reason like a lot of other instructors. This gives the golfer options to identify their fault and make corrections. Bravo!
Glad this helps you out! Appreciate the feedback! If you ever have any questions or need anything, please don’t hesitate to reach out!

Left pressure tip was a gem. Million Thanks
👊👊👊 Glad this helped! Let me know if you need anything!
@@tsgolf Can we safely say that even the best in the game have a tendency to pull their fairway bunker shots. If my assumption is right, statistically speaking, then could it be more mental rather than technical that forces this pull?
Two minutes in & I'm subscribed . I think I understand now why I pull my short irons 👍
Sweet! Thank you! 👊👊👊
One of the best videos I’ve seen. Saying this I admit to all that I pull every shot including chips.
Thank you much! Let me know if you ever have any questions or need anything!
Thank you, just cured my pull issues with a clear and detailed explanation of things I can change easily .....THANK YOU!
So awesome to hear! Thank you!
Your instructions are the best.
Really appreciate it!! If you ever have any questions, please do let me know!
TS
what a great tip you gave about anti pull grip. I tried it and it really worked. So many other tips are so confusing but who wouldn't understand this easy change.
Thank you
Really cool to hear and glad this made a difference! Sometimes basic fundamentals are all we need! Thanks for the comment, feedback and support!
Finally! Been fighting a pull and haven’t known why. Closing the face at impact because of forward shaft lean. Thanks and subscribed
Glad to hear! Thanks so much for sharing! 👊👊👊
Love watching you teach TS 👊
Thank you so much! 🙏🙏🙏
Omg finally found the perfect video for my issues. I've been stripping the ball really good with my irons but I keep missing the green to the left (almost killed a guy by puring a 4 iron on the other fairway to my left). Time to head for the driving range and find the root of my problem, I know its in this video. Thanks Trevor!!!
Thanks so much and please let me know if you need anything or have any questions!
Nice explanations of the cause. This isn’t the only video that you explain causality. Going to have to review the other ones about early extension again.
BTW, just played today and hit so many more quality iron shots. Made 3 birdies within 5 feet. Two of them were with sweet 4 irons with such nice compression.
So awesome to hear!!! Thanks for sharing and glad to hear this is making a difference in how you are playing! So awesome!
Nothing more fun than flushing 4-irons to tap in range either! 👊👊👊

Superbly explained, good coaching
Thank you much!!!
First video I have seen from you other than those with Cogorno. Excellent and I have subscribed. I have this pulling problem and now have some solutions to try.
Let me know how it works and if you have any questions!
Young man you know what you are talking about. Well done...👍
Thank you much! Greatly appreciate it! If you ever need anything or have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out!
This video was excellent and I was pulling the ball constantly with my irons and occasionally with my fairway woods. My mistake was standing too far from the ball and had it slightly forward in my stance. I made the adjustments Trevor suggested and I stopped pulling the ball and starting hitting it slightly right with a slight draw right at the pin. Thanks Trevor!
Thank you, love the detailed clear explanation.
You got it! Hope this helps! 🙏🙏
Another great video. I either pull my shots or hit it on the toe with an open clubface because I swing out to in and pull the handle towards me, getting the dredded chicken wing. All of the mistakes that you adress are mistakes that I make, either one or two of them or all at once. I have to work with these tips from you on the range tonight.
Awesome!!! Thanks for sharing! Let me know how it goes and if you have any questions!
Love the way you explain the golf swing
Thank you much! 🙏🙏🙏
Great video. It solved my issue with pilling. Tx
That’s so awesome!!! Thanks so much for sharing! 👊👊👊
THANK YOU Coach Trevor. This is my biggest issue. If I'm on a par 3...to use as an example....I have to aim right to allow for my considerable right-to-left ball flight. And I still often end up having my ball miss left just off of the green. I understand left and right tendencies for different individuals. But my ball flight is considerably more than just a right-to-left ball flight. I'm going to take your suggestions here to the practice range. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
Thank so much for the kind words! I hope this helps! If you are struggling with the ball moving too far to right, make sure you do something that’ll help change the face through the hitting area! If you have any questions, please let me know!
Grip and forward press… Good advice. Thanks Coach 😊
Thank you!
Absolutely excellent instruction on this particular topic! Well done and thank you! New subscriber here!
Thanks for the kind words and feedback! Means a lot! Appreciate it!
Ive been pulling shots for years! After watching the first 2 minutes I gripped my club like i normally would and then even though it looked square on the ground, it was slightly closed when i picked it up. Thanks for the tip!!!
You got it! Thank you for the comment and feedback! Greatly appreciated and glad this makes sense and helps!
Great content! I struggle with pulled shots occasionally.
You are welcome! Thanks for the comment!
very clear and understandable.
Thank you!
At the end of the video you referenced pressure not a hip bump. Is the way to get to that pressure the wrench analogy you used in another video? Getting the right/trail hip back should bring pressure to the front leg/knee? I can see practicing that but how do you get there in the real swing. Thank you again for being so patient.
Thanks again for all the info and questions here! I’m happy to help anyway I can! I think the best way I could help you here would be via a call. I’ve attached a 15min consultation call below if you’d like to dive deeper into the wrench analogy and pressure of where the feet are placed:

This is quite good. I've worked on drawing my irons for a couple years, and often over draw the ball quite a bit. I think the grip I use at address is why. I never thought of this before, and I've watched lots of videos. I use the "stack and tilt" set up, and perhaps I need the ball a bit back more in my stance, too.
I think this is the best video I've watched to correct my "over drawing" my irons. Thanks.
Thanks for sharing! I greatly appreciate it! Let me know how this goes and if you have any questions! 👊👊👊
Me too. I was setting up way too closed. I even find myself closing my grip in the backswing if I'm not careful.
I'm loving these how-to videos.
This one is meant for me. 😅 I feel like I'm swinging straight, but my h-plane is always 5° out-to-in.
Thank you! Appreciate the feedback! 👊👊
This was a really good video overall. Thx.
One question. Should the stance be a little bit inside out/pull the trail foot back and in a little bit? Or does the swinging around the body take care of the ball starting slightly right of the target and back in with a baby draw?
Pulling the foot back is always an option and can help if you struggle w/ start line and path.
Otherwise the way the arms arc around the body/ spine in combo w/ where the ball position is will take care of it!
Thanks for the comment!
It looks as though you have the same clubs as I do: Miura 001 with Aerotech shafts. Nice.
You got the aerotech shaft correct! Testing out a new set of irons my club builder in Palm Beach is creating! I’ll let ya know more when they are complete!
Thanks, nice simple tips.. feel like I come slightly over the top and close the face sometimes. I been dropping my right foot back slightly to help. Like the extra ball back and grip check advice. Liked and new subscriber 👌
Awesome! Let me know how it goes and if you have any questions or need anything!
Thanks you saved my life. My grip was closed and i have a forward press which resulted in every single shot going between 10 and 40 yards left. Only way I could hit a straight shot was to try and hit a fade and if i kept it open as hard as i could it would go straight. Now I can miss left or right.😂
That’s awesome! So glad this helped! Really cool to get feedback from from you like this. So now the face is setting up more open in relation to target line but actually square to the arc correct?
@tsgolf correct. I align the blade to my spine and fight the urge to close it at address. I come from the inside 3 or 4 degrees with an 8i, so 2 degrees closed at Impact is a disaster.
Excellent! Thanks!
👊👊👊
very well explained. Thanks for sharing. What tweaks are needed from this to driver?
Thank you! Appreciate it!
For driver, assuming you hit up on it, you can align the feet more closed, rotate the center points of the body more closed (3-5* which will offset the amount of up you hit on it). Also don’t be afraid to add a little bit of trail side bend.
Thanks,
TS
@@tsgolf Thanks.
TS you are truly one of the very best on YT. thank you for sharing your expertise!
Thank a bunch! Means a lot!!!! 🙏🙏🙏
Great video…new sub. By starting with pressure on the lead side would that not be like stack and tilt. Don’t disagree, just asking.
It would be like S&T especially for this particular miss. When you can keep the center on the body in front of the golf club longer, that’ll allow the club to stay behind and start the ball more online! Not a bad place to start as well if contact is an issue. Not something that is an absolute must though! Thanks for the comment and feedback!
@@tsgolf Thanks
Now, how does this relate to hitting driver? I hit my irons well, with low point consistently after the ball. But with driver and trying to hit up on the ball, i seem to have an outside in swing path, as my ball starts left and draws as well. Ive worked on getting rid of my slice by ensuring either a square or closed face at impact, but because I struggle to fix my path, now i either straight pull my driver, or draw/hook it. What drills can help me get this longer club going inside out while hitting up on the ball?
Thanks - new to channel. I like the geometry you include.
Understanding attack angle and what it can do is huge! For every degree you hit up on a ball, it shifts your path 1* outside in. The two things I’d recommend doing with driver:
- Close the stance as many degrees as you hit up on it (find out TrackMan data). Roughly 3-5*.
- Take the center points of your body (belt buckle and buttons on shirt) and rotate these closed roughly 3-5*. Make sure you are also starting w/ trail side bend at address.
Make sure the face at setup is square to your spine and not starting off closed to it.
Hope this help!
TS
@@tsgolf makes sense - if the ball is forward in our stance and the low point is now behind the ball so that we can hit up on the ball, because our swing is an arc, after the low point our club has to be coming back towards our body, hence the out to in path. Is that the idea behind this?
I'll try this at the range.
I also struggle with keeping my lead shoulder back behind the ball, vs and iron shot where it moves ahead of the ball to ensure a downward angle of attack. When i try to keep my shoulder behind the ball for driver, i seem to get the upper body rotating too soon, lose my side bend, and my club path gets too far outside.
Do you have a video on this?
For the life of me I couldn't figure out why I always had a shut clubface at the top even with a neutral grip and flat left wrist, and it all came down to gripping it with the forward press. Something so little fixed all that. My wrists couldn't get much set at the top either and were very uncomfortable. Thanks
That’s so great to hear! Glad this helped you bring awareness to it! Always start out with basics and make sure those aren’t the cause of what’s going wrong. If those are in a good place, then we can look at movement issues. Thanks for the comment and feedback! 🙏🙏
very helpfull
Thank for the comment and feedback! Appreciate it!
not bad. thx.
Thank you!!!
thankyousir!
👊👊👊
I grip the club face closed
You can also hold the club straight up in front of you and make sure the face is closed to where your spine sits when standing straight up and down
But you didn’t explain how to fix gripping the club face closed
Set alignment stick down in the center of your feet and make sure that the face is gripper and then setup a few degrees open to that!
You lost me at the grip...BS! I teach and that's not the real cause with a decent golfer.
Everyone is entitled to their own choices. I’m just listing one of the many causes I have seen in teaching and through studying.
Happy to jump on a call and chat with you about it. Here is a link and I’ll gladly discuss it further over the phone:

@@tsgolfthis is exactly what I’ve been doing with my hybrid. Just could not understand why I was pulling it so badly but I had been taking my grip with the club to the side so that it sat more in the fingers, then setting the club square simply by angling it in to the ball. Thank you so much - I never would have figured that out on my own!
Talking too much
