I agree that the power difference is ridiculous between characters... I just played necro with wraithlord as soon as I got to 65 and I literally had crappy yellow gear on it and that thing was dealing 1 mil dmg on the training dummy while my lvl 90 mage was barely doing 100k.
I came from PoE; I started PoE only an year ago so I have barely scratched the surface there, but I am really liking the 1-90 lvl experience LE provides. I wasn't expecting endgame activities to hold me like PoE does as this is a new release game. I have gotten 90 for Warlock, Pali, and Bladedancer and I like them all very much with all of them having their own strengths. Been feeling the Necro itch since the beginning of 1.0 as Necro is the only char I played in early release so I will try this build. Would be great if you could add a filter for the builds too.
Switched from increased fire wraiths(maxed out at 16) + shade + life drain on them for insane life drain, max resists buffs etc and have to say this build is way easier to play and much much stronger.
Tried that build, I don't have optimal gear yet but it works pretty well so far, enemies die in no time. The thing I'm struggling the most with is defense. My character is 85, sitting on 1,5k health with almost all resistances at cap and I have to be REALLY careful in empowered (default 100 corruption) monoliths not to die. For example those jumping tigers - one jump and I am dead. Any ideas on how to improve survivability? EDIT: Alright I changed the following things: using ambitions of an erased acolyte (probably optional but mine has good stats), Exsanguinous and Chronostasis gives me plenty of ward, synergizes well with the experimental belt and opens the offhand for +minion damage. The damage is still insane (Logan had no chance to go into second phase) and the survivability is MUCH better. Will experiment with "missing health gained as ward" once I go into higher corruption levels but for 100 it is absolutely fine now.
Tried it a few days ago. While the Wraithlord is absolutely amazing damage, the AI for it just sucks big time (specifically movement), so I can easily understand why you'd go for the static version of the build. It just "skates around" for me, trying to kinda "position itself", and that obviously causes damage downtime - big time. It's infuriating. Might try your version of it, as it seems a fair bit more consistent in terms of damage.

I am pretty sure Doomed Wrath doesn't work, because it is a Wraithlord, not a Wraith. At least i dont see any difference in damage with or without this node.
I wish I had gotten that helmet before I got so invested into warlock build. I'd literally need to create a new acolyte to try this. Looks so interesting though.
I'm about to roll from warlock to necro, I cant seem to get the items I need to even push the normal lvl 100 corruption, but I've got a stupid number of items for a wraith build while trying to make my bleed warlock.
@bojangles5226 this exactly the boat I'm on. Bleed warlock lvl 85 and I'm getting destroyed and have all the uniques for wraith instead. Maybe they need to adjust the loot drops

Your build helped me to enjoy wraithlord, without all those items difficult to get. I hope some kind of update.

if it is necrotic minion damage yes. if it is only necrotic damage then no.
