I agree that there must definitely be some demand for more of this kind of use-case. It's exactly what I'm hoping to get set up also. I like the idea of a cheap direct drive wheel, but would really rather it be more on the compact end (like the Cammus C5), as I just don't have the space for a wheel-stand, let alone a full cockpit. My only issue with the current options on offer are all the horror stories about their after-sale support - Moza, Cammus and Fanatec just have such bad reputations for customer service right now.
I was on a desk mount setup for no more than a week, before I decided to build myself a DIY wooden rig. That wooden rig lasted a few months before I ultimately decided to dive in to a proper rig. I get that a lot of these dedicated rigs doesn't look pleasing, but have you seen the rest of the room of those who build these rigs? They are 95% of the time, just as messy, and definitely not pleasing to look at. With some time and effort, you can have a big dedicated eyesore of a rig, be pleasing to look at. Cable management is key (as you certainly know). If this kind of setup satisfies your simulator needs, more power to you! 😁
Ahha yep as an fps gamer that occasionally likes drifting I know this problem very well. I had a g29 setup for my desk 2 years ago but sold it to save space and buy more mousepads. Recently I really had the urge to get back into it but wanted a super clean setup that’s minimal and easy to put back. Was thinking of getting the Moza r3 though as it looks tiny. I really wish companies would make wireless usb shifters though as it’s so annoying having to setup up the shifter each time.
THIS! Hey man, I didn't know you were into simracing! Just like you, I would like to have a civilised sim racing setup that is easy to put away, I thought I was lonely...
I got this wheel a few weeks back and ive been really happy with it but the desk clamp issue is a pain, i emailed them about the problem and they said it was my fault! 🙄 I'm going to send this video to them
amazing video! very recently I got into sim racing and I have a very similar setup but I couldn't resist and I need to ask, please share the mod list and settings for assetto Corsa, it looks incredible.
Nice to see the minimalist setup here, I have a full on rig, but it's about getting the right equipment for the right job. Do you do any ACC by any chance?
please if you can do review of new Lenovo Legion R25f-30 its a 240hz va panel wich cost 200euro no one has done a review yet I just want to make sure is god monitor before buying thnx

This is great. I've been looking to get into sim racing and have been thinking about the best setup to use. Thanks.
btw for those looking for a less obvious alternative to a wheelstand look at coffee racer.
you might like the 'coffee racer' its a fold away racing rig that turns into a table
Wow, that's interesting 🤔
Damn my favorite new (to me) tech channel AND now some sim racing content?? Let’s goooo
I appreciate how zour videos are always nice and short.

Then in 10 years you have cancer because of all the wireless gaming stuff 😅
@@SwisshostNo, radio waves do not create cancer, as long as you are not exposed by very high power sources like radar stations.

Thanks! Mods are pretty basic actually: CST + SOL with SOL Extra Reinhard filter and cranked graphics settings.
@@techlessYT will try thanks!

what desk is that
Nice, I have been eying the fanatec set up for quite sometime...but i couldn't brink myself to spend that much. This is a lot fairer priced for me.
Is the Logitech g29 with shifter good for a desk?
I wish they had some stronger folding/moveable options even if they cost more. The community's "get at least an 8020 rig" is unnecessary gatekeeping
What do tou think about those paddle shifts? Looks very small and that concerns me a lot, since my hands are kinda small
They work surprisingly well despite the small size, but I hope they'll hold up over time as they seem a bit flimsy.
4 month Cammus c5 update would be appreciated
It's still going strong. Anti slip pads on the pedals started to wear down through, so I built a little contraption to attach the pedals to the chair.
Which driving game do you prefer more?
I like AC (with CM) and ACC 👍

The pedals seem abyssmal... Do they offer other pedals or is the wheel compatible with other pedals?
On PC you can use other pedals as long as they have USB. I think the game also needs to support a second controller, but most relevant games do.
@@techlessYT Thanks for the answer!
