I think that there’s a false idea out there that suggests that any blindfolded lab chimp can make a good edge on synthetics but this isn’t the case. Creating a good synthetic edge is its own discipline that can take time and effort to master.
Absolutely right! Just like naturals, synthetics are their own thing, and even between brands, they have their own personality. Us blindfolded lab chimps need a fair bit of practice in order to get it right :)
